With double Gameweek 31 looming large over our Fantasy plans, we turn to the Key Performance Index tables in the members section and assess a selection of players with a pair of fixtures on their upcoming agendas. The KPI data focuses on the frequency of key stats or events in order to track player form –we look to the top 10 most improved midfielders in terms of minutes per shots inside the box and also assess forwards’ shooting accuracy over the past six Gameweeks:

"I felt something in my left leg in the run with Messi at the start of the game," said the Argentine.
"I tried to continue, but at halftime I didn't want to run any more risks."
City assistant boss Ruben Cousillas said Aguero would undergo a scan on Thursday but that he remained hopeful the injury wouldn't be too serious.
"It is still too early to say how long he could be out. Apparently it is nothing serious," he said.
"He will have a scan tomorrow. The doctors will decide, at the moment we can't speculate."

In the most recent findings of the Uefa Elite Club Injury Study, hamstrings are the most common injury, accounting for 25-30 per cent of injuries across the elite teams in Europe.
Clubs are reporting that their players return to play after an average of four to six weeks of intense rehabilitation.
They still run a high risk of re-injury: the first month after return is the highest-risk time though the risk remains elevated for at least 12 months.
The risk of injury relates to three key things: previous injury history and approach to being a professional athlete; the load on a player and club-related factors.
The club pressures (real or perceived) often place the player at greatest risk.
Injuries are negatively correlated to performance, and cost money.
Agüero’s first game back for Manchester City after his last injury was against Sunderland in the Capital One Cup final, where he played 57 minutes, followed by the FA Cup tie against Wigan, in which he played 90 minutes.
Now with his apparent re-injury, Manchester City and the player face a difficult period. With eight weeks of the season remaining, there will be a new pressure to get their main striker back. Set against this will be the player’s horizon of not risking the opportunity to play in the World Cup in Brazil.

Can we assume he is of no use for DGW31?
Thanks!Open Controls-
That sounds very bad indeed.

HOW ABOUT AGUERO's INJURY GUYS ?????
Open Controls-
Aguero crocked.
It is so.Open Controls-
don't spread false information, the scan hasn't come back yet.

He's injured....again......crocked in other words.

Will we know news about the extent of Aguero's injury before the next price rise/fall time or will it likely be by the following price rise/fall time?
Open Controls -
This is my first full season of FPL, and I'm trailing in my cash mini league by 48 points (I think), would any of you veterans be able to give advice on how to catch up? And tips or tricks? I know he captains Suarez every week.
Open Controls-
Post up your team first.
Open Controls-
It's linked.
Open Controls
-
-
48 pts isn't that much. Don't worry about captaincy just do what you usually do. There will be some weeks where there are better alternatives than Suarez for captain but don't feel as if you have to have a captaincy differential every week, because you don't. Plenty of time.
Open Controls-
Thanks, I could really do with the £260 though!
Open Controls-
Just play your natural game. Its better to be calm and collected then go all Mark like and pick differentials left right and centre.
Open Controls-
I like how Mark is the new word for mental 😛
Open Controls-
😆
Open Controls -
Ha, its all in jest of course. But I guess we have all seemed a part of his faltering season thanks to the pre-ables and the scout casts. We all follow his team and what he's up to and I guess we all have an opinion on how he's gone. Its fairly clear that he's made plenty of mistakes chasing Granville and possibly being a little too eager to get loads of differentials.
Open Controls

You could gain 48 points in a good DGW.
Open Controls -
Well, the best thing to do when trying to catch up, it's to mirror the key players of the leaders team, and have 2-4 differentials that you think are your leaders weak spot (form/fixtures/dgw).
Play your captaincy smart, meaning you should try to mirror your leader.
Don't take any stupid risks, play it safe.
The worst thing being a leader is to see a player catch up every week with 4-8 points, and when it goes shit, you still don't lose more then 4-8 points.Open Controls
-
-
What's up with Chester?
Seems to be playing 90 in the cup but will he get his spot back in the starting XI for the league?
Need him for the DGW.Open Controls-
we'll see this weekend, I honestly think the 5 last week and the 90 in the FA Cup is a good sign and he could play the full 180, or at least 90-120
Open Controls-
Ok try to stop being so biased and think with a clear mind.
He's had this injury for a while (chronic) and is likely to re-injure it again.
I watched him all game today (wanting to bring him in) and there's clearly something hindering him. No runs in behind defenders, no movement, no nothing. Just jogging, like he doesn't give a feck.
Even if he is fit, doesn't look like doing much damage the way he's going. Looks like overcautious play to me, rather than the usual energetic Aguero that bangs in goals.
To make it simple, I wouldn't want him in his current form. Looks awful.Open Controls-
How am I trying to be biased? I think you're confusing that with optimism. There's not wanting him on his form and him being injured. Vastly different.
I don't know if you play but there's also difference between having a sore hamstring and a pulled one.
Everyone is assuming he's injured because it's chronic when it's likely he's being cautious. He never once limped or winced and played normally, just was less explosive, likely on purpose. In the end, I know as much as you do and we'll all just wait for the scan.Open Controls-
You're biased because you own him and everything you post is how Aguero "isn't injured".
I do play, and he clearly has something wrong with him. He's not fully recovered yet IMO. Not fully mobile.Open Controls-
A prime example is when Messi tracked back and nudged him off the ball with ease. A fully fit Aguero would have been able to man-oeuvre himself in a way to earn a foul, or at least pass it off.
Open Controls-
again, not fully fit ≠ injured. not fully fit ≠ definite no playing time.
just waiting for the scan and remaining optimistic until then, I don't know why you're attacking me for it.
I prefer my glass half-full and you clearly prefer half-empty, to each their own AcquaOpen Controls
-
-
You know as well as I do what "injured" actually means on this site, it means out and definitely not playing.
As far as we know now, Aguero is sore and cautious. If the scan shows otherwise fantastic, but there's no point getting into a frenzied panic ahead of time, especially if all the actual evidence shows him moving fine just not being his usual explosive self.Open Controls

Unfortunately the little horses would be favourites from this position in my opinion. I can see them doing just enough. I'd back Arsenal to finish strongly as they usually do, and they have a relatively good run in past the next few games. They've also been ruthlessly efficient against the perceived weaker teams this year, which in the last couple of seasons,(contrary to the cliche that you've got to win against the big teams) has been a hallmark of a winning team. The reason being is City are in a dangerous position; simply because they've won the league cup - recently a poison chalice for whoever claims it. It seems the two teams who reach the final every year seem to finish the year very negatively indeed.
Liverpool aren't good enough to win the league, and it will be embarrassing for Chelsea, Arsenal and City if they doOpen Controls -

What's the go with Kun?
Have Snod and Ade and one of them is getting shipped this week or next for Yaya or Aguero.
If I go with Aguero, I have 6.3 to spend...If I go Yaya I can stick with him Ade I feel. So basically I'm asking...
6.3 mid of choice + Aguero OR Yaya + Ade 🙂
What are people's thoughts ? Thanks in advance!
CheersOpen Controls-
I think you should wait. Agüero could be injured for a long time so your choice will become easy.

You know what, I blame FPL for all these poor sods who bought Aguero in too early...
They took his flag off quite prematurely IMO... Ok he was no longer injured, but he had two blanks... when someone won't be playing for 2 weeks, isn't that really the same thing...?
This is what caused the inflated amount of premature Aguero transfers in, and then his price rose, creating mass panic.. as everyone clamoured to get him in denying all their better judgement and everything they have ever learned about making transfers early with little information, especially when he had two games to play before he played again in the league...Open Controls -
For DGW till end of the season
A) Coleman + Sterling + Lallana
B) Chester + Gerrard + AJ
Adrian
Baines - Ivanovic - XXX
Haz - Yaya - XXX - XXX
Suarez - Sturridge - LukakaOpen Controls-
Well I'm going with something similar, so I'd say B. Hopefully my team ends up like this,
Adrian
Rosenior Zabaleta Distin
Hazard Yaya Gerrard Nolan
Suarez Lukaku SturridgeOpen Controls -
B
Open Controls -

How about I keep Snodgrass.
Can get a defender up to 6.0 to play over Chester.
Suggestions?Open Controls -
I think Chester could do very well.
Open Controls

B as you already have Baines
Open Controls -
B definitely if you already have Baines. Think most of the attacking is going down the left anyhow for Everton and their fixtures don't necessarily suggest easy clean sheets so that could see Coleman in for a lot of 2's as his scoring has diminished.
Open Controls -
Probably B for me Acqua. If Coleman becomes goalman again than A but I think he's regressed to normality

A. Mata - Yaya - Hazard - Gerrard
B. Mata - Yaya - Nolan - SterlingOpen Controls-

Would look better without Mata.
But A.Open Controls -
A by miles. Where's all the other money going to?!
Open Controls -
A with Nolan instead of Mata IMO

I think it's madness to waste a transfer taking a dgw player out.
Open Controls

A. But only if Mata has a class game v Pool. If not I'm getting rid. Poor VFM.
Open Controls-
I'll have to go -8 if i take Mata out....
hope he does play well against Pool.Open Controls

Right then, this worth a (-4) ?
Mannone, Adrian
Ivanovic, Kos, Ward, Baker, Chester
Haz, Mata, Lallana, Snoddy, Noone
Suarez, Sturridge, Adebayor.
5.1 banked, 2 frees.
Kos + Mata + Ade ➡ Baines + AJ + Lukaku (-4)
Thoughts? (Spreading the hits over 2 weeks- AJ has decent fixture this week)Open Controls-
-
Hmm. What you suggest then?
Can do Baines + Lukaku in for free, but trying to maximize DGWers without massive hit next week.Open Controls-
If u intend to maximize the DGW'ers, do not get rid off the one's you already have. I would hang onto Mata and Kos
Open Controls-
Even if I don;t expect feck all from them?
Rather Gerrard + Yaya in my team.
and rather Baines over Kos.
My rpedictions:
Mata
(LIV) - 2pts
(whu) - 5pts
(MCI) - 2pts
Kos

hmm,, I think I'd hit the button... I like all those 3 players you're bringing him, all with DGW and nice home fixture this week as well
Open Controls

even with the bad fixtures, if Kun is confirmed out for more than just this weekend then I may consider shipping him back out for another hit..but at the same time Palace could keep a CS at the Stadium of Light so I could just start Ward in Kun's stead..
still not totally sold on Lukaku (probably would be good to watch a full game of his since his return) but am considering the reinvigorated Rooney in the not so invigorated United setup even despite some tough fixtures..Open Controls -

So I said earlier I think I'll play Ince and bench Mata this week because with Chamakh out Ince should start behind Murray imo. Got mainly the usual "You're crazy" You must sell mata immediately if you're gonna bench him" except GTS who seemed to agree with me. I reckon Mata should be on for 2 to 5 points this gw whereas if I'm right about Incey in the hole he could do much better. What say you all?
Open Controls-
I agree too.
Forgetting the price for a second, Ince is more likely to score or assist this weekend.
Plus, Mata is playing for the worse team. 😉Open Controls-
i bet u Mata will have take more points than Ince
i have bothOpen Controls -
Haha yes he is 😉
Cheers mate, think I'll go with it.Open Controls-
I honestly expect absolute trash from Mata the next 3.
Probably shipping him for a hit (AJ) this week (to spread out hits)Open Controls

I missed the game last night, I've been thinking of going for Nasri over Yaya, how did he play last night? I guess getting Yaya is a no brainer if Aguero is confirmed out?

Rooney or Lukaku for the next few weeks?

I hope if Aguero is declared out, he's declared out for a while so I don't have to bumble about with my decision..

Oh Aguero..... 🙁Open Controls-
Hasn't looked fit in the three post-injury games before Barca. Even if they say his injury ain't too bad after his scan it'd be better to get someone else cos he doesn't look like a man who'll be banging in goals this side of GW32.
Open Controls-
sadly i agree 🙁 .. Wasted my WC. Atleast there is more cash than i know what to do with now

How does this GW 31 team look?
Would be for a -8
Boruc
Baines - Coleman - Chester
Hazard - Nolan - Gerrard - Yaya
Suarez - Studge - Lukaku
Ward - Cahill - PozOpen Controls-
I imagine 7 or 8 will be owned by most players with another dozen or so players then filling the last places for 90% + of those still playing seriously, with the odd punt here or there to make us feel as if we didn't go for the template.
That said, it's a very decent looking team.Open Controls
