Granville calls it a logic-defying season and this 300k ranked Fantasy manager isnโ€™t going to argue with him. Thereโ€™s plenty to tussle about in this weekโ€™s ScoutCast, however, as we lock virtual horns over Rooney vs van Persie, Baines vs Coleman and Aguero vs his hamstring.

In and around the regulars, itโ€™s the incoming double Gameweeks that occupy our thoughts once more, with the community questions quizzing us on Unitedโ€™s Gameweek 31 potential, the Chelsea dilemma and the best player weโ€™ve witnessed in the flesh. Granville puts forward a true talent: a three time FIFA World Player of the Year, no less. I nominated a floppy haired Geordie with a top 40 single. Truly logic-defying.

Share in Granvilleโ€™s Zizou moment via this link or stare into my Diamond Lights via the player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Is it really worth waiting to hear about Agüero? Take the -4 on the chin, and move on. Dude is so injury-prone, feel like it's just a matter of time.

And though I'd like to reinvest in Silva, he out-hammies Agüero on his most injurious day. Yaya it is. White flag time, 30 weeks in.

Even if Aguero were declared fit to play Hull I wouldn't have him right now. He just seems to come back and get injured straight away, not worth the hassle for his price tag. When he's fit for a full month and performing, I'd get him in.

I am so bad at this game. Plot the coordinates of Agüero doing well/doing poorly, check the inverse and that's my ownership. I agree, he's in maybe for a late GW, or DGW. I'm ditching. Lukaku perhaps, or Rooney...wait, is this a list of other strikers that have burned me?

Can I just ask why no to Mata? I can dig, but wondering how long the game plan extends (end of season or end of DGW). I have him but am at a crossroads.

I see a lot of people getting rid of Mata and it makes no sense to me personally. In my case especially, I only got him in GW29, specifically with the DGW in mind.

I think Man Utd have turned a bit of a corner now (although that's been said a lot this season), and I see them doing well against Pool and in the DGW. Scoredraws to liverpool and city is what I expect.

Any thoughts on my wild card team? I originally went in for Aguero, but suspect he isn't going to play enough over the next few weeks to make it worthwhile.

    Adrian/Mannone
    Coleman/Zabaleta/Azpilicueta/Collins/Chester
    Hazard/Yaya/Gerrard/Nolan/Januzaj
    Suarez/Sturridge/Lukaku

My biggest concern is too much Liverpool, but that could be remedied by Gerrard to Silva after GW 31.

Looks excellent to me, I just worry that Hazard will be sat on your bench in the DGW with a double figure haul, but then you wouldn't be alone.

Maybe go for Ki instead of Januzaj to save cash, and play Hazard? Ki has more DGWs due so he'd be a future investment.

I'm actually thinking Januzaj to Huddlestone, given that I plan to start Hazard with 10 DGW players, since Huddlestone plays every week and it allows me to add Johnson and Bardsley prior to their additional Double Game Weeks.

    Spurs & TS:
Christian Eriksen scored a magnificent free kick.
That a player like Eriksen who has such brilliant technique was moved to the wing so that Kane can have his opportunity in the centre made little sense. Eriksen is the player Sherwood should be building his team around, but when Spurs trailed other teams like to Norwich in February Eriksen didn't even get a minute. Btw, TS said, after decision to use 20 yr old Kane in a support role behind Adebayor. "He's been patient," which was only his 2nd appearance this season. Needless to say, around 60th min, Kane was caught w/ the ball near spurs area, & Lloris had to do a save. Soon after luizao goal from corner.

sad, given the potential this team had. yes there is margin of errror tat could come around w/ all the signings. But Spurs should stick w/ building around the core of Eriksen, paulinho, & Verts and then sort out lamela, soldado, etc etc

this was my likely GW30 team before my transfers:

    Boruc
    Ward - Ivan - Azpi
    Haz - Mata - Yaya - Lallana
    Suarez - Ade - Sturridge

    Davis; Noone, MOlsson, Chester

    I did MOlsson + Mata + Ade -> Baines + Sterling + Aguero for -4

now I'm considering (if Aguero is confirmed out past the DGW) either Aguero -> Lukaku for -4 more or Aguero + Sterling -> Lukaku + Gerrard for -8 more.. (kinda silly I know)

do you think that this team, vs the one above, could make up for a -12?

    Boruc
    Baines - Ivan - Azpi
    Haz - Yaya - Gerrard - Lallana

I'm of a mind to not even stress the -4. Gonna take Luk or other, grab Yaya, and make hay. So little time left, have held in to 6 mill waiting for Aguero for weeks and he's just not that reliable. Dude can't string a couple games together. Of course he can, and has, but it's squeaky bum time. Can't keep f'ing with him and Silva. It's like living in Diabyville (I'm an Arsenal fan). Or Kallstromville to those who have never seen Diaby play. It's been a while.

                    agreed, squeaky bum time indeed.

                    it's not a -12 for fun, it's a potential -8 total to fix the original -4 and possibly a -12 if I'm feeling adventurous

Having owned Luk several times, he will not justify a -12 alone. However, in an early transfer misfire, one must do what one must do. Except lie to oneself about Belgian strike capabilities.

ok here's everything taking it one step further

    1) Matchup with a -12:

    A) Baines + Gerrard + Lukaku (c)
    B) MOlsson + Mata + Ade + 12 points (and a likely Haz cap)

    2) Matchup if I just stick with my -4 and sit Kun (if he is indeed injured) and a Haz cap in both options

    A) Baines + Sterling + Ward/Noone
    B) MOlsson + Mata + Ade + 4 points

I think the -12, as ugly as it is, is justified..coupled with Roger's point that it could win anyways AND I'd be set up with two more quality DGW players than I already have (even if Sterling is technically a DGW player)

Also possibly considering just the extra -4 to do Aguero > Lukaku, but in the end since it frees up the money for Gerrard I may as well do it now as I'd clearly prefer him to Sterling.

Ok. This is what I will do if I'm in your situation. Wait for City press conference later.

If Aguero is out for the DGW then get him out for Lukaku this week. No point keeping a striker slot empty since you will be getting Romelu next week anyway.

If he is expected to return on GW31 then forget about the Lukaku transfer.

Pellegrini will be very careful with Aguero now after this injury scare. Doubt he will start in the Hull City game even he's declared as fit.

I don't think it will be that easy because even if Pelle says he'll return next week he'll likely barely play in that gameweek as is and so is a wasted 12m sitting on my bench or getting 20-40 minutes over two matches..

I think that I'm shipping him if he's not playing this weekend (which is very possible/likely) and just trying to decide whether to take the extra -4 to do Sterling > Gerrard

Away against United is always going to be a hard game and I can't see any reason to justify an extra -4 for Gerrard. Stevie is a good option for the DGW but not his week. Stick to Sterling in my opinion.

my planned transfers for next week are Azpi + Boruc > Zaba + Mannone, just not sure I want to take a -8 next week

and our defense isn't that great, I could see us getting run over..

Don't like the Mannone transfer. Two away games in a week do not sound convincing. I have gone for Boruc in my team all the way till end of season.

Sterling to Gerrard for a hit? Hmm hard call. I would say yes, not this week but next week.

Mannone makes enough saves to almost get CS points in a single game and has 3 more than anyone else. also Soton and Sunderland fixtures are comparable

Won't be taking a single hit for the DGW can't see why it would be worth it tbh
Just doing Ade to lukaku this week , then next week maybe snod to a DGW player
