Yikes. That is a tough lump of charcoal. The little boy might be wise to bench either Snoddy or Lukaku. Mutch perhaps as well. All others should play for sure. Maybe put those 3 names in a hat and choose?

Cheers. Like you said it's among those 3. For me Snodgrass has to play just because he's a better attacking player than Mutch & considering they both have equal level of fixture difficulty. Seems very wrong to bench Lukaku over Mutch even if he has Arsenal. Mutch is one of the most inform player around atm. 😐

I have resolved that the only thing I can do with my 2FT's is downgrade Olsson (4.2m). I already have Ward so who are the best cheap defenders going around for less than 4.2m (will likely sit on my bench most of the time).
Chambers, Chester, Naughton?
Naughton might be dropped for Vertonghen soon when he's back from injury.
Chambers is a sure starter if Clyne remains injured but might get rotated when he returns.
Chester is a viable option however, and for 3.8 with a DGW37 in hand he could be gold, especially as he will free up some extra cash. I think he is the best bet of the three.
Nice analysis.Probably the right option if he's likely to be on your bench most of the time anyways.

Yeah I remember having Vlaar in my team for their good spell in the middle of the season. They haven't been the same since. Good fixtures though, could be a good bet. I can't risk getting Baker though if he's not certain to start.
Ryan, I have exactly the same issue and the two I'm contemplating are Chester or Baker...
Villa fans seem to think Baker has done well enough to be first choice and clearly he has the better fixtures!

do u think silva will significanty outscore a man city defender until the end of the season?
i mean city look very possible to keep clean sheets in all of the 4 home matches plus palace away (5X6=30pts min barring baps + 3x2=6 pts for a total of 36pts+at least 6bps from the clean sheet matches=42, and assuming they concede in the other 3 matches vs southampton at home, liveroopl and everton away)
silva will get 5x3=15 plus 3X2=6 for a total of 21 pts so until 42 he has to score 21pts in the next 8 matches that is roughly at least an assist in each match or a goal in every other match. do u thnk this is possible?
also is the price tag (at least 3million more than any defender) justified in getting silva instead of a man city defender (kompany, de michelis, zabaleta) ?

Your numbers equates to 7 PPG for those 5 games for the City defenders, which is significantly higher than what they are at this far. If you think those numbers are reasonable then I certainly think you should go for a defender instead of Silva.
8 matches for 42 pts is about 5ish pts per match not 7
