After Sunderland’s win over Cardiff took the Black Cats out of the drop zone, our attentions turn to the summit as the top three sides prepare for action. In what could prove a decisive day in the race for the title, Liverpool welcome Chelsea to Anfield before City make their way to Selhurst Park to face a Palace side looking for a sixth straight win under Tony Pulis:

Our first stop is at Anfield, then, where the likes of Luis Suarez, Steven Gerrard and Raheem Sterling will be looking to grab the goals that would bring the Reds one step closer to clinching the title and end Chelsea’s bid for the crown.

Daniel Sturridge is on the bench for the hosts after recovering from a hamstring problem, whilst Jose Mourinho rings the changes for the visitors and makes seven alterations ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League semi-final second leg clash with Atletico Madrid.

Full details of the day’s starting lineups can be found via our Twitter feed, while the Dugout Discussion chatroom remains opens for those looking to indulge in some real-time banter.

Baines,Dzeko,Sturridge and Lallana to Wickham,Aguero,Toure and 4.5 defender.

This is for -12, daft idea or worth a go??

Bardsley didn't play today - it was supposed to be his first game back after suspension but as he didn't make it in the team I think we have to assume that is his lot for the year?

I have had him (and AJ) in team ready for next week since my GW33 WC.

I think that WC destroyed my season...!!!

there is a big difference being profitable and spend it right, to have no good base of fans/income/global appeal and just use money outside of football.
nothing stops arsenal from buying cazorla ozil and a great striker (next season) becuase they are a succesful club that manages itself well.

Net amount spent in transfer market averaged out over last 5 seasons:-

                1 Manchester City £95,990,000
                2 Chelsea £56,451,800
                3 Manchester United £27,750,000
                4 Stoke City £18,235,000
                5 Liverpool £17,880,000

Now you can stop parrotting the poorly thought out opinions you have heard in the pub.

I'm not saying that at all. My answer is to the original post; moaning about a team buying the league, while their team frivolously spend multi-millions to get the league themselves. My point stands and you know it. Your "Now you can stop parrotting the poorly thought out opinions you have heard in the pub" just sounded pathetic and angry to be honest. I never heard it in a pub, but vent how you wish. I've made my point.

                      Your point doesn't stand.

You can't say spending 80million is the same as spending 500million. Well I suppose your argument would be "Well I just did say it", but it is clearly nonsense.

I am not angry or venting, I am just bored hearing people like you knock Liverpool, and I am not even a LFC fan.

I'm not saying spending 500 million is like spending 50 million, am I. Stop putting words in my mouth. Liverpool haven't just spent 50 million have they though? That is for ONE player. At the end of the day, they've spent multi-millions on players alone themselves, that amount to over 100m. Muolti-millions spent trying to buy the league. If you can't see the hypocrisy, then I quite frankly can't be bothered with you.

If you can't understand how accounts work, then there is not much point even having the conversation, is there? They spend, and they sell.

                        MCI just spend.
