After Sunderland’s win over Cardiff took the Black Cats out of the drop zone, our attentions turn to the summit as the top three sides prepare for action. In what could prove a decisive day in the race for the title, Liverpool welcome Chelsea to Anfield before City make their way to Selhurst Park to face a Palace side looking for a sixth straight win under Tony Pulis:

Our first stop is at Anfield, then, where the likes of Luis Suarez, Steven Gerrard and Raheem Sterling will be looking to grab the goals that would bring the Reds one step closer to clinching the title and end Chelsea’s bid for the crown.

Daniel Sturridge is on the bench for the hosts after recovering from a hamstring problem, whilst Jose Mourinho rings the changes for the visitors and makes seven alterations ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League semi-final second leg clash with Atletico Madrid.

Full details of the day’s starting lineups can be found via our Twitter feed, while the Dugout Discussion chatroom remains opens for those looking to indulge in some real-time banter.

    Took an 8pt hit to get 14 (Yaya )+13(Rooney) +7(Alonso) - 2pts(Suarez) = net gain of 24pts not counting Rooney (C)

The prevailing opinion on here seems to be that City are now a shoo-in for the title.

I think the pubs will be full next Saturday for Everton vs City, as that now seems to be the game that is now likely going to be the one that decides the season.

Not too worried as the only widely owned player to get a big score was Yaya.

Most people would have had Suarez and Aguero and lots of their owners would have captained one of them.

      Gerrard flopped
      Sterling flopped

I'm guessing my score of 55 with 3 players still to play will be a high score this week.

Ugh could have done without the defender hit in the end. I guess the rule is there for a reason

Best sub 5.8 defender to be able to shoehorn in both Mata and Yaya?? Has to be Jones, hasn't it? Or maybe Alonso?

dzeko's late bump up from 9bps to 11bps was courtesy of reaching 3 successful tackles and reaching 30 passes @70-80% accuracy

Yaya: does it all. pace, power, composure, dribble of the ball. yet, to so many he's just a "casual". denial for those.

I think many people are just angry they didn't get him early and refused to accept he was the real deal.

Forgetting FF returns (which have also been great), I agree with you in that he has been phenomenal this season, easily the best midfielder in the EPL at the moment.

I know there's a better joke in here than the "Santa Claus" choice, and I just remembered that my 31 year old wife recently defended the idea that "cat school" was a real thing... she was convinced that her childhood cat was sent away to "cat school."

Oh honey... no... no it wasn't.
