With many a mini-league on the line, we’ve plenty to analyse as always. We assess the progress of the Scout league leaders in a variety of Fantasy games, with Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Ultimate Fantasy Premier League, Sky Sports, Sun Dream Team and Champions League games all included in this afternoon’s round-up:
Fantasy Premier League
It’s all change at the top of the Scout league as Tom Fenley moves to the summit after a 69-point haul in Gameweek 36. Tom also moved to number one in the world after deciding to take an eight-point hit, with his acquisition of Wayne Rooney and Laurent Koscielny proving particularly key – the pair more than paid back the points deduction, with 39 points between them. Vito Mannone, Branislav Ivanovic and Juan Mata also delivered as Tom moved onto 2,519 points overall.
Our recent podcast guest Luke Weston slips to second after picking up 54 points. Like Tom, he also captained Rooney, whilst Mata and Mannone also served up the points. Luke sits in second spot overall on 2,505 points.
Eoin Maye is on the rise this week, moving from fifth up to third in the Scout league. Eoin is now fourth in the overall rankings, thanks to captain Rooney, Mata and Mannone, whilst Cesar Azpilicueta, Luke Shaw and Samir Nasri produced 20 points between them.
Barry Curran is a non-mover in fourth spot –despite choosing to captain Aaron Ramsey. The Welshman’s team-mate Mesut Ozil, Rooney, Mata, Mannone and City’s Martin Demichelis helped Barry rack up 63 points in Gameweek 36 – he now sits in sixth spot on 2,472 points.
Rasmus Sandman completes our top five. Previously placed at third in the Scout league, he dropped down the pecking order in spite of a 61-point return – captain Rooney, Mata, Mannone and Azpilicueta were his main men as he slipped slightly to seventh overall.
Thanks to the performances of our top five, Fantasy Football Scout remain top of the League of Leagues. To join up, the league code is 1580-1106.
In the Fantasy Football Scout Members league, world number one Tom Fenley leads the way. Jono McPhillips is in second spot on 2,455 points, whilst Luke van Lelyveld is back in third on 2,488 points.
Ultimate Fantasy Premier League
Bogdan Radu remains in top spot in the Scout league for the Beta phase of the Ultimate game. With 919 points, he is now in second position overall, whilst Jason Pont is in second spot on 904 points – enough to earn his seventh overall. Richard Dear takes third, with 902 points leaving him seventh in the overall standings so far.
Sky Sports Fantasy Football
Dammy Olubokun’s pair of teams remain joint-first in the Scout league, with 2,476 points apiece. Dammy’s two sides sit joint-second overall, though are now 34 points off the summit after being just four points adrift last week. In third spot in the Scout League is Neil Fleeson, whose side have delivered 2,446 points, earning him seventh spot in the overall standings. The winner of our Sky league, which is also top in the league of leagues, wins £1,000.
Sun Dream Team
Geoff Pryor remains the runaway leader of the Scout league with a total of 2,001 points. His tactic of loading up on three of the Blues’ backline and Liverpool’s front two has paid off so far and helped him into fifth in the overall standings, just 42 points off the top. Charles Mouzon sits in second, third and fourth spot, though his highest scoring XI is 140 points behind Geoff. The winner of our Sun league also picks up £1,000.
Champions League
Ahead of Chelsea’s second-leg semi-final home encounter with La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid later this evening, Pavel123 is top of the Scout league on 805 points – earning him third spot overall. Diegocho33 takes second place with 790 points, whilst zadid56 is five points further back in third.
Fantasy Football Scout Cup
Our Members Cup IV has now reached the stage this weekend, whilst the Fantasy Football Scout Cup IX is down to the final four managers. We’ll be sorting the draw for the latter cup later today and will publish an article on both cups tomorrow.
