Why won't it? Clearly not enough evidence to suggest it will be removed when the Defender is heading it in the opposing direction whereas Dzeko is trying to force it back towards goal

Well watching yaya trudging off was symbolic of my fantasy football season. Underwhelming. Ironically I used this site more than ever this season as well! Too cautious all in all in my captain picks and also impulsive in swooping and changing (taking hazard out early on and rotating through the chelsea miss before going back to him six weeks later was the start of things to come)

Hmmmm, I made mistakes of a similar ilk. I kept faith with Oscar over Hazard for waaaaaay too long, although did profit from him in the end (captaining him for his hat-trick v Newcastle was a particularly sweet moment).
Overall, a season of "Roads Not Taken". Today was a prime example - ditched Ramsey for Sterling thinking Liverpool would put on a show, but they didn't and Ramsey scored.
Overall my biggest mistakes were picking RVP in GW1 and sticking with him for the first 15 weeks or so (major error), and too much timidity in captain selection, particularly when I'd got some momentum and kept captaining Suarez even though he wasn't doing the business.Open Controls

FINAL CLARIFICATION ON THE DZEKO ASSIST
'If an opposing player touches the ball after the final pass before a goal is scored, significantly altering the intended destination of the ball, then no assist is awarded.'
Watch the goal closely again. After the Dzeko touch, the ball is going out of the box and Carroll's touch makes it come back towards Kompany who then scores. That is a 'significant alteration' and hence NO DZEKO ASSIST

I remember the Gerrard assist they didn't award when Suarez scored v Norwich.
He headed the ball in the general direction of Suarez, took a nick of a defender, Suarez took hold of it and scored. No assist given for that felt a bit harsh.Open Controls-

i owned suarez for 5 gameweeks, ramsey for 2 and yaya for 4, hazard for 4 and coleman for none... will finish hopefully around and maybe above 100k but i really need to not be so stubborn next season and pick the more popular players..Anyone else there like me who suffered a similar fate?

lol, been a long time. How did your season go?

horrible. when i was more active, got up from 1.5mil in GW10 to 110k in GW22. That was when we had our good chats I believe. then i got a new job and things went to the crapper, red arrows galore.
then just lost the plot and tried a few punts too many, wasting transfers on aguero lukaku and rooney etc.

Basically the reverse of my season has happened to you. I started off shockingly with team value not crossing 100 after 10 gameweeks which led to me trailing by 17 in ML.

Thanks - I was just going through it more closely and I see there were other slow starters (Giggs for example :)) who just righted the ship much more quickly than I did. Maybe my problem is more clueless panicky transfers after a slow start...:)

I was 1,050,000 after 5 weeks and I did get a bit panicky myself to be honest...but then I scored well and I was up to about 20k after 11 weeks...just got to keep plugging away putting good players with good fixtures in your team and waiting patiently for your luck to turn...it's a long season

Next season is going to be mental. Arsenal with a better striker and CDM, City maybe with one or two new signings, Chelsea with a new striker, Liverpool with a few signings, United with a new manager, a few signings and no Europe to worry about, Spurs with a new manager and some pretty talented players, Everton with a few signings too.

That can't be Dzeko assist. Even if he touched it, one of the West ham player touched it later & it significantly altered the direction.
