With so many of you seeking advice on their teams before August 16, we thought it would prudent to run a daily community article to provide a dedicated focus for “Rate My Team” (RMT) requests.

Each day ahead of the new season, we’ll select one of the  Fantasy Football Scout team and post up their own RMT request to open up discussion and encourage others to post their own. We’ll turn the comments over to you to provide a useful place for those seeking advice and highlight some of the key decisions under deliberation.

Please encourage those posting RMTs in other articles to visit this daily RMT article. Also, when posting requests, please remember to be courteous to those who take the time to help out. Equally, if you’re an experienced Fantasy manager with some views on initial lineups, take time out to dip in and contribute – the Fantasy Football Scout team will be doing their upmost to offer their feedback as the discussion develops throughout the day.

First up, I’ve decided to post my current lineup. I’ve opted for a squad that has a spread of money across the positions, with two rotating goalkeepers and a strong focus on the four to five teams I think are most likely to profit from goals and clean sheets. It also shows a strong bias towards those teams with favourable early fixtures and, hopefully, it’s set up to be flexible enough to make quick early repairs.

Guzan (Krul)

Terry Evans NTaylor (Wisdom, Duff)

Ramsey Hazard Mata Henderson (Albrighton)

Rooney Adebayor Dzeko

0.5m in the bank

My main deliberation surrounds whether to go with Diego Costa up front and and an 8.5 midfielder, probably Rahaeem Sterling, instead of my current selection of Emmanuel Adebayor and Eden Hazard. That gives me a Gameweek 2 option to possibly swap one of Jordan Henderson or Sterling for Gylfi Sigurdsson, although I’m happy to keep both those Liverpool midfielders if a transfer is urgently required elsewhere. I do feel that Hazard will be the top source of Chelsea points, however.

Alternatively, I could stick with Hazard and a 9.0 striker. Of this group, the main options seem to be Romelu Lukaku and Adebayor. This also gives me flexibility to hop on any emerging strikers who show promise for 8.5 or less. As you can see, I’m currently favouring this option.

Feel free to get stuck in with your feedback. We look forward to scanning your RMT’s throughout the day on this article.

Is Clyne nailed on? Also I am a bit wary of Southampton personally after selling so many key players. Other than that very nice team

You're showing a lot of faith in Newcastle's ability to keep the ball out. Also that defence rotates terribly. All your defenders are away in week 3, then home in week 4 and I haven't checked further than that so the pattern may continue. I'd turn Ward or Clyne into a Naylor or Ferdinand maybe and upgrade Elliot to a 4.5 keeper. Foster rotates well.

Like the attack. Very similar to mine

    Burried on last page

    RMT please?

    Begovic ( Myhill)

    Luis / Jones / O'shea ( Bruce / Wisdom)

    Mata / Ramsey / Fabregas / Siggy ( Albrighton)

    Rooney / Costa / Dzeko

Perhaps too much stacking of man u / chelsea players? was thinking switch mata / fabregas for Eriksen then upgrade a defender or ramsey

Personally prefer Evans over Jones, reckon he is more nailed on. Don't fancy both Bruce and Wisdom either, would try to fond 0.5 from somewhere to upgrade one of them

I would be confident yes. He's the only naturally left footed player in the senior defensive ranks I believe and he was bought for a hefty fee so I see no reason why Jose would not start with him.

Plan is to go Fab -> Siggie on GW 2/3 and buy better third striker at GW3. Until then will keep a close eye on all the strikers in my mind atm. And then go from there.

    What you guys think?

That sounds a decent plan but if you're going to already be planning transfers you better hope you won't be forced into unplanned changes. To that end, I don't think Cameron is nailed on. He might start ahead of Bardsley but if he doesn't there's an extra transfer you have to make early

Seems obvious .... he is left footed and an ideal replacement for Ashley Cole now with Roma and allows Mourhino to play Az on the right and Ivanovic either right or centre....it was a Mourhino interview in one of the tabloids I think....Star or Daily Mail....if I can find it I will reply here

Double up on NEW def seems risky imo, I really think they will struggle. Azpi "should" play, but at the cost of 6 it´s just too risky imo. CHE def could be a rotation nightmare this year, and there are some very good options at 5-5,5 instead.

          Azpi - Caulker
          Van Anholt - Davies (spurs)
          Collocini - Davies (Hull).
I have those + Wisdom and Debuchy right now, will probably start with them.

I guess Davies (spurs) is the only concern (Rose), but imo he will play and could deliver some assists.
Caulker and Davis (Hull) are both great goalthreats, are nailed on and could surpirse with a pretty tight defence. (This is my reasons for picking them).

Ramsey being CM didnt stop him last year.
I think Ozil could be as good as Ramsey, and also Walcott when he returns. Ozil really need wingers going forward to be great, Sanchez and Walcott are just made for Ozil to show his true potential.

Giroud Im not so sure about, he will score his 15-20 goals but I like him more as a player than a FPL option.

Here is the full team from previous post....still looking for 0.5

OK...thanks lads, but that leaves me with 0.5 to find to upgrade to Foster or find another rotation candidate for my other keeper who is Krul. Here is the current draft team for GW 1-4 so where can I find 0.5

              Myhill (Krul)

Albrighton Mata (v) Hazard Sanchez (El Ahmadi)

              Rooney (c) DC Pele

I always play 3-43 and yes, I know I could swap Hazard to Fab, but then I would have to change my team name back Again from Falcon's Hazard to Falcon's Fab 15.Was Falcon's Magic Lamp last season.....but that is not going to work unless Lamps starts regularly for MC???

(you can tell I am a Chelsea Fan being a bit bothered by Manu having the best fixtures for GW 1-4 followed by Hull (hence Bruce) and only then Chelsea.

perfect forward line. i would perhaps think about changing silva to ramsey for two reasons....city's fixtures are horrendous as they play 3 of the top 4 in the first 5 and it have no arsenal coverage in attack. other than that i would rate your team 8.5/10.

Avoid Hazard, he has barely got back to training, so will not be ready to start the league. Mourinho said is himself that his world cup players will be unlikely to start the season (see Scout Tweets further back)

It's what Mourinho was saying a couple of days ago that worries me about starting the session with Hazard. Costs is a risk early too as he is an unknown quantity in Premier League terms but the early fixtures look favourable.

Plan is to go Fab -> Siggie on GW 2/3 and buy better third striker at GW3. Until then will keep a close eye on all the strikers in my mind atm. And then go from there.

Sorry about reposting, got buried on last page:

    Any comments for Gameweek 1?

    Begovic

Debuchy, Davies (Spurs), Vermaelen (if bought by Man Utd)

    Eriksen, Mata, Hazard (V), Sigurdsson

    Rooney (C), Dzeko, Lukaku

Bench: Krul, Davies (Hull), Albrighton, Cameron.

Who should I replace Vermaelen with in case he stays at Arsenal?

Begovic and Krul is too much to be spending on keepers. If you're going Begovic jsut get a 4.0. If you want a rotating pair, Krul and Foster.

That gives to 0.5 to turn Vermaelen into Evans/Jones. Also neither Bavies or Cameron are sure fire starters.

I like the midfield/attack. Looks nicely balanced.

Rose signed a new deal so people are now thinking he might start

I don't think they'd spend money on a new lb if they thought Rose was good enough to be first choice, especially when Vert can play there

Too much in midfield. Pick one of Eriksen and Sterling and turn him into a 6/6.5 (Siggy or Arnie would be my choice but there are several options). Then you can upgrade a bench full of players who very probably won't play

I agree it is a bit much in midfield but haven't seen many teams with it setup like mine. Was going for a bit of differential. Siggy and Arnie are decent options for sure and would give me more cover with the extra funds.

If I were to keep my team, any tips on better

        1. 4m goalkeepers
        2. 4m defenders
        3. 4.5m forwards

No 4m goalie will play unless they guy ahead of him is injured. Choose a 4m goalie with low ownership so you don't lose value if people sell him

Wisdom and Moore seem the most likely 4m defenders, but they're still gambles (Wisdom maybe less so)

Of the 4.5 forwards Zamora is the only one with a chance of possibly playing but I would count on anything. Especially if Remy stays

I like Baines as he will get as many goals and assists as most midfleiders + will get clean sheets. Chelsea are guaranteed clean sheets so would be reluctant to lose Luis. Is there any point though upgrading Bent to anyone else 8.0 or below though?

Defence is a little pricey in my opinion. Not sold on Baines being worth the extra money but may get plenty of bonus points this year.

Not sure about rotating Siggy and Hendo, feel like you won't know who to pick each week. Upgrade one and downgrade another to keep it simple.

Wouldn't get Bent either but he is only 5 million.

D is too expensive. I like Baines would drop Luis.

Midfield is a good shout to start the season.

Forwards needs some work Rooney is your only guaranteed starter. I like the Bent punt seeing as Tekkers is out but not a long term solution.

Allright guys so this is my first draft:

    De Gea
    Luis - Lovren - Debuchy
    Mata - Eriksen - Sterling - Henderson
    D. Costa - Rooney - Jovetic

    SUBS:
    Myhill - Albrighton - Bruce - Vlaar

I know what you're all thinking, "what's Jovetic doing there?". I'm thinking of assessing that after the community shield v. Arsenal. I could free up 0.5m by doing De Gea + Myhill for Krul + Guzan, who rotate well, and bring in Dzeko for him prior to GW1.

I'll then be bringing in Gylfi Sigurðsson for Hendo after GW1.

Another thing I need to settle on is who to go for, Eriksen or Lamela. I'm leaning towards Eriksen atm due to his free kick duties.

Another issue I need to address would definitely be Debuchy's and Luis's presence at the back as we don't know yet whether or not Luis will play and Debuchy ofcourse is an injury prone, card collecting pudding of a man. Therefore any thoughts on the back are well appreciated.

    Love or hate?

Eriksen is a safe choice, I'm not sure about Luis as one of Azpil/Ivan will have to make way and Mourinho seems to be a big fan of both. Debuchy is a cheapish way into a good defence, but obviously that's for a reason.

Defence is a bit iffy. Luis might not play, Liverpool's defence was awful last year, Arsenal's fixtures aren't great. Personally I'd make the goalkeeping swap anyway, turn Lovren into Evans/Jones, Luis into Cahill/Terry, Debuchy into a Stoke defender and pocket the 0.5 for later use.

      Otherwise I like it.

Nice team, I have the same frontline. I think Rodwell is a better £5.0 option than JWP, not sure about Bruce's game time with the arrival of a couple of new defenders at Hull recently, might switch to Wisdom.

Made a couple of changes to the team this morning, Neil Taylor + Albrighton -> Wisdom + Rodwell.
Would appreciate some feedback, and happy to rate anyone else's in return!

    GW1 team:
    Foster (Krul)
    Evans Debuchy Hutton (Wisdom Coloccini)
    Sanchez Mata Eriksen Rodwell (Siggurdsson)
    Rooney Costa Jovetic

    NB: - Goalkeepers rotate
    - Coloccini, Wisdom, Hutton rotate, although it will mainly be Coloccini after GW1 due to early good fixtures and nailed on
    - Rodwell and Siggurdsson rotate, Siggurdsson will play most weeks but Man U away is a tough trip so I'll bench him GW1.

    Thoughts?

I plan to have one, but not sure what the first choice back 4 is so I'll wait until I have an idea of that.

      It's a pretty decent team!

All I have to say really. I dislike Rodwell but if you're set on keeping Jovetic, there isn't much alternative. I would swap Debuchy for Clyne & upgradge Hutton or Wisdom.
