With so many of you seeking advice on their teams before August 16, we thought it would prudent to run a daily community article to provide a dedicated focus for “Rate My Team” (RMT) requests.

Each day ahead of the new season, we’ll select one of the Fantasy Football Scout team and post up their own RMT request to open up discussion and encourage others to post their own. We’ll turn the comments over to you to provide a useful place for those seeking advice and highlight some of the key decisions under deliberation.

Please nudge those posting RMTs in other articles to visit this daily RMT article. Also, when posting requests, please remember to be courteous to those who take the time to help out. Equally, if you’re an experienced Fantasy manager with some views on initial line-ups, take time out to dip in and contribute – the Fantasy Football Scout team will be doing their upmost to offer their feedback as the discussion develops throughout the day.

D1sable tells us he wants a Manchester United and a Chelsea defender but he is unsure about Luis Felipe’s game time and doesn’t trust Manchester United defenders to stay fit. Luke Shaw’s fitness is a particular concern.

He hasn’t gone for rotation at the back,  just selected defenders from defensive sides. While in midfield he really wants Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure but he has found he just decimates the team with his price. Toure could be brought in with a wildcard later.  He is also a reluctant owner of Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata, with Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas waiting in the wings. Liverpool’s attack is another area he feels he is lacking and he is concerned that Diego Costa may not be the best route into Chelsea goals and assists.

    Hello guys, I'd really appreciate some feedback on my team which I hope is going to be final :

    Green - Speroni (Rotating H-A games)

    Wisdom - Evans - Caulker - N Taylor - Ward ( Taylor and Evans rotating if both play, same for Taylor-Ward, unsure about Wisdom's play time)

    Sanchez - Mata - Sigurdson - Hazard - Albrighton

    Rooney - D. Costa - Berahino

    Any comments are appreciated.

        I absolutely adore Ramsey but Sanchez is a forward classified as a midfielder - a lot of value there and I don't want to miss out on it . However you're right for the settling in time. Not many 7m strikers out there, who to upgrade to ?

          Hmm not even considered him so didn't know how much he was. Its a toughy. By all mean go with it - I have enough value in my midfield to get him if he explodes early doors. you could keep berahnio and upgrade Siggy?

        Debuchy - not much value in him, 12 YC last season, will not provide many assists IMO and Arsenal's fixture list is not the best.
        Long - not a fan of him
        Zamora - he will be used as a sub only

        Your attack needs strengthening. Maybe downgrade Debuchy and upgrade Long.

    A little light with the Defs and the Keeper situation isn't great. But... it allows me to have a fair whack up front. And I don't need to worry about fannying about the the keepers!

        I guess I could upgrade lukaku and change Dzeko to Bojan. I want to be a bit different to the template tho. All the teams on here look the bloody same

          Looking again, maybe I was a bit harsh. But I still don't like your defence - Guzan, Given, Duff, Moore all need changing IMO

      Very balanced team. Not much to say however I don't think Sunderland offer much defensive prospect, the midfield is great and Dzeko could be a hit , but only if he gets play time.

      Your Man Utd players will in all likelihood get you points, Lukaku, Im not sure and If you want a City striker, Jovetic is in form and most likely to start. His erratic form is a risk but currently..

    After some tweaks:

    Speroni - Green

    Evans - Shawcross* - Vertonghen - Wisdom - Bartley

    Tadic - Mutch - Siggy - Mata - Sanchez

    Roo - Bojan* - Costa

    *Really like their first couple of fixtures and they seem the best pick in that team in those respective positions.

      I am worried about Bojan. I think he'll struggle. A lot have risked it with him, and I get that, but it is too big a risk at the moment

            Defense is to weak nevertheless, you can do Hazard to Cesk and use the money to improve the back line. And/or switch Lukaku to Giroud/Bony

    Going Man Utd beacuse the easy schdule, same with Ade and Lamela.
    2 out of Pieters, Chester, Wisdom and Taylor will have Home games except 4 weeks this season so will rotate them.
    Is Marney thes best choice for a 4.5m midfielder?
    Is Adebayor a starter?

    Will Trade Adebayor to Bony/Giroud/Lukaku when they have easier games or trade Wisdom up to a better WBA defender if i dosen't play.

      Sometimes it's better to put just the differences, and decide that way.

            You need some City cover in midfield. Silva is nailed on, scores good points regularly. Top 3 assister which is his best way to points irrelevant of who is up front but exceptional when Christina Aguilera is on the pitch.

      For me he will play exactly in Lampards position. Matic and/or Ramires will be the holding mid leaving fabregas to mop up with late runs into the box to smash home passes or layoffs from Costa, Oscar, Hazard, Willian and co. Lock him in - He was first on my sheet !

    Only thing I am worried about is not having a Liverpool mid/attack but Sturridge is over priced and to bring sterling in id need to drop eriksen probably. What do you think?

    *Not 100% sure about, as to scoring ability or game time, unless you guys have any alternatives that jump out at you. Also, why is there such a fuss over Bojan? Stoke do have a good early run, but could do a Joker meme about him, "Stoke sign a guy from Barca on the cheap and everyone loses their minds!" Will he score?

      Will obviously adjust to who is named starting week. Man U have such a good early run as does Tottenham, Arsenal on the the other hand, after the first couple of fixtures get very tricky.

        Um…I don't like the Rodwell and Albrighton as your 4th and 5th mids. I think you could drop Krul for a cheaper keeper if you're going the expensive route.

        Bavies has a question mark over his game time…but probably looks good for the start (one has to assume). Zab…shucks…could be good…but maybe wait until you have built up team value a bit. I'd use all that extra cash in the downgrades and such to bulk up your 4th mid player.

        Bojan is playing on the hole and on the wing in a Stoke team that playing a new style with a new coach. His preseason has been decent, especially when you hear about his goals and how hard they were to score. He's also used mainly to rotate with Siggy…for those opting to run a 3-5-2/3-4-3 rotation to start with.

      Chambers not a good option here I don't think. He's only there while Per and gets fit. Also, Arsenal looking to buy for that area if (or when) Verm goes. He didn't get a good report in a preseason game and I fear he's a weak link…Wenger might look to get him out very quickly to develop him outside of the scene.

        Cheers, I think he is good value though - definitely will start GW1, and from then on, who knows? I also think that should he start GW1, a lot of casuals will jump on him for his price, and I could make a bit of profit. Thoughts on rest of team?

          You have to hop he goes up by 0.2 before you gain 0.1 on his value…that's a big ask for a player who plays in defense. He'd need to do something spectacular to be noticed because a few players are going to steal the limelight I reckon.

          The rest looks good. I mean it's easy to speculate about every player but I think I'd be cool with that team if I was to be handed that as my starting squad.

          Ok…the Bego on his own option does bug me but I know it's an option people are considering.

          Maybe just chill and see what develops from now until the start…tweak I reckon, no major surgery needed.

      I think it looks cool but I worry that you'll be heading into squad surgery early on with that keeper combo and defense…Then again, a lot could work out (or go wrong) that would have made you do that without those combos in mind. I'm just working off of the assumption that you have a solid team mostly.

      So Krul as your lone keeper and Wisdom & Moore are my worries…if that were my team.

      Also…watch Utd…they are looking for defenders to buy…not sure how that works out for Jones (perhaps not an issue to start the season).

    Let's give this one a bash shall we:

    GK: Speroni, Green
    DEF: Ward, Simpson, Evans, Cameron, Naylor
    MID: Fab, Ram, Siggy, Mata, Erikson
    FWD: Rooney, Dzeko, Bojan
    *1mil in the bank

    I think I may try Jovetic instead of Dzeko for the first few games…just to see if his preseason form can push on. The Sanchez debate will be partially answered once the Comm Shield is over…

    I intend on rotating Bojan and Siggy to start with…BTW, I don't mind that I have a GK/Def from the same team…it's been something I've tried to do most seasons.

    My concerns are: Green, Cameron, the Sanchez/Ramsey debate and my formation (with all those mids) as I always play 3-4-3 and will now rotate between that and 3-5-2.

    Ok…what do you guys think?

    hi all,
    very much template, I think....

    De Gea/Gilks
    Vertonghen/Luis/Van Aaholt/Coloccini/Moore
    Mata/Sanchez/Fabs/Siggy/Albrighton
    Costa/Rooney/Bojan

    Defence, 2 big hitters, rotate new/sun, moore starting bench fodder.

    Midfield, undecided, pool coverage with sterling, spurs with lamella/eriksen
    Prob downgrade Fabs to do so with Costa in attack.

    Attack-Rooney/Costa no brainer for me, Bojan is an obvious punt, but gives me a good balanced side.
    I have been burnt by Boselli in the past!
