With so many of you seeking advice on their teams before August 16, we thought it would be prudent to run a daily community article to provide a dedicated focus for “Rate My Team” (RMT) requests.

Each day ahead of the new season, we’ll select one of the Fantasy Football Scout team and post up their own RMT request to open up discussion and encourage others to post their own. We’ll turn the comments over to you to provide a useful place for those seeking advice and highlight some of the key decisions under deliberation.

Please nudge those posting RMTs in other articles to visit this daily RMT article. Also, when posting requests, please remember to be courteous to those who take the time to help out. Equally, if you’re an experienced Fantasy manager with some views on initial line-ups, take time out to dip in and contribute – the Fantasy Football Scout team will be doing their upmost to offer their feedback as the discussion develops throughout the day.

The next Fantasy Premier League RMT contender is Alex Bowers, the winner of the Ultimate Fantasy Premier League Beta version 2013/14.

Krul (Foster)
Shaw – Lovren – Cameron (Davies, N Taylor)
De Jong – Lamela – Mata – Sterling (Sigurdsson)
Rooney – Costa – Austin

Alex is not thrilled about having Gylfi Sigurdsson on the bench for the first Gameweek so he is open to alternative suggestions for his fifth midfield slot. He is adopting a wait-and-see aproach regarding Chelsea midfielders, Arsenal and Manchester City. Is he right to wait?

Feel free to get stuck in with your feedback. We look forward to scanning your RMTs throughout the day on this article.

Been away interrailing till now and feel very left behind for fantasy.

What is the general template atm and are there any other bargains apart from cameron?
Any help would be appreciated 🙂

Any advice would be gladly taken onboard! (My only worry is no chelsea defender, but to do that I'd have to downgrade Dzeko to Austin or Hazard to Eriksen which I'm not really keen on but hey ho!)

    Krul Elliot

    Mata Hazard Ramsey Siggy (Marney)

    RMT...reasonable happy

    Foster (Krul)
    Caulker, Chambers, Wisdom (Trippier, Hiadara)
    Ramsey, Fabregas, Mata, Sterling (Hoilett)
    Rooney, Sturridge, Bojan

Bojan & Hoilett to cycle by matchups, best 3 of 5 mediocre defenders to play, again by matchup

Hoping for a 0.2 rise in Chambers before I cash in for 0.1 in the bank

As I won't need Foster again until 25th October, may swap him for a 4.0 next week to allow Chambers to Clyne, or perhaps Sterling to Silva/Gerrard if Sterling flops.

    Thoughts?

RMT please, first time doing something like this, quite nervous and i wanna get a good start! 🙂

    Bego / (Gilks)
    Debuchy / Evans / Ward / (Wisdom) / (Bartley)
    Mata / Ramsey / Stirling / Siggy / (Marney)
    Rooney / Costa / Dzeko

    0.5 ITB.

    Any glaring mistakes?

Not overly keen on my def but had to sacrifice somewhere and i think this seems stable. Originally had Luis in for Debuchy but scared of his status. Also something not sitting right with Siggy. Ive noticed he seems a very popular choice here... Im considering using my 0.5 to swap him out for Adam Johnson... viable?

Any help most appreciated cheers 😉

Sorry folks but you're not going to find a better team than this, although all constructive criticism is welcomed:

    De Gea. (Myhill)

    Luis. Lovren. Gibbs. (Moore, Duff)

    Fabregas. Henderson. Sanchez. Mata. (Isgrove)

    Costa. Rooney. Bojan

Isgrove and Moore have perfect rotation through season all 38 games.

Bojan and Duff have good rotation through season.

    Opinions people?

Moore has started most preseason games and is almost certainly going to start the season, Isgrove has started the last 3 and unless RK buys in the next few days I suspect Lloyd will be starting the season too.

My question marks would go next to Riviere and Hoilett.

One of my friends is a staunch QPR fan and attended their preseason game v PAOK. His advice was to steer clear of Hoilett.

Yea i had my doubts, i have 1 million in the bank for emergency week 2 transfers so that was the thinking behind it. I'm a toon fan and i'm confident in Riviere, the guy has got everything, been watching him all pre season. Strong, athletic, good technically and good in the air so he will be staying.

Cheers for the input on Hoilett though pal, any ideas who you would go instead for 5 or 5.5? Would your pal recommend Mutch?

Debuchy is a yellow card magnet.
      Ferdinand will leak goals.
Poor defensive subs, unlikely to start.
      Hoillet poor.
      Marney (see Debuchy)
      Rivière is a huge risk.

Rest of your team looks awesome though pal.

Cheers for the feedback pal. Much appreciated

Debuchy is also an assist magnet, big toon fan here. Watched his potential all last season, yellow cards through frustration for a team gettnng hammered week in week out and playing poor football. (Not many better routes into Arsenal's backline either)
Agreed on Ferdy probably away from home, but think QPR will be ok at home under Redknapp.
Agree on Hoilett now i've heard everyones opinions.
Riviere looks the real deal having wathced him all pre season. Depends on the type of football we play so he could be a risk.

        Cheers pal!

Hearing Rio isn't nailed for starts every week, I've paid the extra 0.5 for Caulkner. Nice Snoddy pick, the 6.0 slot is an interesting one--Siggy, Puncheon, and Hendo all provide good options as well.

Monitor Albrighton fitness, could be in for a quick price drop if he doesn't start GW1!

Thanks for the feedback. You make a valid point regarding Albrighton. Leicester have EVE, che, ARS, sto, MUN first five, maybe he will be sold a lot due to injury and these fix'.

I also consider Snoddy -> Mutch and Rio -> Ward/Caulker.

Fletcher is an interesting pick, I remember that great season 2 years ago. Every time he touched the ball for the first half of the season it was a goal. If he could get back to the below level of fitness and finishing, you're laughing at £5.5m:

Considering the Southampton's opening schedule, it seems to be reasonable to take a punt. Pelle would be more preferable option, but has no budget to fit him.

Well they've just signed that Manquillo chap, so they now have Johnson who can play both sides, as can Flanaghan. With them being in the champs league there will be rotations, so i'd say stay away from pool full backs till we they settle.

Look at Erik Pieters for Stoke, they have a great opening set of games pal.

Lovren is a class player don't get me wrong but i wouldn't look at pool players till gameweek 6.

Think a bit more forward , well Ramirez anyway

Can see him bring a good pick , if he's fit

I thought they may be competition for davis. If not davis could be solid.

Snodgrass. Managed to score attacking points in Norwich. Imagine what he'll do with strikers to pass to.

Overlooked him actually thanks. Think I'm just going to go with a cheaper mid and play 4-4-2 look below.

I don't like either but would go for Mata for more assured starts.

Thinking of swapping filipe luis for another defender if there is a better option.

    Begovic (gilks)
Delaney, ward, filipe luis (duff, long)
    Hazard, sterling, coutinho, elmohamady, (snodgrass)
    Pelle, sturridge, Rooney

    Right, here we go then:

    Foster - (Krul)
Cahill - Evans - Chambers - (van Aanholt) - (Bartley)
    Ramsey - Mata - Eriksen - Siggy - (Albrighton)
    Rooney - Costa - Dzeko

    Thoughts?

I believe this is almost the template. Very good. Albrighton may be injured though. Marney or Wanyama should play for 4.5

I have gone from 3-4-3 to 3-5-2 and now on 4-4-2....
What ye think? Expensive defense but balanced IMO.

    DDG
    Cahill, Debuchy, Lovren, Caulker
    Mata, Ramsey, Sterling, Sigurdsson
    Rooney, Costa

    Gilks, Hutton, Davis, Bojan

Hazard and Giroud. Haz>Erik and as Giroud looks like he may start strong again I think he'll keep pace with Rooney.

Ok, so after some tweaking here is my latest draft:

    DDG, 4.0
    Azpi, Kaboul, Cameron, (Bruce, Bartley)
Haz, Mata, Rambo, Eriksen (El Ahmedi)
    Roonpig, Costa, Bojan

    Any thought appreciated.

I would lose Kaboul and personally i prefer Sanchez to Hazard but prob going to be similar scorers until Alexis gets put up top.

Thanks for the feedback, I just like the look of the Tot defense and Kaboul seems to be the most secure at the 5.0 bracket.

I agree on Haz vs Costa. I just don't like taking too many risks to start with. I'm looking at a Haz to Sanchez, Rambo to Siggy at some point which will free up some cash for either a striker upgrade or in defense.
