The Rate My Team Discussion

With so many of you seeking advice on their teams before August 16, we thought it would be prudent to run a daily community article to provide a dedicated focus for “Rate My Team” (RMT) requests.

Each day ahead of the new season, we’ll select one of the Fantasy Football Scout team and post up their own RMT request to open up discussion and encourage others to post their own. We’ll turn the comments over to you to provide a useful place for those seeking advice and highlight some of the key decisions under deliberation.

Please nudge those posting RMTs in other articles to visit this daily RMT article. Also, when posting requests, please remember to be courteous to those who take the time to help out. Equally, if you’re an experienced Fantasy manager with some views on initial line-ups, take time out to dip in and contribute – the Fantasy Football Scout team will be doing their upmost to offer their feedback as the discussion develops throughout the day.

The next Fantasy Premier League RMT contender is Alex Bowers, the winner of the Ultimate Fantasy Premier League Beta version 2013/14.

Alex is not thrilled about having Gylfi Sigurdsson on the bench for the first Gameweek so he is open to alternative suggestions for his fifth midfield slot. He is adopting a wait-and-see aproach regarding Chelsea midfielders, Arsenal and Manchester City. Is he right to wait?

      i would say mucth and giroud are not certain to start yet, chambers wil start GW1, luis is no ay secure. but if they all start, then its a good team

      very poor bench though and stoke are very poor away from home if you plan on Bego each week

    Can this work, playing 2 of siggy, bojan and austin. Or play a bench defender.

    This basically requires two of Siggy, bojan, austin, chester or chambers(or other 4.5) to play each week.

    Im not keen on the strikeforce obviosuly, but feel that siggy will do a good job, then one of the rest to play either up front or at the back

    Hi everyone, this is my second shot at RMT, think my team is getting a bit better;

    Begovic - (Myhill)
    Evans - Cahill - Ward - (Wisdom,Bruce)
    Ramsey - Fabregas - Eriksen - Mata (El Ahmadi)
    Rooney - Bojan - Costa

    Considering downgrading ward to change Eriksen->Sterling, but with Spurs having marginally better fixtures for the first 6 don't know if i should.

      It looks alright. Hoillet is a bit dodgy though so consider alternatives, Davis might be an option.

      That is absolutely marvellous. Play Naismith GW1 (will almost certainly play, and possibly CF if Lukaku isn't ready).

      I approve of Puncheon over Siggy. The only problem is a lack of Mata. I'd say Silva > Mata

      Choice 2, for sure. But I'd rather have Mariappa than Lovren, at least to begin with. Clean sheets are the bread and butter of defenders and Liverpool have yet to prove they can manage them.

      If you do that, can you keep Mata?

      It is certainly a bit different. I'm not keen on Debuchy because of fixtures, and definitely not double Arsenal defence with eve, MCI, TOT, che in the first 7 weeks.

      And I don't believe in Bojan but he is helping you get a fabulous midfield so go for it.
