The final match of Gameweek 1 arrives this evening as promoted Burnley prepare for the visit of Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea. The Blues are heavily backed heading into this one, with both Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas currently sitting in more than 20% of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) teams, while up front, summer signing Diego Costa will be looking to grab the goals and strengthen his armband credentials ahead of next week’s home encounter with Leicester:

Certainly, the stage is set for Costa to deliver after a disappointing series of displays from a number of forwards over the weekend, where only one (Saido Berahino) managed double-figure returns.

At the back, Jose Mourinho opts for Thibaut Courtois between the sticks, with Petr Cech relegated to the Blues’ bench. The Chelsea manager keeps faith with the familiar defence that earned 18 shut-outs last term, with new boy Filipe Luis amongst the substitutes.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Since they signed Hazard And Oscar i speak that Chelsea need a creative deep CM to be more fluid. Fabregas gives that to Chelsea. Nice team, but they will need more phisicality against elite teams.

Quick question as I haven't played fantasy football before...

Let's say I have Hazard but everyone else in my league has Cesc instead. That's probably a good thing isn't it as Hazard will just act as a really high end differential for me? As in it's worth the risk in not having Cesc in that scenario?

Can the people that are saying that they called Fabregas, Ivanovic and Schurrle kindly get over yourself.

Fabregas was a very popular pick and a proven commodity in the PL so no you were not the only one with him and by no means were you a fantasy hipster in the slightest with that selection

It was common knowledge that Ivanovic was the best Chelsea defender to have in terms of attacking potential its just that no one was going to shell out the ridiculously overpriced 7 mil to get him

And everyone knew that Schurrle would be a great pick if he started, but the concern was just that, would he start. So yeah just because you knew that a proven goal scorer would score if he was on the pitch does not make you a genius or the next Paul the Octopus

    Thats all.
