Last season’s top two go head-to-head at the Etihad this evening as Gameweek 2 is brought to its conclusion. Both City and Liverpool go in search of a second successive win, allowing Fantasy managers the chance to assess our options in midfield and attack, with Raheem Sterling, David Silva, Sergio Aguero and Daniel Sturridge looking to get amongst the goals once again.

Aguero remains on the bench for City, however, as Manuel Pellegrini makes just one change from the side that defeated Newcastle last Sunday. The City boss hands Stevan Jovetic and Edin Dzeko the chance to lead the line again, then, whilst Pablo Zabaleta is drafted in at right-back, with Gael Clichy swapping over to the other flank as Aleksandar Kolarov drops out.

Brendan Rodgers makes a couple of alterations to the XI that started against Southampton last time around. New signing Alberto Moreno is handed a debut at left-back, with Glen Johnson shifting to the right of defence as Javier Manquillo drops out. Elsewhere, Joe Allen comes in for Lucas in the centre of the park.

    Arguments against Aguero (Why I am considering not getting him till next week)
    1) He is not fit and will not get 90 mins
    2) Stoke . Bad form but the bus will be parked

        I'd wait until GW6 to take out Rooney, look at their fixtures. The defence is terrible not the attack of Utd... Mata needs to raise his game too and supply more.

    Going ok so far with 127 points so far but have 2 free transfers and no faith in utd

    my current team

    have 2 free transfers question is with utd having 3 easy games coming up do i leave jones and de gea in or swap out maybe de gea for krul and mutch for sigurdson .

    I think Rooney has less of an appeal with Di Maria possibly moving Rooney to the wing to accommodate a 433. With that being said:

      After his acrobatics this week, if Van Gaal had sense, no. He produces nothing, he's just a money saver for people in FF, I know a few already who are wetting themselves at what to do now with DM on route (potentially), Rojo and Shaw returning.

    First season doing fpl , not sure whether to use the wild card ? any suggestions would be very much appreciated ! Here's my team at the moment. Also I have 2 FT.

    Krul (Myhill)

    Vlaar, Debuchy, Lovren (Ward, Bruce)

    Sanchez, Hazard, Siggy , Sterling , Young

    Rooney, Costa (Fletcher)

    Need to get rid of sanchez and young so im thinking either get sanchez and young out for maybe ramsey and chadli, or take the -4 hit and take sanchez, young and hazard out for ramsey, fabregas and chadli ?

    Im saying chadli because he has the most points for what I can afford although they were only scored this week. Please help lol

        I'm not sure why you'd have Krul as a lone keeper, (Myhill isn't nailed) - I'd have another GKP for rotation e.g. - Guzan or someone around that price 4.5-5.5 Max.
        - Defence is decent, Lovren, though? I'd never trust a Liverpool defence.
        - Young will be on the bench before too long with Rojo, Shaw and even Di Maria coming to Utd, potentially. Plus he has no end produce.
        - I think they're better options for that money on Sanchez e.g. Fabregas, Ramsey is a must.
        - Attack, again solid, and with any money saved you put into defence or that 3rd striker but Fletcher isn't a bad move.

        Thanks for the help boys, really needed it.

        Here's what im thinking of doing. Im able to take a -4 hit as I'm pretty sorted in my league at the moment. So to have a more reliable defence i'll take Lovren out for Azpilicueta, then Sanchez for Ramsey and then Young to either Ki Sung Yeung or Chadli ?

    If you're planning to have lets say 1 or 2 4m defenders to sit on the bench all season, does it really matter that much if that players price drops in value if you're not planning to sell them at all that season? or am i missing a really obvious point? to which i blame it on the time of night!
