After kicking off our series of Big Numbers articles with a look at the best performing Defenders over the first three Gameweeks, we now move further up the pitch. This time round we focus on midfielders, with a trio of summer signings all showing plenty of promise in their new surroundings.
Mata -> Sterling is one of my FT's. Guess its no reason not to wait until friday? None seems like falling/rising.
But my second FT is a bit tricky, Strikeforce are Jovetic,Roo,Costa. Costa seems like a keeper, Rooney also I think, Jovetic -> Welbeck? or another under 8.7? Or ship Rooney also, but that leaves me with no Utd cover(That doesnt sound like a bad thing tho)Mata may be a surprise faller before Friday. Would wait if possible.
Cheers! Will wait as long as I dare..
What about my other problem?Jovetic to whoever. Wait to see if injured.
Hoping for the best! Thanks again 🙂
That's going to be my only transfer this week and I'm itching to make it. I'll consider doing it tomorrow if no reports of injuries come up for my players
Itched since after last GW! How did Sterling look last night? Didnt see the match
From what I saw good.
Play Siggy (che) or Jutkiewicz (cry)?
Siggy
Form over fixtures
Do we think Coutinho will start this week? Will trade out next week
If Henderson is injured then only a maybe. Joe Allen has been getting some much needed game time, so could come in for him.
I think he might tbh, Sturridge looks a doubt and i fancy Sterling to be up there with Balo and Coutinho tucked in behind.
Coutinho doesn't play when Liverpool are playing against stronger teams and Rogers is setting up a more defensive team. Home game against Aston Villa? No doubt he will start
2FT
A. Eriksen, Dzeko --> Sterling, Naismith
B. Ramsey --> Sterling (and save 1FT)
C. Eriksen, Cahill --> Sterling, Moreno
D. DDG, Eriksen --> Krul, SterlingC looks good
A sterling is a must the form he's in. Naismith for that price is a bargain looked good v Germany midweek also
D
Good Morning Legends !
Guys would you rather have Wilson or Begovic ..
Team is ...
Begovic
Clyne Moreno 5.5
Sterling Cesc Di Maria Siggz
Costa Welbeck Falcao
Gilks Wisdom Naylor King
Am Thinking if I put in Wilson and Krul I have 1.5 to upgrade elsewhere ?Falcao probably won't start.
Yeah probably save another 0.5 by sticking with Shrek ...where to spend though ??
Don't. Keep Rooney + 0.5/0.6 ITB to make the switch as soon as he's confirmed to start (probably gw5)
Yeah definitely leaning towards that now.
Rest of the team looks ok ?I'd be tempted to keep Hutton over Wisdom. If your other 4 defenders are Moreno, Clyne, Wilson and Naylor. That should see you through Villa's hard fixtures without needing the 5th. Unless you think WBA will be better than Villa defensively moving forward, stick in that case.
Hmm.. That actually sounds like a good idea mate. Villa fixtures do get better. Good shout mate cheers .
Shrek will be absolutely nailed on. Are you on a WC?
Yeah mate. Was gonna save it but team was a bit all over the place so pulled the trigger on the WC
Hmm. Fob off King. At least downgrade to Boyd (4.4m) and I would look at trying to get Ivan. He's been surging forward from the beginning and I fancy him to continue to do so. Not sure you need double United cover either so maybe just stick with one of Rooney/Falcao/ADM - I like ADM but I have Rooney.
If you're bold get Fabianski as well. Stoke and Swansea rotate almost perfectly until GW20 with only one bad GW between the two of them.
Also, try and get some City cover even if it is only Aguero or Silva.Fantastic feedback mate .. Thanks much appreciated.
In 111 minutes of playing time for England Fabian Delph has misplaced just 2 of 58 pass attempts (96.6% accuracy)
Don't rate him .. but he did play well yesterday Tbh
Well, he did after he stopped kicking people in the first ten minutes 😆
Does this team look ok?
Krul
Caulker Clyne Wilson
Sterling Ramsey Lamela Fabregas
Rooney Costa Naismith
------------------------------------------------
Elliot Sigurdsson Moore Hutton
Did Mata>Sterling and Chambers>Wilson (-4).
Thanks.Good to go wouldn't of took a bit on a defender though
Don't bench siggy
Realistically its between Naismith and Siggy. I've benched Siggy against Utd and Naismith in gw 2&3. So my luck isn't great 🙁 Whom should I bench?
Tbh both of them are on shit hot form.
I think Swansea vs Chelsea will be a close encounter both unbeaten so both teams will score imo .. and any goals that's the swans score .. u can be sure Siggy will have a hand in it ..Cheers. Would you risk benching Ramsey this week?
Sorry, just going back to what i said before, regards doubling up... Liverpool have pretty decent fixtures for the next 8. I'm thinking about Migs and Lovren (or Moreno). Bad call?
AVL / whu / EVE / WBA / qpr / HUL / newFor an attacking side, doubling up is dodgy to say the least.
Moreno will likely be the better choice, save your transfer on your keeper, it would be a waste.Moreno! Don't double up on Pool defense.. they are not good as they look.
There's value in the Liverpool attack, not convinced they're a good defensive unit yet. Lovren is the ideal Liverpool cover at the back imo.
Cheers
I assume you have Sterling - what happens if Sturridge starts scoring loads and you can't get him in because you have two Liverpool defenders?
Krul guzan
Clyne PVA Coloccini Wisdom Naylor
Siggy Ramsey Fabregas sterling wanyama
Costa Naismith jovetic
7.2m ITB
Would you do
A) Jovetic > Falcao
B) Wanyama > Di Maria
C) Anything else?
Thank you 🙂A.
Current team:
Krul, Elliot
Ivanovic, Hutton, Wisdom, Clyne, PVA
Fabregas, Siggy, Sterling, Ramsey, Albrighton
Aguero, Costa, Wellbeck
0.3m I'm, 1FT
Unsure where to go next, any suggestions? You seem fine, I'd save.
Wait for news on Costa and then save the FT.
Good call, thanks lads.
PL players injury table
http://www.premierinjuries.comInteresting, Costa back from injury in time for the league game again then?
Yes, as always! COSTAAAAAAA!!
i have 1.0m spare, really considering doing Di Maria in for Ramsey for the next 4 weeks. On my WC. Hate or appreciate, leave a thought.
Hello hombres, been away for a week. Anything happened in my absence? Rises, falls? How is this looking?
De Gea, Gilks
Terry, Pieters, Taylor, Hutton, Wisdom
Mata, Ramsey, Sterling, Sigurdsson, Marney
Costa, Rooney, Adebayor
0 FT, Nothing in the bankWelbeck is a thing now.
Costa, Sturridge are injury concerns of varying degrees.
Sterling is essential.
Yaya can still jog on.Come on guys...
Costa is almost certain to play. Pricing is all screwed up, noone can changes predict effectively. I've read that Wisdom may be at risk of not starting. Rooney continues to be a dissapoinment.
Finally, get rid of Mata asap. My suggestion Mata > FabPredict changes**
Sorry about the repost from last night, but only received one reply... 🙂
Is the WC team below going to cause me too many benching dilemmas?
Krul / Elliot
Ivanovic / Moreno / Shawcross / Clyne / Wisdom
Tadic / Ramsey / Sterling / Siggy / Boyd
Falcao / Costa / Welbeck
Could have Hazard/Fabregas and PVA instead of Tadic and Ivan...
Cheers all! 😀Id probably get Hazard. Your defence is still pretty solid without Ivan... Also watch Falcao news, word is he might start from bench and Rooney still better option for now
Cheers Big Boy! I do like Hazard actually... 🙂
I would squeeze aguero and di maria somehow in your team
That is the other option mate... Cheers... Have another draft with them two in it... Way too many options when on WC 😀
yea same here 🙂
cheers
As long as you have a plan for changing your pricey defensive players when form/fixtures change for them, I think you are all set.
That was my thinking, but Aguero is also knocking on the door... 😀 Thank you for your comment mate...
I have such a soft spot for him, figuring out how to work him into my team! Once Stoke/Uniteds fixtures take a turn for the worse, then is the time to switch to City and Arsenal!
I totally agree... Think I might save money ITB to upgrade Falcao to the man when City's fixtures ease up... 🙂 Good Luck mate!
Welbeck or Naismith?
Welbeck
Chambers to
A) Wilson
B) BlackettA
Bottom of last, i have 1.0m spare, really considering doing Di Maria in for Ramsey for the next 4 weeks. On my WC. Hate or appreciate, leave a thought.
Appreciate... All depends on where Di Maria plays though
So I'm off to New York for a week, will this do? Quite happy to take the hit if needed.
I'm aware my defence is terrible, and that I have a few injury concerns.
Krul
Coloccini, Clyne, Ferdinand,
Lamela, Fabregas, Sterling, Ramsey,
Costa, Jovetic, RooneyJovetic likely to be injured.
As is Costa, but I'm holding until I need to. Welbeck seems the obvious replacement, as does Pelle.
I expect Costa to play. Jovetic likely to be long term. Need a good 1st sub or take the hit imo.
Marley against palace will do, trying to avoid any heart over head moments!
Costa is actually likely not to be injured
Any chance of Ramsey rising before the deadline?
Would you rather have a £4.5m 5th Mid and Balotelli or a £7.6m 5th mid and Welbeck?
Happy with the rest of the team in all positions so this is the last decision I think! You would find it hard choosing one among £7.6m 5th mid and Welbeck every week.
I would choose a nailed on solid attacker thou!Don't feel like you have to spend all your money just because it's there. Get whichever of Balotelli or Welbeck you prefer and get a 5th mid that makes sense (hint: spending 7.6m on a 5th mid doesn't make sense).
If you prefer Welbeck, then get him and save the cash for a hit-free trade in the future. This is a good point. I left myself short on cash a couple of times last season.
With Sturridge out Balotelli is going to need to be the man for the next fortnight and Welbeck's fixtures, despite my opinion he is a big game player, are just too much of a risk.
I think in this case I will start Balotelli against Villa and look at bringing Welbeck to the team in a few weeks. That's my plan too. I'm worried that Welbeck will get off to a flyer despite the fixtures but Mario ought to do well.
Plain and simple, Welbeck, Naismith or Eto'o? Please attach some reasoning to it. I'm tempted by Eto'o, but it's just a feeling cause he is overlooked and unlike the other two, he once was top worldstriker. And I mean TOP.
Lukaku injured.. Eto'o for now.. but how long will he be nailed on? when is Lukaku expected back?
I would choose Naismith and watch Welbeck for couple of games..like the new grav SM!
Vets work! Thanks!
Morning all,
Down to these options - whatcha reckon? A) looks the go-to move if Costa and Jovetic are both fit, but that's not looking too likely....
A) Sanchez & Bony -> Sterling & Costa (4 points)
B) Ramsey/Sanchez, Bony & Jovetic -> Sterling, Costa & Welbeck (8 points)
[if losing Sanchez I'd have 1.4m for a Chambers/Rooney upgrade next week]
C) Terry, Ramsey & Jovetic -> 4.8m, Sterling & Costa (8 points)
D) Chambers, Sanchez & Jovetic -> 4.1m, Sterling & Costa (8 points)
Krul, Elliot
Terry, Clyne, Chambers, Wisdom, Hutton
Sanchez, Hazard, Ramsey, Siggy, Albrighton
Rooney, Bony, Jovetic
Bank 0.4mthat's quite a long reply fail
Welbeck.
Arsenal No.9 with little competition for the next 3 months.
If Giroud was 6.9m at the start of the season he would have 90%+ ownership.Sorry...wrong comment...that was supposed to be to the guy who asked about welbeck/eto'o and naismith.
this wc ?
krul, elliot
clyne, chester, duff, moore, hutton
sterling, ramsey, fabregas, siggy, boyd
costa, rooney, aguerotoo weak at the back, you'd need to downgrade one of rooney/sterling/ramsey/fab to sort it out
This.
Car crash of a defence, looks like it was picked from the damages section of Lidl
Only sport I can watch these days besides futbol is football. Got invited to the game last minute, but couldn't get my shift covered 🙁 What a game it was too! 18-17 Cardinals! AH YEAH!
Can't decide what to do:
a) Begovic in goal - leaves .1 itb
b) Krul in goal - leaves .6 itb
a) means doing Moreno to a 4.0 (already have Duff) to do Naismith to Welbeck
b) means I can do Moreno to a 4.5 to free up the funds
I would happily keep Naismith for two weeks at least, and think Begovic is a stronger shout than Krul.
Thoughts pleaseGoalkeepers rarely make a big difference so go with Krul. Welbeck is not going to stay 6.9 so it gives funding flexibility too
Hi all,

Rooney, Bony, Jovetic
Bank 0.4mhow LVG will play with falcao rooney and rvp? who do you think will be benched?
Mata
RVP could be if those knee rumours are true
I reckon he's heading for a 4-3-3 so Mata could play in the hole with Rooney and the two new lads in from of him.
------------ Mata ------------
Rooney -------------- ADM
----------- Falcao -----------
With Rooney and ADM able to interchange.
I haven't looked at my FPL team for a while.
I just did.
Now I know why I haven't looked at my FPL team for a while.
🙁I rmbr you had awful luck with that team that looked good on paper Sporting. Tough luck, did you pull the trigger?
a) Begovic Tadic Welbeck
*b) Krul Fabregas Naismith
B - all the way
Hard to say at this point. If you have Costa then I think A.
i do have costa
What is better ?
1. Di Maria and Naismith
or
2. Rooney and Boyd1
