What are you Mata owners doing? fixtures look good but talk of his spot being at risk. I haven't got Sterling should I use my ft for a straight swap??

    Krul / Foster

    Jones / Shawcross / Clyne / Coloccini / Wisdom

    Mata / Ramsey / Sterling / Tadic / Siggy

    Costa / Rooney / Naismith

    Currently have 1 FT left:

Rooney -> Welbeck? Would save me money to so Tadic -> a top midfielder

Wait for news on Costa. And Jones too but you have enough on the bench to not waste a transfer on him.

    Krul
    Terry Chester Caulker
    Eriksen Sterling Ramsey Siggy
    Rooney Costa Jovetic

    Elliott Debuchy Albrighton Hutton
    1 million in the bank

Dont really like Terry, Debuchy, Eriksen and Jovetic but cant take all of em out at once. Jovetic seems to be the priority out.. so
    A) Jovetic to Welbeck
    B) Jovetic to Welbeck, Eriksen to Fabregas (-4)
    C) Debuchy to 4.5, Jovetic to Balotelli (-4)
    any other suggestions?

Switching to Ivan would mean no Chelsea midfielder until you use another transfer to get rid of Terry.

        nope, Evans is 0.1m cheaper.

I'm on my WC, so if I get a 0.1 price rise from someone in the next few days it could happen, but probably won't.

It's an option, I would like to have at least one defender from one of the bigger clubs ideally.

Going for Fabregas over Hazard would solve this probably, but I really want Hazard also, think he will be the top scoring midfield player this year.

                Thanks for the feedback

For both of those reasons. If you want anyone in the United defense, which I don't even want to touch right now, try Blackett.

I was thinking Blackett will be the player to go now that Rojo is available?

If Utd stick with the back 3 then Jones - Evans - Rojo will be the three to play?

Admittedly Evans has been poor in the few games I've seen him play, but Utd have good fixtures, and they have to come good soon, right?

                  Jones is injured.

Evans won't get a look in. He's been shite.

If anything, it could be Shaw, Rojo, Jones...

But I rate Blackett. He's cheap too.

Surely Shaw will play wing back, coming in for Young.

                        Yeah, Rojo is, Shaw isn't

                        It'll be interested to see how Utd line up, but I think if they stick to 3 - 5 - 2 it'll be;

                        DDG

                        Jones - Evans - Rojo

                        Valencia - Shaw

                        Herrera - Blind

                        Di Maria

                        Falcao - Rooney

I have Moreno in my side, but thinking about it, is he really going to be much better than some of the 4.5 options. Liverpool have champions league and he has Enrique breathing down his neck.

Wilson for instance has a similar kind run of fixtures and is a million cheaper. Yes Moreno scored last week but looking at his record it not something that happens often. That million saved could come in quite useful if spent elsewhere

Doos has gotten to you too I see!

He was on my watch list even before the Tottenham game last week, with attacking full backs benefiting from bonus points this year I was trying to get as many in my defense as possible.

I still think he will do well this year in an attacking Liverpool side.

People here seem to prefer Naismith over Welbeck. But I see welbeck as a permanent option while naismith would only be temporary, and Id want to use transfers elsewhere in the future... What do you think?

Also is it worth getting Balotelli rather than welbeck or naismith by downgrading a 4.5 defender for a hit?

Naismith will be a regular if he keeps his form up which I think he will. He's been impressive every time I've seen him. Wenger rotates his strikers a lot even when Giroud was in form. Can see Welbeck and Sanogo rotating often

If you were Mou, would you play you 'half-injured' star striker at home where there's a UCL game in 3 days and instead you can play your backup that is still better than Arsenal's strikers (combined)?

I think Costa will start from the bench, even if he is fit.

Have you seen their group? They could play their D team and still go through. Costa will play PL matches, Remy CL matches.

        • 13 Years

Yeah it's an easy group, not the easiest tbh but Chelsea should go through comfortably.

At current moment though, would you force Costa to play when he can sit out and play against Schalke "fully fit" instead? It's not like Swansea is more difficult than Schalke too.

Fair point I totally missed the City game.

Then at this point it's really gonna be down to whether he's fully fit or not on Saturday.

I think Mou will be really careful with Costa's injury considering the City game next week.

We had this reasoning last time when there was the chance him missing the match would be a good excuse for him not to be called up to international duty. That ended well for those benching and selling.

I'll start but not captain if I'm not sure. Siggy will come off my bench

Missing a match just to proof your 'injury' to avoid intl duty is a bad reasoning imo.

I just think Mou will be more careful with his injury and play safe with a game vs City next week in mind - not the Schalke one.

Mata -> Sterling is one of my FT's. Guess its no reason not to wait until friday? None seems like falling/rising.

But my second FT is a bit tricky, Strikeforce are Jovetic,Roo,Costa. Costa seems like a keeper, Rooney also I think, Jovetic -> Welbeck? or another under 8.7? Or ship Rooney also, but that leaves me with no Utd cover(That doesnt sound like a bad thing tho)

With a lack of price movement i believe a 352 now works better than a 343
How so i hear you say

A 352 has eight players that are good, for example Tadic and Naismith. Traditionally that is seen as wasteful as you leave money on the bench as opposed to a 343 for example Ade and Boyd

Previous years if a player was injured you would remove them as the price drops would make holding on a very poor option. Now however it makes sense to simply keep the player until he recovers.

In a 352 this is easy as you can simply play Naismith for example . In a 343 that dosent work, as the 4.5 bench players are useless so there is more pressure to waste a transfer

Having said all this, no doubt next week they will tamper again , and prices will change ten times faster

Not following you old chap. I think it will come down to who the best three strikers are and how much they cost. Just because Naismith is cheap, it doesn't mean owning him forces you into a 3-5-2, as you can play him. If he stops performing later down the line and stops being an attractive asset, no doubt we will need to swap out a midfielder for a cheap 5th mid and invest more up front, possibly for Welbeck

*insert price movement obsession comment here*

This is possible only with Naismith IMO since he is a nailed on cheap striker.

In a way it is somewhat similar with Welbeck + Siggy combo for 3-4-3.

I'm not very good with Photoshop, so it's just two images stuck together making the background lighter.

Unfortunately the gravs are a bit small , so you can't see it, but the rainbow is actually made of lego.

I am suggesting that people incorporate it into their grav as it will be more fun! I would do my usual Grav with a rainbow flag in the background but I'm not able to do it right now.

Didn't see the game last night. I'm guessing the Welbeck bandwagon is up and running (if wasn't already after his transfer).

He did ok .. took his chances well.
If he is a starter at Arsenal which I think he will be .. at his price he is well worth it .. he will get chances and will put a few goals away imo .. all about gametime imo

When he gets his chance down the centre, he will get so,e form of returns.

He may spray 100 crosses/passes wide, or trip himself up 9 times out of 10, but you only need that one chance to get points.

Aka Yaya. I'll wait to bring him in for Arsenals lovely week 8 onwards fixtures.

            Begovic
            Clyne Moreno 5.5
            Sterling Cesc Di Maria Siggz
            Costa Welbeck Falcao

            Gilks Wisdom Naylor King

I'd be tempted to keep Hutton over Wisdom. If your other 4 defenders are Moreno, Clyne, Wilson and Naylor. That should see you through Villa's hard fixtures without needing the 5th. Unless you think WBA will be better than Villa defensively moving forward, stick in that case.

Hmm. Fob off King. At least downgrade to Boyd (4.4m) and I would look at trying to get Ivan. He's been surging forward from the beginning and I fancy him to continue to do so. Not sure you need double United cover either so maybe just stick with one of Rooney/Falcao/ADM - I like ADM but I have Rooney.

If you're bold get Fabianski as well. Stoke and Swansea rotate almost perfectly until GW20 with only one bad GW between the two of them.

Also, try and get some City cover even if it is only Aguero or Silva.

For an attacking side, doubling up is dodgy to say the least.

Moreno will likely be the better choice, save your transfer on your keeper, it would be a waste.

Livescore has him in the predicted line ups. So I guess he is.
