The final instalment in our series of Big Numbers articles focussing on Gameweeks 1-3 is rolled out this evening. After assessing the fortunes of defenders and midfielders, we now turn our attentions to the men up front – Chelsea and Southampton’s summer signings come under assessment, as do Everton’s in-form budget striker and the contrasting fortunes of a pair of Manchester-based front men.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

    Begovic (Myhill)
    Clyne, Coloccini, Pieters (Duff) (Taylor)
Di María(c), Ramsey, Fábregas, Sterling, Sigurdsson
    Welbeck, Costa (Naismith)

Moreno would be decent but it'd mean I'd have 3 Lpool players, not sure that's something I'd like

Clyne would clash with Sigurdsson and Taylor the following week

This, as a Palace fan we actually don't look to bad going forward (3-3 Newcastle) but seemed to have forgotten everything Pulis has taught us overnight, Zaha and Puncheon (MAYBE GAYLE) ones to consider for Palace but would steer clear of defenders for now. And to OP, Both if you can!

    Bego - Guzan
    Shawcross - Hutton - Ivano - Moreno - Dier

Double Villa defence is not good.

Schneiderlin is waste. Just get a 4.5m filler. (marney or king)

I'm on a wildcard but I'm drowning in dilemma quicksand!
Current team which was trying to earn some dosh in the international break
    Krul - Elliot
    ShawX-Moreno-Ivan-Wisdom-Hutton
    Ramsey-Siggy-Fab-Sterling-King
    Aguero-Costa-Naismith
    0.3 ITB

I've been caught out by lack of rises in the market so I'm sitting on 0.1 rises for ShawX,Hutton,Ivan,Ramsey,Fab,Sterling,Costa and Naismith.

My main dilemma is that going forward, I want Welbz in for Naismith. I can chuck out Shaw and Moreno for something like Clyne and Naylor OR do I do the unthinkable and drop Ramsey for Zaha, which also gives me 2.3 ITB.

Much help appreciated and will be paid for in me sending happy thoughts your way!

Cheers guys, still split on this one. Thespecialone has essentially what I was thinking originally(I don't understand the boyd pick though as i have enough money - is he going to start playing more?).

The naismith thing is tricky isn't it? Everton's fixtures look tasty and he's the main man at the moment - do you just keep him and milk the potential further rises?

    Sterling, Zaha, Siggy, Fabregas, Ramsey*
    Rooney, Naismith, Costa*

Tough one that. Really can't pick between the 2 to be honest. Liverpool have the better fixtures I would argue but they have CL too. Both will be good options though so don't think you'll go too wrong.

You dont get the most expensive player in the league just to sit on the bench. Falcao may be a slight starting doubt this week but he will be nailed on the team pretty soon.

If anything he is the strongest link in attack, he's obviously been given license to go forward. See every previous season he has been nowhere near that advanced and been a beast defensively, obviously part of the tactics. He is 100% nailed there is no debate about it

This season's Ivanovic = poor man's David Luiz.

Sure, he can attack, but he's clearly shown that he can't do so without compromising defence. He'll be dropped soon.

                  he's the most expensive defender?

and if Mourinho wants to shore up the defence he will just restrict Ivan going forward, not drop him because he is still the best rb we have defensively

                  he will not be dropped

What does his price have to do with anything? 😆

And defensively, Azpi is the best RB in the league. No disputes there.

Defensively, Azpi is far superior to Ivanovic. So is Luis. Do the math.
