With West Brom and Man United set to see out the Gameweek tomorrow, we delve into the data from the nine matches played so far. Unsurprisingly, Man City, Southampton and West Ham’s in-form front men are on this evening’s agenda, whilst we also cast an eye over a couple of improving north London-based midfielders.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Thinking of using the WC this week. Really want to get Sanchez in but the midfield glut, Costa's mystery injury and fitting in Aguero is doing my head in...current MF is Fab, ADM, Sterling, Siggy and Zaha.

    Costa Kun Pelle

Considering freeing up funds for eventual move back to Costa after shipping him for Aguero Friday night (I plan to keep Kun). Also don't like the looks of Liverpool. Thoughts on the following?

    1) Sterling >

    C) Chadli
    E) Eriksen
    T) Tadic

    2) Moreno >

    C) Chambers
    D) Dawson
    R) Rose (or Kaboul, I suppose)
    T) Tomkins

I already have Naylor, the other obvious suspect in this price bracket. Thanks for weighing in.

Problem is Aguero's price is getting a bit out of control...but with so much money tied up in Costa, I guess it's prudent to wait.

100% chance Costa watches that mid-week game from his couch at home.

75% chance he's *fit* for United.

The fear is what can happen without him ... we've had the scare-mongering from Mourinho before and not only did he start he went full r3tard. Losing him is a big fear.

However ... the same fear now exists with Aguero so it's a calculated risk!

    Third time lucky.

    Foster - Mannone
    Clyne - Chambers - Naylor - Hutton - Moore
    ADM - Fab - Sterling - Siggy - Boyd
    Costa - Aguero - Pelle

    2 FTs, nothing itb

Was thinking of doing Naylor -> Jagielka and Sterling -> Eriksen

Already have Pelle so I don't think getting in Tadic as well is wise.

Don't think they are bad moves, but (a) I don't get the Jagielka love and (b) why not get Tadic? The number of players you have from a team should not stop you from getting a very good player if you think he is a going to score.

Four more fixtures until Southampton hit an absolutely horrendous run though so doubling up on their attack now would probably be a relatively short term move.

      2. michudagawd
        • 12 Years
        11 years, 2 months ago

I just think having 3 Southampton players is overkill and while I agree that Tadic is a very good player I think Eriksen is also capable of delivering the goods consistently. And yeah I'd prefer to get Baines of course but Jagielka offers a cheap way into Everton's defence and is good for regular bonus points.

I've settled on Sterling > Eriksen.

Both quality players playing in team that look quite poor atm. Sterling has a few more points but also had the easier fixtures. Eriksen has also outscored him over the last five or so weeks and proved yesterday that he is capable of delivering even against the top teams. Plus at under 8% ownership Eriksen is a nice differential and may well remain so for a while as people either prefer Tadic or already have Chadli.

The real benefit is the extra 1m saved though. Enough to replace Costa (if I have to), or upgrade Siggy when he hits rough fixtures, or just upgrade my defense in general. I think that makes it a risk worth taking....

No one is essential I guess but look at his scores. Has only drawn a blank twice.

Frankly from what I have seen he is unplayable most the time. Your buying consistancy and explosive potential all in one. Not much risk in captaining him either. Fantasy gold by all accounts.

Dinnery getting called out for the fraud he is: https://twitter.com/BenDinnery/status/523494822041387008

Can't believe he had the cheek to tweet this as if has any inside info. Just reading from Moose's tweet about not costa not being on the coach: https://twitter.com/BenDinnery/status/523457617587212288

HaHa. Nothing more than we already knew. He just trawls twitter like anyone else. He has taken the Costa news from a newspaper quote as well and failed to declare the original source

People are forgetting Siggy & Chaldi started the season costing 6mil, but are demanding returns rivaling ADM, Faregas every week.

I think this is a good point.

Especially chadli who has the stats to back up his performances unlike siggy.
