Our first foray into the upcoming fixture schedule over the next four to six Gameweeks sees the league leaders handed the chance to strengthen their title tilt. The prospects also look good for both Merseyside rivals, whilst Sam Allardyce has much to smile about as West Ham braces themselves for a kind run of matches as well.

CHELSEA

“frisking

Despite their late setback against Man United at the weekend, Jose Mourinho’s side are still riding high at the summit. What’s more, the Blues welcome relegation candidates QPR to Stamford Bridge next weekend, with trips to the stuttering defences of Liverpool and Sunderland also in the next four. Home clashes with Tottenham and West Brom are also unlikely to hold too much fear, with Chelsea’s unbeaten status testament to the dominant manner in which they have begun this season.

At the back, Cesar Azpilicueta will sit out the QPR encounter before returning from suspension away to Liverpool in Gameweek 11. Filipe Luis, then, has just one more chance in the league to justify his claim for a regular starting spot at left-back – a situation which would, of course, work favourably for Fantasy managers, with the Spaniard available for just 5.4 in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game. With such uncertainty surrounding the left back berth, Branislav Ivanovic’s guaranteed pitch time and attacking threat ensure that he continues to look the best option in the Blues’ rearguard, despite being the most expensive defender in FPL at 7.3 – the Serbian serves his one-match ban in tonight’s Capital One Cup clash with Shrewsbury.

Further up the field, the consistency of Cesc Fabregas, who has now returned points in all but two rounds of fixtures this season, means he currently holds the edge over Eden Hazard for a spot in our midfields, though the latter still looks the more explosive option, and with an ownership of just 14.6%, is also a significant differential. Up top, Diego Costa has failed to feature in each of Chelsea’s last three in all competitions, and has resultantly seen a decline in ownership – the forward has been shifted on by almost 34,000 owners since the weekend. However, a return to fitness across the Blues’ upcoming fixtures could see him hit form again and come back to haunt those who have already lost faith in the Premier League’s joint top scorer.

WEST HAM

“frisking

Having shocked Man City at the weekend, the Hammers now embark on a superb run of fixtures which could well see them cement their surprise place in the top four. An away trip to Everton in Gameweek 12 could prove testing, but that match aside, it won’t be until the Gameweek 18 clash with Chelsea that Sam Allardyce’s side will be considered the underdogs. A home encounter with Aston Villa, who lost out to QPR last night, follows this weekend’s meeting with Stoke, as the east Londoners look to continue the form that has seen them win each of their last their three in the league.

Diafra Sakho now has seven goals in his last seven appearances in all competitions for the Hammers, and at 5.7, the forward continues to look one of the best budget attacking options around. We will, however, have to await further news on his shoulder injury. Available for the same price is Stewart Downing, who has been reinvigorated under Allardyce and has proved a pivotal figure in the Hammers’ midfield this season – his total of three assists thus far is better than any team-mate.

At the back, meanwhile, Adrian could prove a great pick between the sticks, whilst Aaron Cresswell has notched back-to-back assists as his marauding runs from left-back are starting to bear fruit. The Hammers may have only tallied one clean sheet so far but they have only conceded two goals in their last three, and as last Saturday demonstrated, they have the potential to stand up to even the most creative of attacks.

EVERTON

“frisking

After an uncertain start to the campaign, the Toffees are beginning to hit their stride, having picked up two consecutive league wins and notched six goals across those encounters. Their return to form couldn’t be better timed, with three home fixtures in the next five sure to offer them the chance to accumulate the points, whilst away days against out-of-sorts Sunderland and Spurs could also prove profitable.

Leighton Baines now leads the way for defenders in FPL, and with six assists to his name, has already bettered his tally from last season. However, for those unable to stump up the 7.2 needed for his services, Phil Jagielka comes in at a much more budget friendly 5.5, and has scored twice in his last four league outings. Further up the park, we are yet to see a stand-out option in the Toffees’ midfield, though they do offer us forward options at a range of prices. Romelu Lukaku is available for 9.1 and is beginning to show some consistency with four goals in his last six, whilst Samuel Eto’o (5.6) underlined his potential with a brace against Burnley on Sunday. Steven Naismith is even cheaper at 5.1, though has only notched once in his last six in the league.

LIVERPOOL

“frisking

Brendan Rodgers’ boys may not be setting the world alight right now, but their upcoming schedule, combined with the imminent comeback of Daniel Sturridge, could see their fortunes turn around quickly. The home clash with Chelsea in Gameweek 11 will certainly test their title ambitions but the surrounding fixtures all hold the potential for returns, with the following two home fixtures against Stoke and Leicester looking particularly appealing.

A clean sheet against Hull on Saturday is unlikely to tempt too many to invest in their defence, though for those predicting an upturn in defensive form, it’s worth noting that the attacking left-back Alberto Moreno has earned two bonus points in both matches his side have managed a clean sheet. In midfield, Raheem Sterling’s owners may be persuaded to hold as the 8.9-valued England starlet looks to find his first goal since Gameweek 5, whilst further up the pitch, Liverpool fans and Fantasy managers alike will be eagerly awaiting the return of Sturridge from his calf injury. The forward, though a huge gamble at 11.2, could prove an outstanding differential across their kind schedule.

Also Consider:

Arsenal
The Gunners found their first win in four against Sunderland at the weekend, and with a home clash with Burnley and trip to Swansea up next, Arsene Wenger’s side will be confident of building on that victory. Alexis Sanchez has accumulated 29 points over his last two displays and finally looks to be justifying his 10.4 valuation, though managers are also advised to monitor Theo Walcott who could emerge as a differential alternative to the Chilean once fit. Danny Welbeck is still the cheapest regularly starting attacker and continues to look a threat for his 7.4 price tag – the forward will be relishing the chance to face former side Man United in Gameweek 12 and also squares up to Swansea and West Brom in the next four. At 4.6, Calum Chambers offers an excellent-value route into the back-four.

Burnley
They may still be without a win since their promotion to the top flight, but Sean Dyche’s side have finally found their goalscoring boots in recent weeks and now have the platform to finally pick up their first three points. Home clashes with Hull, Aston Villa and Newcastle await them in the next five, and with star striker Danny Ings (5.7) back in the side and amongst the goals at the weekend, a victory doesn’t seem too far off now for the Clarets. Scott Arfield and George Boyd offer budget options in midfield, whilst Kieran Trippier’s raids down the right may yet prove key to his side’s attacking intentions.

Aston Villa
Having emerged from a horrendous run of fixtures with just three points to show for their toils, Villa failed to impress against QPR last night. Nonetheless, their forthcoming schedule offers plenty of opportunity to get back on the right track, with trips to West Ham, Burnley and Crystal Palace now imminent. With at least two goals conceded in each of their last five in the league, investment in Villa’s defence still looks unlikely for now, and their fortunes may well rest in the hands of their attackers, with Christian Benteke searching for his first goal since his return from injury and Gabby Agbonlahor looking to notch for the first time since back-to-back strikes in Gameweeks 3 and 4.

I am Liverpool fan and I watched their game was poor, no creative just pass cut the defense and then pass back to goalkeeper. Next, Newcastle is just good form. I am sure Liverpool will play the same as before. Next 2 game Liverpool will face with Chelsea, I am sure Sterling cant win Chelsea's Defense and his price will be decrease.

Fair enough - I suppose that as a Liverpool fan you would be in a better position to judge than I.

Also, as a newcastle fan, I'm hoping sterling doesn't score this week 😛

Afternoon DZ! A few suggestions would be great 🙂

    Krul
    Baines Bertrand Terry
    ADM Fab Sterling Siggy
    Costa Pelle Welbeck

Elliot - Naylor, Wisdom, Marney 2FT, 0.8 itb. WC intact.

Really not sure what to do this week. I like the look of Sanchez but I'm reasonably happy to stick it out with the template midfield. Sterling -> Sanchez would also require another transfer.

Obviously I have an aguero-shaped hole in the team also. But I've held onto Costa through far too many drops to sell him now on the eve of a (potential) prime fans at home v qpr. I'm also struggling to justify removing either of the other forwards, especially when considering the big hit somewhere else in my team would have to take.

As such, I'm unsure in the extreme. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Tough call you have a pretty kickass squad. You can focus on your Swansea players due to Swansea tough fixtures coming up. Not sure if you want to give up Siggy for another mid if youd like. or a possible upgrade of Naylor to Cresswell ?

    A) Sterling -> Ramsey
    B) Albrighton -> Boyd
    C) Elliot -> Jakupovic
    D) Pelle -> Welbeck
    E) Sterling & Chadli/Siggy -> Sanchez & Boyd

I wouldn't be looking at any of those options as priorities, but since your squad is pretty well setup for this week, and assuming nothing else is heard re Costa or other injuries, perhaps B. Not very exciting, but a playing 5th mid can certainly come in handy, as the rest of FFS feel obliged to remind me re boyd's 8 pts off the bench 2 weeks ago 😛

Cheers. I'm currently between A and B. Ramsey should start and has every chance of a big haul at home to BUR. Nice little differential also. Sterling without Sturridge doesn't look great, and with 2 away games and CHE in the next 3 perhaps a decent time to jump ship?

Could be a genius move. But I think it's perhaps based out of hope rather than statistically-reinforced expectation.

I'd perhaps be keen to see Ramsey show more signs of last years form before I go there, especially with fantasy gold Walcott returning imminently.

I think you'd have to get very lucky for that hit to pay off. Coleman should still score attacking pts so I wouldn't be in a hurry to do baines -> Coleman for a hit.

If you can bear with it - I think eriksen should still come good. Not too sure what I'd do tbh, only that I definitely wouldn't take that 8 pt hit.

Newcastle fan here - janmaat hasn't looked like doing much going forward for a few weeks now. I'm ecstatic that we have started winning for a change, though I'm not convinced our defense has turned the corner just yet - we were still atrocious in the first half against Spurs.

Any reasoning to go with these picks?

For me, Costa's hammy sounds like it'll be a recurring issue until he gets his op. As a frustrated Aguero owner last year, I know just how irritating it can be to be continually swapping in and out a premium player.
On the other hand, I currently have Welbek who, despite the flak he gets, I think will go on to provide decent points till January. Walcott at 9m seems a better pick when fit than Sanchez.

He's very solid. His hold up play is unbelieveable for how young he is. Better than Welbeck on the ball in my opinion. Probably just as physical. Couldve had a hat trick this weekend, had two other clear opportunities that sailed wide by a few centimeters.

He scores from open play too and has a deceptively fierce shot on him. Next 2 fixtures look plum for him.

No offense bud but why don't you people actually watch the full games (not just the highlights) before deciding on a player? I learn alot about players from watching plays that don't necessarily produce goals. Do they not have DVR in England? Sanchez work-rate is insane, he doesn't stop running, ever! People say he's been getting lucky but I am one that firmly believes that each person creates their own 'luck'.

I don't actually watch the full games because (1) I don't have time due to family and other social commitments; (2) where I live, the games are normally broadcasted at around 2:00am and so; (3) I have a day job.

I do watch highlights but it isn't enough, which is why I like to gather opinions and views of others who have watched him play all games.

Gotcha. Didnt mean to come off as an asshole. Where do you live? Australia? maybe US west coast. Sanchez is the real deal, you have to realize it takes a few weeks to adapt to a new country, a new league, he still doesn't know english. Most importantly it takes a while to adapt to a new team, new teammates, new system etc etc. I can only see him getting better and better. When he was in La Liga with Barcelona, he improved as the year went on. Trust me on this one, I was born in Chile (now live in the US) and have been following the kid since he was 15-16 when no one knew who he was.

Sanchez is the real deal. But if you're impressed by a player closing down defenders you might as well bring James Milner in. He was massively lucky.

Where was Welbeck, the main striker, when the 'luck' was being handed out ? No such thing as luck inn football. You get into scoring positions and if the ball isn't given to you you fight for it or wait for it to drop to you.

Watch the amount of goals Eto'o gets from 'luck'. The more he practices the luckier he gets.

He needs to work more on scoring goals and less on woarkrate. Always seems to be more effective when he has to make a split second decision, turn and shoot or get his head on a good cross. I wouldn't back him picking the ball on the edge of the box having to beat a man and guide the ball past the keeper.

Absolutely. Couldve easily had his back to the goal as he is running back to defend. Tadic made it look easy but that one touch finish is much much harder than it looks on TV. Like I said muppet we are never going to agree on this..

Sure you can, you just have to look at it a different way. Mannone saw the little Chilean blazing full speed out of the corner of his eye and completely panicked which led to the complete whiff with his right foot. Then, he proceeded to verbally attack his defenders as if it was their fault. Maybe it wasn't that Sanchez got lucky, but more of Mannones 'bad' luck. Either way, Sanchez scored. Don't think that we will agree, and that is ok too.

Welbeck is bound to get so lucky soon. His natural goalscoring instincts that netted him 2 goals in 6 league games (and a bit in 2 more) !

For a man playing in his first PL season Sanchez is doing class and he'll only get better.

Yes Wes Brown and Mannone made mistakes that led to his goals but the reason they made mistakes is because they felt the pressure coming from Sanchez. When you have less time to think, sometimes coming down to fraction of a second, you will make mistakes. His constant pressure on the ball led to the mistakes which led to the goal. When you work hard, it pays off plain and simple.

He's a goalscorer on top of high workrate. Welbeck doesn't have the same goalscoring instincts. If he did he'd be sniffing goals like Sanchez. Sanchez's returns will increase when Walcott returns and Welbeck could be the man to make way if he doesn't find the onion sack more regularly.

That's the mentality of Chilean national team, since Bielsa, it's been straight up high pressing & force errors in midfield (i.e against Spain).

Vidal, Medel, Vargas, Isla, all engines on the field

If you want a creative option Siggy to Downing would free up enough funds to upgrade Sterling to Walcott/Silva etc in a week or two.

No point in changing the defence this week imo - you've got your three starters secured.

I don't feel Welbeck is a long-term keeper. He's got good fixtures in the short-term but Berahino or a fit Sakho are better value for money and I would prefer Wally or Sanchez (if I could afford him)for Arsenal cover in the long term.

    Terry Chambers Clyne (Moore, Taylor)
    ADM Siggy Tadic Sterling (Marney)
    Costa(C) Aguero(VC) Pelle

    Have 2FT, 0.3m ITB.

Need some advice, not been a Fab owner ever and it worries me especially with QPR coming up.

Sterling & Tadic ---> Haz/Fab/Sanchez & Downing ok moves? For free since i have 2 FTs.
If so, who should i prioritise out of Haz/Fab/Sanchez?

Other options would be just Marney to Boyd and save other FT.

Any help appreciated. Currently 1.3k OR which is my highest ever!

    Sanchez or Aguero for captain?

ManU seems to be tightening up so might be wise to choose Sanchez although they both are in fine form.

    Krulliot
    Baines-Clyne-Wilson (Moore,Duff)
    Sanchez-Adm-Fabregas-Siggy (Boyd)
    Aguero-Welbz-Pelle

Probably Aguero. ManU look shaky at the back, while Burnley will probably park the bus.

Their defence played pretty well against Chelsea. Burnley's bus has conceded 12 goals in last 4.

In fairness, Chelsea were without Costa, DDG bailed them out on many occaisons, and Chelsea's tactics turned quite negative after they scored.
I think Burnley will concede, but Arsenal have had trouble breaking such teams down. I think they'll score two, but probably not four.

I swear, if everyone here would put in as much time, analysis, patience and planning to the stock market as we do to FPL, we would all be millionnaires by now.

Was fancying this myself last week w/ Sahko for Bera. Came to the conclusion that I'd rather just wait for the calm after the Sanchez storm & reassess Arsenal mids when Wally's back to compete.
Seems a bit a premature, albeit good on paper.

Those 2 FT's could serve you well if a newly fit forwards comes in & break the template up top

Who is the best Mid to get in FPL at:

    1) >5.1 M

    2) >4.6 M

I already have 3 Southampton players, so anyone from SOU is not an option. Need your help. Thanks.

      B precisely
Welbeck's fixture is ripe, unlikely blank
Siggy & Bony coming to form could bear you fruit against that Blue backline

I have the Kun for future references, though Hazard's low enough ownership could justify itself as catching up.

Probably -- but it would be some differential if it worked.

If Costa is back Hazard will see less action in the area imo.

This is the week for double Arsenal attacking cover. Burnley has conceded 12 goals in last 4 against teams such as wba, leicester, west ham, everton.

Probably dump Welbeck for Sakho after this gw if he isnt injured.

I dunno. Burnley was criticized for playing too defensively, so the attack more and get one point from 4 matches. They tried to play football and got burned doing so. I think they'll revert back to a defensive shell. They can't hope to win a wide-open match against Arsenal.

Wenger eager to start Theo...but will not start against Burnley...I think a 15min Cameo is also enough for him to score a goal..
