The season could barely have started brighter for Raheem Sterling after the youngster grabbed two goals and an assist in the opening three Gameweeks for Liverpool. With Daniel Sturridge sidelined ever since, however, Sterling has struggled to replicate his early form, scoring just once and earning a pair of assists in the subsequent six Gameweeks.

Despite a weekend showdown against Newcastle on his agenda, Sterling is the most sold player in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game, with over 65,000 owners parting company in order to acquire the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Dusan Tadic and Cesc Fabregas.

In our second members article of the week, we take a look at his displays with and without Sturridge on the park in order to ascertain just why he’s failed to deliver.

        Would only have 6.2 swapping Naylor for Baines for the midfield spot. Not sure any 6.2 and less mid plus Baines is better than Naylor and Sterling at the moment, tough one.

        Cheers, that's been an idea. The sad thing is I only really want Baines in as I feel with Clyne in there, it would then be a good balance, however impossible to get him in without removing a player I want to keep 🙁

      Annoyingly good team to have 2 FTs! Downing has some good fixtures lined up. What about a keeper change or an uber cheap defender?

      I had this problem until i logged in 10 minutes ago and heard Silba was injured. Best to leave the transfer until saturday morning, whatever you decide to do

        Ha cheers! I think I plan keeping Forster the season unless something goes wrong and not too bothered Hamer not playing.

        Unfortunately with 0 ITB only sideway moves unless I downgrade a mid, though only the ones I want to keep provide the funds to upgrade to Baines.

        Think I'll wait till Friday evening / Saturday morning yeah, been the best idea so far regarding injuries cropping up. Cheers 🙂

        Yeah that's been going around in my head!

        Siggy not great form alike Sterling in a sense, though in a way now I see Sterling more a differential (at least I believe for the non-casuals of FF) and Siggy has set-pieces with Bony looking dangerous of late.

        Will wait till Friday or Saturday then make a decision, feels unnatural not making any with 2FT!

        I am, undecided for now. As a United fan I find it very tough to captain Aguero but he always scores against us and we will definitely concede. Hazard has more potential for a haul but could equally come back with a 2.

    Ivanovic owners me included. Aren't we delusional a little bit? he scored 2 goals, yeah I agree but he has 4 shots on target in total. Surely a regression candidate. And he has only 1 shot on target in last 5 PL games. I checked this stat too.

    I am thinking of downgrading. But on the other hand he is assured of starts and Che fixtures are starting to be awesome after the Liv game. Surely he will get the license to bomb forward again...

    Is it pure luck or someone could argue pro or against Ivanovic from now on. Forget the past. BTW Have in mind that I/we already own Baines, Ivanovic is possible supplement for me, not a replacement.

      Downgrade I'd say...you need the money elsewhere potentially...maybe Azpi (if he's not still banned) would a viable option.

            Well I just shipped him in. The guy averages 4-5 shots per game + on penalties and crosses. I don't see the point in not having him. A lot of value at his price.

    Hello all! Which of these do you prefer?

    A) Sigurdsson to Sanchez for free and Welbeck to Pelle next week for free.
    B) Sterling to Sanchez and Welbeck to Costa for -4?
    C) Sterling to Sanchez for free, Naylor to 4.9 def for free, then following week Welbeck to Costa. No hits.

    If I do (A) I can't afford to get Costa in and I am afraid he will get a big haul against QPR also. Think (A) is the most sensible option though..

      There is no midfielder in the game below Sterling's price you should want over him. If you are to get rid I think he should be traded for one of the more expensive lads....Hazard, Alexis, AdM, even Cesc. That's my two cents.
