Jack Wilshere is a big doubt for Arsenal’s home clash with Burnley, who welcome back Dean Marney into midfield. West Ham’s Diafra Sakho is in with a chance of lining up against the Potters. Brendan Rodgers rules out Jose Enrique against Newcastle, who themselves could be without forward Papiss Cisse. Sadio Mane is set to return to training as he bids to prove his fitness ahead of Southampton’s KC clash, while the FA rescind Federico Fernandez’s three-match ban ahead of Swansea’s trip to Everton.

Arsene Wenger is “quite confident” Kieran Gibbs will overcome a hip problem in time for tomorrow’s visit of Burnley. The Gunners boss expects Jack Wilshere to miss out with a “very, very short-term” knee problem, whilst he also went on to confirm Theo Walcott is “not completely ready” and won’t start against the Clarets.

Sam Allardyce has revealed that Diafra Sakho is “touch and go” for the weekend, after injuring his shoulder during the win over Man City. Allardyce confirmed the Hammers will monitor the forward’s condition before Saturday, whilst James Tomkins and Matt Jarvis have recovered from their injuries and will make a return to the squad.

Jose Enrique will miss the reunion against former club Newcastle, with Brendan Rodgers confirming that the defender has an issue with his knee. The Reds boss has also conceded he expects Daniel Sturridge to remain sidelined until after the next international break, before talking up Fabio Borini’s prospects ahead of the Magpies clash and also hinting at a change of tactics for the weekend, after mainly operating with a 4-2-3-1 in Sturridge’s absence.

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has rated Papiss Cisse “touch and go” as the striker bids to overcome a knee problem in time for the Liverpool clash.

Reports in the local press indicate David Silva will miss the next three weeks with a knee problem sustained against Newcastle in midweek. Manuel Pellegrini is expected to clarify the situation in today’s lunchtime press conference.

Sean Dyche has received a boost ahead of the trip to the Emirates, with news that midfielder Dean Marney is back in contention to face the Gunners after recovering from injury.

Sadio Mane is a doubt to face Hull as he bids to overcome an ankle injury picked up last week. Ronald Koeman has announced that the winger is expected to be part of the travelling squad on Saturday, should he come through training this morning.

Federico Fernandez will be available for Swansea’s trip to Goodison after successfully appealing the red card he received in the midweek cup exit to Liverpool. Elsewhere, midfielders Gylfi Sigurdsson and Ki Sung-Yeung are both back in training ahead of the Toffees test

I have, because I prefer Agüero and Berahino for goals.

But I will get him back soon.

I object to a really excellent black footballer being called awful.

Then why are we discussing this? I was clearly referring to people who stated that he was awful.

However, to me, he is on a par with Agüero. I know that you will strongly disagree on this, which is fair enough. 🙂

This. He's had a few weeks off now. Too much rest wouldn't be good and I'm sure he's hungry. Dropping him cause "it's just qpr" is something Jose is too smart to do imo.

I think he's rested enough. With Remy out and Drogba playing the last 2 I hope he'll play. I think Mourinho's more likely to start him and take him off if the win looks assured.

Whereas this is a thoroughly worthwhile contribution.

Yes, some of the posts aren't particularly helpful (probably including most of my own), but the site is not necessarily primarily for the comments. - the articles and members area are excellent. Not every post on here can be insightful or interesting, but you do get a lot of help from posters on here.

Discounting last season when I had a ghost team, I've been on here for 1 full season, and this one so far, and in the full season I finished 296, and now I'm just outside the top 1k. That is not coincidence.

Arsenal are actually missing Giroud. Welbeck will run into the channels but hasn't learnt to hold the ball up as well. Plus Giroud holds seniority.

Welbeck might find himself out on the left flank again.

Arsenal were terrible last week. His 2 goals were gifts. I couldnt be happier that people are bringing him in. Captaining him is even better but they looked a mess and I'm not touching them until Wally is up and running.

      PS Welbeck is just awful

No matter who you support if you watched the Sunderland game you must agree. Welbeck in principle seems like an amazing fantasy prospect but will never return imo. And soon he will be only getting 10-20 min cameos

Carzola was embarrassing last week constantly moaning and not tracking back. His heart just isnt in it. Ramsey and Jack will make a big difference. Chambers was very good as was Monreal

I watched the game, just because you have one bad game doesn't mean your heart isn't in it.

Welbeck is an improving player who is finally being given a chance in the position he likes.

Your lack of patience and knowledge is why people get on players backs.

One bad game... I wont agree but then again I dont watch every game so I could be wrong.

Welbeck will never score a hat full of goals he just isnt prolific. When Giroud returns where is he going to fit in? I'll tell you where between the 75th - 90th minute

Arsenal have been terrible this season but that hasn't stopped Sanchez to 3 double figure hauls this season. He would be the only Arsenal player i would consider long term. And by the way, Sanchez forced the error for the 2 goals against Sunderland. He's the only player who continue to run after the ball even when it is a loss cause. Bit like Saurez

PS: Yes Welback is truly awful

OK I'll give Sanchez credit that he did force those errors but the fact that 2 happened in one game is rare. He wont play Wes Brown every week 🙂

I really am tempted to go Siggy - Chadli

really makes sense I think. Chadli is due another big game and has a villa side shipping them in with no Hutton and Senderos and then Stoke and Hull.

Swansea have Everton, Arsenal and Man City. Just think this is the time to swtich?

I think you are right. Chadli is in a better position to outscore siggy ove the next few weeks.

But, in three weeks time siggy has a great run of fixtures. How much value will you loose if yon sell him now? Could you get him back in three weeks time?

      1. Fader
        • 11 Years
        11 years, 1 month ago

My selling value on Siggy is 6.4 (his buy price is 6.8)

so Chadli is 6.4 to buy so I would lose 0.2m on this swap. I think Siggy will go down over the next 3 weeks though which would make it 0.1m and who knows, Chadli may go up...

I could find a way to get him back in yes, I'm going Berahino back to Sakho soon which will give me 0.2m

        What you think?

Having that massive GW8 has proved a blessing and a curse. Great to get me up the ranks, but now I feel I'm playing with fear, not wanting to fall back to where I was, whereas before I was making fun transfers, now I'm here with 2FTs, not wanting to change a winning pack.

Or maybe it's just because I don't own ADM or Fab that I've got the fear. Considering removing Sterling which would mean I'm without any of the top 3 owned mids. Could go so disastrously wrong so quickly.

        Kyle Walker backwards for Christmas,
        Across the Irish Sea,
        Kyle Walker backwards for Christmas,
It's the only thing for me.

        I've Kyle Walker sideways,
        Kyle Walker to the front,
But people just look at me,
And say it's a publicity stunt.

        Kyle Walker backwards for Christmas,
To prove that I love Spurs.

Fantasy Football Scout daily hot topic

    Gameweek 10's best differential

Which low ownership player is going to explode with unexpected points this week?

I have a feeling one of the Newcastle cheap midfielders is going to do well - Sissoko perhaps.
