Our attempt to get the better of Paddy sees us call upon a couple of in-form midfielders with plum home ties this weekend, whilst we also place our faith in the Hammers’ top scorer as struggling Villa pay visit to Upton Park.

First up, we turn our attentions to St Mary’s as Southampton prepare for a home encounter with Leicester. Dusan Tadic opened his league account in front of his own fans in Gameweek 8 and we’re backing him to do the business against a defence with a single shut-out to their name this season. Paddy are offering 4/1 on Tadic to score and the Saints to keep a clean sheet, and with Ronald Koeman’s side having conceded just once in front of their own fans to date, we fork out £3 on the Serbian to come up trumps.

Next up, we move to the Lane, where Spurs play host to Stoke on Sunday afternoon. Nacer Chadli notched his fifth goal of the campaign in last weekend’s comeback win at Villa, and with their tails up after that one, we reckon Mauricio Pochettino’s side will deliver. With Paddy prepared to offer 6/1 on Chadli to score and Tottenham to keep out their opponents, we part with a further £3.

Finally, we place out faith in Diafra Sakho for West Ham’s home match with Villa. Sam Allardyce’s outfit have already seen off the likes of Liverpool and City in recent outings and the summer signing has been pivotal to those performances, scoring in each of his three Upton Park appearances so far. Paddy are offering 14/1 on Sakho to score two or more goals and the hosts to keep a clean sheet, and bearing in mind Villa have netted once in the last six, we’re convinced enough to make this our bet of the week and throw our final £4 their way.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to Paddy Power, you can take up any of these odds and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up on this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally, of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

Eriksen vs Siggy is killing me. Who on earth do I bench?! Or do I transfer 1 out for a -4!

Even though he was taken off last week? And does his 60 mins midweek persuade you he will start? 0 assists is worrying versus siggy home form

He was my only player to fail me last week he owes me some points.. He was having a poor game I guess it depends on how he's playing in the first 45.. I hope Kane start he will have a goal scorer to aim for

He's so ineffective out wide. Can see Lamela playing in the hole with Townsend and chadli either side with no room for Eriksen...

What do you guys think about Lukaku, will he play this GW.
He was dropped last GW and Etoo didn't play in EL, I'm afraid Lukaku might be warming bench again...
I would have to sell him for a -4 anyway and the standout option from players I can afford would be Roonpig I guess... (No ManU players in my team)
Considering all this and maybe some additional info I'm not aware of what should I do?
    Thx!

I sold Lukaku for Sakho this week. Sell him, IMO. He looked good in EL though and Demi has him as starting but Eto didn't play so Lukaku might get benched.

Lukaku has been playing with an injury which has meant time on the bench. I understand he's past this now and I would think he'll get more regular starts. In any other season I might have him but there are lots of tempting cheaper forwards this season.

    Blink! vs. Member's Area Stats

In the book Blink!, Malcolm Gladwell talks about how experienced people "just know" things at first glance (e.g. an art expert recognizing a fake).

In his comment on page 1, RaspingDrive who is phenomenally ranked #31 overall in the world and has generously shared some of what he thinks has propelled him so high this season points out one of the keys for him is watching the games and picking up on which players he expects to start performing well soon.

So what do you think? Can you get more out of watching the games or from digging into the stats? Or how would you break it down?

    For me, I think:

70% watching games and gut; 30% stats

Although, most oft he time you don't watch all the games, and that's where statistics have the advantage. + Comparing players in different games.

        35/65 then.

I've watched very little PL this season - I record MOTD but usually end up not watching it.

Gone from 1.75m to top 1k with no red arrows ( until this GW, no doubt ), so for me it's about using the comparison tables and staying with the form teams.

I chased TV last season, reaching 110m by Xmas, but it soon became apparent this season that making money was much more difficult to achieve.

Starting with a cheap defence helped - especially as most of the 'big teams' have found clean sheets hard to come by.

Keep you busy for the morning replanning Mull. Frustrating when that happens.

    This is me...

    Forster.
    Wisdom, Baines, Chambers
    Tadic, Adm, Fabregas, Siggy
    Sakho, Aguero (c), Pelle.

    Subs. Gilks, Bruce, Marney, Naylor.

    So... NO Sanchez.

Should I do Tadic ➡ Sanchez for -4pts or let it rock 🙂 ???

Dunno if I'd want to get rid of Tadic before Leicester at home. I've got Bertrand but I'm getting rid after next gameweek.

May as well leave it now Evs, Tadic could easily outscore Sanchez this week.

I made that swap this week for a hit, I think with his rising ownership and him being the focal point of the Arsenal team, he's becoming a big risk NOT owning.

I regret selling Tadic, and would love to have him for LEI but Sanchez HAD to come in. I have Pelle so that should cover or go beyond Tadic's points. The Serb hasn't done much apart from the explosion against Sunderland...although this might be the one where it comes again!

      I'm not really helping am I 😆

      Do it, IMO.
      Set on Aguero captain?
