As we brace ourselves for yet another international break, we turn to Saturday and Sunday’s fixtures and delve into the data in our first members article of the week. We assess Southampton’s chief creator and main frontman as the points start to dry up, cast an eye over Chelsea’s penalty box predator, Man City’s talismanic Argentine and Newcastle’s recent defensive displays as the clean sheets keep coming for Alan Pardew’s men.

I may struggle to sell Pelle. It's two years since I picked out Benteke for an entire season to much mirth and laughter on the site...Pelle is the closest I've seen to Benteke in all that time, I just knows he's gonna keep on going, not in an Aguero way but enough to be a great season pick.
-
Fixtures turn in GW13, don't fancy a switch to a Bony or similar priced rival
-
Not really. I just know he's going to be a patience pick. He's actually a bit rubbish, just like Benteke was, but he's having so many pops at goal he'll just keep rolling along.
-
Come on now! Bentekkers is another level!
-
-
-
He's class.
The GW13 fixtures aren't defensively difficult either.
MUN are shite
Ars are defensively poor
Mci are defensively poor. But the best of the 3. -
you could be right
-
I don't want to take him out for next week, but with Ramsey somehow still in my team, Pelle has to be downgraded for me to afford Sanchez...
Walcott is another option, but I don't think I can wait the other 78 weeks until he gets 90 mins. -
He left my team tonight for austin
Going to miss the Italian donkey, he's done me proud-
Did Berahino > Austin...
-
-
Dunno I'm still torn on it. Nobody is a season keeper though. I've put Pelle on notice. We'll see how he reacts vs Villa 😉
-
i'll probably get him back in january for the rest of the season, but december is an awful month for SOU
-
I think next week he'll prove his worth & bag a good brace.
Has all the potential to be that one Saints asset on my team during their bad run
Definitely keeping for next week though, going against Villa is just so ripe
-
-
Poor penalty from Baines there. Panty was horrendous there!!
-
pantamillion diving over the ball
-
Hahahaha Howard innovative goal keeping.
-
You can't lie on the ball like that, surely!
-
I'd love to see an outfielder just drop onto the ball like that then run off.
-
-
@Innsie I was thinking Tadic to Siggy and Clyne to Trippier next week, will consider that though.
Got a plan to get Siggy back?-
I was gonna get Siggy for Chadli after the next GW but if Chadli keeps this form up I don't think I'll be able to make the switch 😛
-
-
People say that penalty wasn't well-taken, but as a former GK i'd tell you thats the hardest and most awkward place to save at. perfect kick
-
*other than top corner or post-and-in!
-
yeah, he had to get down pretty quick, and he's a huge keeper. De Gea would have saved it in some strange way though, maybe with an earlobe
-
Absolutely. Against a great lummox like Panti it's unstoppable
-

Help desperately needed - looking to get either Baines or Kun in my team:
What set up is likely to score more over the season (for a -8):
(1) Tadic / Chambers / Naismith ---> Boyd (as 5th mid) / Austin / Baines
or
(2) Ivan / ADM / Naismith ---> Jaanmat / Boyd / Kun
or
(3) ADM / Naismith / Pelle ---> Boyd / Austin / Kun
or
(4) Current Team 3-5-2:
Szces / Given
Ivan Cyne Chambers Duff Dummett
Fab Siggy ADM Sanchez Tadic
Costa Pelle Naismith
0.0 ITB
None of these moves seem to make sense to me apart from (1) and live without Kun.
I fancy Baines and Austin to outscore Tadic and Chambers but can't see Kun outscoring ADM/Pelle or ADM/Ivan.
Help me Obi-Wan Scouts, you are my only hope. -
Night DZ, hoping everyone played well this week.
How many points did you gents rack up today?-
67 + green arrow
Happy enough 🙂-
Good job man,
nice team btw
-
-
-
Raise your hand if your defence this week was:
Chambers, Bertie/Clyne, Baines
Seems so common!-
Duff instead of bertie/clyne, forster in goal.
So I guess that is fairly similar-
Baines, Clyne...Wisdom 🙁 Duff on bench
-
-
Baines, Clyne and... Duff 😎
-
Benched Duff in favour of Wisdom... 😕
-
I had no other alternatives thankfully.
-
-
-
o/
-
Yeah....didn't expect zero from Chambers though!
-
Yes, but I so very nearly went with Duff instead of Chambers. 5 points lost!
-
Lol
×raises hand -
0/
-
Yeah
-
Yes, with clyne
-
Baines, Clyne and Wisdom - who I selected over Chambers and....Colo *cry*
-
-
are there ANY other Janmaat owners on here??
😎-
Coloccini 😎
-
I have Janmaat in UFPL and in a draft game.
-
-
Omg Pants could have had a pelanty save! Feck!!
-
Lee Mason had a mare this game
-
Chambers, Wanyama and Austin look nailed risers. Sanchez probably aswell.
-
What to do with Fab and ADM?
Want Costa and don't really want either of the above-
Why would you not want either of them....2 of the top scoring mids!
-
-
pva to
A. Dummet
B. Mcnair
C. Yun?-
A. Dummet
-
-
I feel like this weekend has been an examination for referee's.
The Howard & Hart situation are a tough test for the chaps! -
Transfered out PVA today to Trippier. Differential pick. Most crosses from a defender. Next 4 fixtures looking good.
-
could be a good pick
-
interesting...could be an inspired move
-
Hmmm. Was considering james collins, but you've turned my head.
-
That could be a good pick too, but you have to be worried that Tomkins will play a factor.
-
-
I like it, considering Clyne -> Trippy next week.
-
Thanks, wasn't feeling Chambers. Thinking that Burnley will get a couple shutouts in the next 4 (stk, AVL, NEW, qpr)
-
Brill.
-
-
No idea what to do...Just fallen behind Rival:
Jaanmat Baines Wisdom Hutton Moore
Fab Walcott Tadic Siggy Downing
Pelle Aguero Welbeck
(Gamble that paid off - Jannmat, Gamble that didn't Walcott)
1FT 1.1 banked-
Too soon for Walcott
I'd ditch tadic also -
I think you need Costa in.
-
-
Is mannone out in the cold now. Any soundbites from poyet?
-
Why are so many transferring in Chambers? 😕
-
I'd say it was from before the game today!
-
He plays for Arsenal and is cheap. The fact Arsenal leak goals appears to be irrelevant.
-
17 points last week might have helped too
-
I just thought it odd, given that Arsenal traditionally struggle against Man Utd and West Brom (away)
-
-
-
-
Should I be looking for a Forster replacement next week or play Heaton for Forster's tricky three?
-
Heaton
-
heaton
-
-
What do we think of Bojan fellas? Worth a punt
-
no more so than at the start of the season when loads of us had him and quickly ditched him
-
i had a look, burnley home is great, but after that there's only tough games. He's never in the box either, so no.
-
Seriously?
-
Started last two looking more lively and scored.
-
-
-
Jonty any chance of some Full Jonty's this season? I'd love to get the treatment
-
Please RMT lads, assuming I do Welbeck>Austin tonight!
Begovic(BUR)
Baines(WHM), Clyne(avl), Chambers(MUN)
Fabregas(WBA), Oscar(WBA), Sterling(cpl), Tadic(avl), Downing(eve)
Pelle(avl), Aguero(c)(SWA)
Subs: Krul(QPR) // Austin(new), Wisdom(che), Naylor(mci)
Will have 1.5itb and 2FT for GW13-
I just don't like these 3-5-2's. Would much rather have some clear bench fodder.
-
I'm looking to do that with Tadic out in GW13. The next 2 week are about transition for my team!
-
-
-
Feck it, i'm doing Pelle => Austin tonight
gotta live a little, no time to keep pondering about how to spend my FT for the next 2 weeks -
Aguero deserves to play for a better team than Man City...
-
He plays for the champions. Forest fan btw
-
-
dos anyone know if ayoze perez is nailed on?
-
Pardew probably knows
-
-
That's twice this season that Liverpool have been denied stonewall pens + red card at Anfield in big games.... Barry and Cahill...
-
Only the big clubs get those breaks.
-
-
Begovic;
Baines, Clyne, Chambers;
Sánchez, Di María, Tadic, Sigurdsson;
Diego Costa, Agüero, Berahino.
Hamer; Wisdom, Hutton, Albrighton.
2FT, Bank: £0.0m
What would you be looking at changing folks?
