With the fall-out from Sergio Aguero’s injury reverberating around the Fantasy Football community, it’s time to distract ourselves from our return to the drawing board and resume the Gameweek action.

A pair of Premier League encounters await, with events beginning at the Boleyn Ground as Swansea City clash with West Ham. A battle of two in-form teams harbouring top six ambitions, the Hammers go into this match with just one defeat in the last eight, while the Swans’ have also suffered just one setback in their previous six league outings. Fantasy managers will of course be hoping that the 50% owned Gylfi Sigurdsson can help rescue the Gameweek with midfield returns, while Wilfried Bony will likely be auditioning as the potential Sergio Aguero replacement, once the City’s striker’s prognosis is confirmed.

Later today, Villa meet Leicester City in a midlands derby that, while bereft of Fantasy talent, could yet prove of interest with Christian Benteke now presenting an option up top. The Belgian returned to the scoresheet to earn the three points at Palace in midweek and, should he also put the Foxes to the sword, there’s little doubt that Benteke will be another name considered in the light of Aguero’s injury scare.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

If, and only if, it is not a handball first, then it's a red card. Else, it's free kick to Swansea.

They are separate incidents. The referee can't see anything, he has to make decisions that he can.

Of course, I'm not blaming the ref - if he can't see it, fair play. Still, in a perfect world, that's a Swansea free kick, not a RC to Fabianski.

I think it's quite simple. If the red had blown immediately it's a red card. So why isn't it a red card just because advantage had been played?

Even if Sakho scored, it's still a red. Simple rules.

      1. Guidinho
        • 15 Years

I think the ref got the call right, but would have likely been a yellow if they had scored as the would not have prevented the opportunity.

I have to say I have no clue what I'm going to do this week. Sitting with Austin Aguero Chadli and Krulliot.

Aguero will probably go to Rooney. But then it could be Bony or Dzeko maybe.
Will Chadli get his place back v Swansea, a good chance but I need him with Austin just being benched. If not is it worth a -4? The options in that budget are limited.
    Do I need Yaya?
I have Oscar, should I do a -4 to Haz with the cash from Aguero?
    Do I do a week without a keeper? A -4 for a keeper is a waste IMO.

An absolute train wreck of a week.

There will be some with Cesc Austin fabianski chambers Aguero out there. Compared to that I'm lucky, not feeling very lucky with my 22 points and ravaged team.

If goal is scored, then previous offenses stand void.

Having all of Aguero, Fabregas and Austin which will miss next match, and Costa + Janmaat who have a tough fixture and/or bad form have left me with quite a tough situation.
This would force me to play this team the upcoming gameweek.

    DDG
    Clyne-Wisdom-Cissokho-Janmaat-Jagielka
    Downing-Yaya-Oscar
    Costa- Aguero

    Frist bench: King

Janmaat, who faces Arsenal away. Oscar who only played 60 mins last game. Aguero who most likely wont play. King which might get 0 game time and Costa who have had a really bad form recently.

I have 2 free transfers and 0 mil in the bank. My original play was to ship away Costa for Lukaku/Rooney/Bony/Benteke, but transferring my only playable striker this gameweek seems pretty dumb.

I could hang on to both Fabregas and Aguero and hope that they will return next week, or trade one of them (probably Aguero if he is expected to be out more than 2 gameweeks). How does this look?

    A) Fabregas + Janmaat > Ramsey/Sterling/Eriksen + Clichy
Pros: Free up some fund, Improve my defence, get 4 starting midfielders. Can keep Aguero if he returns in 2 gameweeks.
Cons: Might want Fabregas once he returns. No other midfielder have delivered as constantly as Fabregas, Still have to play 541 with 1 striker that haven't delivered lately.
    B) Aguero + King > Bony/Benteke + Sterling/Eriksen
Pros: Can play 442 next week. Can keep Fabregas .
Cons: Want Aguero when he returns, still have Costa. Will be hard to do mayor transfers until next wildcard activates if the price difference between players in the team is low.

Would love some help with how to sort out the situation! 🙂

tl:dr Got Fabregas, Aguero, Austin and Costa which could need to be transferred away, how can I deal with the situation?

I wouldn't do any of those transfers personally. I don't think that team is so bad for next week. So gameweek you throw out an 11 that isn't overly impressive and hope for the best. I think next week is that week for you.
