A disappointing Gameweek 15 finally comes to its conclusion this evening as Southampton brace themselves for the visit of in-form Man United. Louis van Gaal’s side roll up to St Mary’s on the back of four successive wins and will be looking to take advantage of their injury-hit hosts.

Despite the loss of Angel Di Maria to a hamstring complaint, United will be confident of another victory after Wayne Rooney recovered from a knee problem late last week. The Red Devils skipper has scored in each of his last two league appearances and has the chance to stake a claim as a possible replacement for Sergio Aguero in our three-man frontlines tonight.

Robin van Persie, Juan Mata and Marouane Fellaini have all been amongst the goals in the last two matches and have the platform to cement a place in Fantasy managers’ thoughts ahead of Gameweek 16.

For the Saints, Ronald Koeman faces a tough task to steady the ship. Southampton have lost each of the last two without finding the net, and with the likes of Morgan Schneiderlin, Jack Cork and Toby Alderweireld ruled out, a ninth clean sheet of the season looks hard to come by.

The misfiring Graziano Pelle – still owned by 22% of Fantasy Premier League managers – attempts to score for the first time in seven Gameweeks this evening, whilst the inconsistent Dusan Tadic may struggle to improve upon a record which has seen him blank in 10 of his 14 league appearances.

Hazard and Yaya, mainly for fixtures. But Sanchez has suffered from Giroud's return and the resulting reshuffle.

So, is this the right time to play the wildcard? After this GW, I will have only 9 players available, because of injuries and suspensions, including Chadli, whom I wanted to sell originally.
I have 2 FT, so in theory, I could solve it without playing the wildcard. But I feel, it would be pretty risky (silly). To play, or not to play it, that is the question.

    Krul - Heaton
    Baines - Chambers - Clyne - N.Taylor - Yun
    Fábregas - Sánchez - Sigurdsson - Chadli - 4.2m Benchwarmer
    Costa - Aguero - Austin

This close to January WC save your other WC for later in the season when you'll need it just as badly all over again. Don't waste 2FT, especially when it can get you 11 out.

        OK.

        Positives:
I need to get rid of Aguero anyway, so I am committed to -4.
Rivals will likely be taking hits as well to offset my own.
Yaya takes set pieces, is more secured of game time and if he hits form he could be great
No great alternatives up front for any money.

        Negatives:
I am not really convinced by Benteke this season yet.
        Toure is expensive
8 points is a lot to claw back.

        I dunno.

    Not convinced by Bony
Swansea have lowest final third touches
They have second lowest in box
And are 4th worst for goal attempts
Only positive is good fixtures coming up (only Villa and Man City are better per the ticker)

Whereas Benteke is a good differential in a team on the up.

Can't argue with the stats, but after watching Swansea it does seem that every one of those goal attempts/touches etc. involves Bony. He could have had 3 or 4 in just the last week.
