The last match of a quick-fire Gameweek 20 takes place at White Hart Lane this evening as Tottenham entertain London neighbours Chelsea. Mauricio Pochettino’s side will be desperate to avenge their 3-0 reverse at Stamford Bridge early last month and welcome their visitors in fine form, having dropped just two points in the last four matches.

Up against a defence with six clean sheets in eight, though, the home side face a tough task. Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen are the dangermen here – both players have served up four goals and two assists in their last eight, with Eriksen edging it for bonus by ten points to nine.

For Chelsea, John Terry will be looking for a third goal in four appearances in what has been a favourable festive period for the Blues’ skipper. Eden Hazard goes into this one with a goal or assist in each of his last four, though Cesc Fabregas has been the league leaders’ most consistent performer on the road, with returns in seven of his ten away appearances. Up front, Diego Costa’s underlying stats remain strong in spite of some limited recent returns – he’ll be looking to notch on the road for the first time since Gameweek 11.

The team news offers few surprises from the Chelsea camp as Cesar Azpilicueta is recalled at left-back, while Oscar and Willian return in midfield for Mikel and Andre Schurrle – Cesc Fabregas will switch to a deeper role alongside Nemanja Matic, then. Spurs make three changes in opposition – Danny Rose comes in for Ben Davies at left-back, Kyle Walker is recalled for Vlad Chiriches on the right and Nabil Bentaleb recovers from illness to replace Benjamin Stambouli in the middle of the park.

Season a bit of a disaster so far, Kane benched about sums it up.

    What's the thoughts on Falcao?

    I'm thinking of doing

Costa and Downing to Falcao and Cesc for a -4 for next gw.

Looking for a differential option and Falcao seems to be in better shape, form improving and good fixtures.

I think his points are well covered by Haz and Cesc. Then it comes down to if the striker you replace him with is a better points scorer than the mid you take out.

Like Suarez last season, or Aguero/Hazard this season? Can you afford not having a highly owned, in-form player who has good fixtures?

          • 12 Years
          11 years, 4 months ago

He's a bigger thing in one way: he's dirt cheap. He made a great differential, because he allowed you to have an excellent team, but unlike Aguero, Suarez, Hazard and others, everybody, regardless of what other players they have, can also have Kane. So absolutely everybody will have him.

It's not meaningless - there's the issue of captaining appearing now. There are always some points to be gained.

The decision was logical, but I really wish I had Albrighton instead of Downing (for a week) and was forced to play Kane. This way we were punished for having a deep squad.

True. Only one rival had him fielded and that's because he had a crappy team with no choices. I am the victim of having too good a team! Benched about half as many points as I fielded.

You can only make the decisions based on the info at the time and for me Kane v chelsea or Siggy v QPR was a close call but chelsea conceding that many goals is a freak result you can't account for. It wasn't a bad decision just an unlucky one as far as I'm concerned.

In the 14 games that Eriksen and Chaldi both started, Eriksen has scored 57 points, or 4.07 PPG.

In the 6 games that Chadli hasn't started, Eriksen has scored 42 points, or 7 PPG.

Hazard, Sanchez. Mane, Siggy, Boyd (might get someone better)
