Easy to say in hindsight but Burnley scored two at the Etihad so doubling up wasn't a no-brainer.
All depends on your FPL aims. If your main goal is to finish as high up as possible don't worry about doubling up just the players that you expect to score highest and if it doesn't work out just live with it.

It has taken me 3 seasons to realise the best thing to do is not make unnecessary transfers only do it if you have injuries, don't try to get in this weeks vogue player over a season it will pay off. Its not completely without merit, mainly because he provides a decent option for WK27. For me it was between him, Moses and Puncheon. (i picked Puncheon)
