Got a free big bet to use over the next week.
Odds need to be greater than 1.50
Would Southampton @ 1.55 be a good bet vs Swansea?

    WC activated 😀

    Panti • Krul
Terry pva • bellerin • wisdom • wolscheid
    adm • sanchez • hazard • sterling • colback
    kun • giru • kane

Thoughts? Pretty template which i dont mind...food for thought as i still have my initial WC left
    - Going only with foster till gw32 then activate WC..save 0.5m. got pva for sland fixtures
    - most ppl here want a saints def but i am def not keen for that
    - will bench hazard terry kane for gw27, colback comes off the bench and has a good fix
    - could rather choose Giroud + colback >> Pelle + walters..potential rotation headache?
    - keep or ditch sterling? thats the confusion
    - i currently own clichy which i bought at 5.3...so keep him? relatively nailed on

Think you're wasting a valuable Arsenal slot on Bellerin. And a lot of money on ADM.

A look at the fixtures and Walcott's burgeoning form suggest treble Arsenal front line is the way to go.

hmmm, i never intend to have 3 arsenal attackers in my lineup so the slot argument doesnt bother me.

Yeah, adm is a tough one but being a united fan, silva doesnt do it for me...my initial plan was hazard oscar terry..i could still do that and tranfer oscar out before the blank BUT the problem with that approach is
        - Plan was to bench kane/hazar/terry in gw27 but save my gw27 transfer...and do 3 transfers in gw28 for a hit to bring in austin and 2 other spurs players resulting in 4dgw players 🙂
        - If i go with the oscar plan and then transfer him out for gw27..wont be able to save the FT and hence will need 2 hits to get 4 dgw players

You will be running into trouble for the blank week 27 presuming you will be benching Terry Hazard and Kane. You will need all your squad therefore you will be relying on Bellerin to start that week, you will also between now and then have to use a transfer on Eriksen and Yun out, personally I would look elsewhere other than Yun to give yourself some breathing space

Not really. Plan for GW 27/28 now using normal transfers. Save the other wildcard till around GW 34. Fixtures shift then, there will be some blanks and DGWs from the FA Cup semi-finals and it will help to know where teams are in the table going into the last 5 games.

He's clearly the long-term option at CB, and probably better than Cahill right now. What would you need to see to bring him into your team?

I think this is key. Even if he doesn't start every week, if he doesn't have 20-minute cameos, then you could start him and rely on auto sub on the days he doesn't play. At his price, that's probably a good use of a slot.

I have him and played him.

But I think many teams have 3 premium DEFs plus 2 cheaper options, one of which is PVA. Many have Terry, Bertrand, Koscielny (or similar) - in that situation you would probably bench PVA. I think it's easily explained tbh.

So just because you made that decision it's logical and mine isn't? Okay

Here is some logic then. chelsea have failed to keep a clean sheet again the current top 4 this season. Burnley are one of the worst in the league

The question was, please explain why you'd bench him. Correct me if I'm wrong?

I've explained why it's easy for people to bench him. They have Panti in goal, they have other good defenders, and Burnley has scored 9 in their last 4 v Man City, Newcastle, QPR and Palace. Teams that are as good, if not better, than Sunderland.

That's it, that's the answer the guy wanted. People need to make decisions every week. You got yours right this week, you'll get it wrong others. Hindsight is the only way you'll know what was correct.

the no brainer part was for those without Panti

I did mention those with Panti should not have doubled up then, in this case starting terry made more sense but doubling up didn't

Yeah. I didn't say you didn't make a logical decision by the way. I meant no-one does something for a laugh, and you could rue decisions in future too when they seemed to make sense before the event.

If PVA was my only Sunderland option of course he'd play. Sometimes the double is only needed when you're desperate.

I played JT because he's scored in a few games and I'd be watching it. Coloccini who got a clean sheet and was on TV, and Phil Jones, who was home to Leicester, with Panti in goal.

I have Alexis so PVA will come off my bench hopefully, so I'm not bitter. You wanted a reason, I gave you a reason.

if you had panti you might have spread the risk, given how good terry is and how crap cities def has been, you could have argued it was a risk to bench him...... very easy with hindsight now.... 'definitely only one choice' but i dont think the decision was that simple

I think it was a case of people drafting in a WC team with 5 strong options for last week. I personally had every defender playing at home and could have made a case for any and all of them. Hindsight is always pretty easy.

With Panti becoming the template GK, people wanted to spread the risk. I couldn't decide between him and Coloccini. Sanchez being a major doubt stopped me worrying a bit.
