We delve into the Gameweek 23 data this evening in our first members article of the week. Liverpool’s flourishing attack, Southampton’s misfiring frontman, Angel Di Maria’s eye for goal and Eden Hazard’s worrying home form are all on our radar.

Selling Sanchez lets me have this team of benching headaches....

    Foster/Krul
PVA, Hutton, Naughton (3 way rotation) + Bellerin & Terry
    Hazard, Silva, Sterling, Downing, Caz
    Aguero, Giroud, Kane

3m in bank for Giroud > Sturridge for example

Don't think I can take the stress of not having Sanchez (c) for LEI. Wouldn't go anywhere near Downing on WC.

Had Downing for ages. Could keep Sanchez, do Downing > Elia or Boyd and bench and switch Giroud > Sturridge

Kurt Zouma could be one to watch for a double price rise this week for anyone on WC looking to flip a player for some cash. Only has 15,056 owners in total and was brought in by 2,612 today.

FISO and FPLstatistics have him at 20-30% but I don't know what he started the day on. He managed to slide from 5.0 to 4.6 since the start of the season despite only 4,492 transfer out over the first 21 gameweeks so it shouldn't take much to move him??

I'm not an expert on how value works but I have seen players rise unexpectedly this season and I definitely see him going up once and hopefully twice this week. I'm 0.2 off the team I want - I have Santi and am going to sell when he goes up again - so am really hopeful something like this comes off.

Cheers, interesting. Still not convinced. Could so easily be Cahill next week.
      Selling Cazorla for whom?

Yeah I'm not convinced either, i'M suggesting Zouma might rise twice before the deadline so just get him now and bank 0.1 on Sat morning.. wishful thinking though probably

Selling Cazorla for Oscar so my 3 Arsenal will be Walcott, Alexis and Bellerin and 3 Chelsea will be Oscar, Terry and Hazard..

This is the kind of move I'm looking for...(won't happen though, surely. There are so few double risers this season)

    2. Pasqualinho
      • 16 Years

I'm afraid that for low ownership players it's much easier for them to fall in price than rise. I'm sorry to say but you'll be lucky to get one rise out of him, let alone two.

Santi will defo rise again by weekend.

Agree about the rest of them. I can't sell any other mids/forwards as I want them and have value locked in so can't get in someone like Eriksen who might have a chanve of going up.

Bellerin might go up too but I want to keep him. Didn't realise players went up in value much slower than they went down.. meh!!

I don't know, I like that team (with Silva not Sanchez) apart from the forwards.

          Go Kane and upgrade elsewhere

            I can do
            A)Rooney > Sturridge, moses > Walters
            Or
            B)Rooney > Kane or a cheap striker, moses/puncheon > to any mid below 10mln

I would get giroud, but I don't really want to triple up on arsenal attack just in case I want to buy a defender from them.

SCOUT PICKS CHALLENGE - GAMEWEEK 22 FINAL RESULTS

I keep apologising but I'm managing to keep up for the most part! GW23 results will be up tomorrow night as I try to make sure I'm back, but for now here is GW22 results...!

    1st - Aliminator (76pts)
    2nd - Mookie (65pts)
    3rd - Walsh & MB10 (60pts)

with Tibbles, Chickenwithpeas (59pts), Milanista and Morior Invictus (58pts) extremely close to getting in the points! Unlucky guys, and better luck next time! However, what an outstanding victory by Aliminator - absolutely smashed it!

FFS Scout Picks & Differentials scored 63 points combined, and thus Aliminator and Mookie have gained an additional bonus point each.

    This leads to another (of various) shake ups at the top of the table, and we have the league currently looking like;

    1st - Mookie (15pts)
    2nd - FFS Scout (13pts)
    3rd - Aliminator & Sticky Mockwell (8pts)

with Walsh, Marian Kuna Guero and Milanista lurking behind on 7 points.

Mookie keeps overtaking the Scout Picks one way or another, but I have a feeling GW23 may be the Scouts' victory considering the players they have in their picks. Until tomorrow evening folks...

*** Note: Thanks to Billy Gilmore, I'll be trialing a new spreadsheet over the next few gameweeks which should make my job a lot easier. Please watch out for new instructions which I will try to highlight. ***

I was thinking. Would it not be cool and more interesting for fantasy football if there was a limited number of managers that can own each player? Eg only 1mln ppl can have agüero at the same time?

I reckon this would bring more diversity into the game rather than ppl all having very similar "template" squads.

    1. 32chickens

interesting a midway point between template boredom and megadraftitis

I just feel it gets quite boring sometimes when ppl have the same strike force of agüero, giroud, Kane or something like that. This rule would force ppl to invest in players, bring them in earlier to beat other ppl to them and just make the game harder in general.

A lot of people talk about a draft on here, I've no idea what they're on about, but that could be interesting / unfair

Its a bit like NFL. I reckon ppl are just scared of this making the game more difficult, but I think it would be something they'd enjoy.

Bad calls in my WC a couple of weeks ago 🙁

    Baird
    Gardos
    Wasi
    Cahill

In terms of priority to take out, I presume the order would be 2, 1, 3., 4 ?
