What to do with the latest news about PVA?

    Jakupovic – Pantilimon
van Aanholt – Coloccini – Wollscheid – Clyne – Zouma
    Hazard – Sánchez – Silva – Boyd – Cazorla
    Defoe – Agüero – Kane

2 FT, £1.8m in the bank.

    a) Sell PVA
    b) Sell Zouma
    c) Sell Defoe
    d) something else?

    Cheers in advance.

Good fixture this week. Nailed on. Useful part of a defensive squad going forward and a perfect home/away rotation with Wollscheid. No-one sensible would expect to play a 4.3 defender every week. Lots to like.

    Krul
    Fonte, PVA, Bellerin, Naughton
    Sterling, Sanchez, Cazorla, Moses
    Aguero, Ayoze

    Subs: Terry, Hazard, Kane

    1 FT, 3.2 itb

    A: PVA > Dawson
    B: Save

Plan next week is Sanchez/Caz + Ayoze > Eriksen + Austin, either for free or for a hit depending on above transfer.

Hi everybody, I hope the DGW permutations aren't doing people's heads in too much! I'd be really grateful if you could please RMT:

    Panti / Krul
    Terry / Bellerin / Clyne / Wisdom / TVA
    Cazorla / Mane / ADM / Shelvey / Hazard
    Aguero / Defoe / Kane

2 FTs, £2.2m in the bank.

I was thinking of keeping TVA and shipping out Wisdom for one of Wollscheid/Dawson/Naughton. Any suggestions?

I have two FTs - if I use one of them this GW, does that mean I will be bumped up to two FTs next GW?

    Thanks a lot. 🙂

Yup. I've taken Sunderland and West brom as my back 6. Reason being, Pulis is a clean sheet master and Poyet likes to defend deep. It is wiser to spread it, but I believe having this would give a better odds of points. It has really helped my rank this season. Captain will most definitely be Aguero as I firmly believe he'll come out with at least an assist out of Anfield.

Don't know. You'd think the comment from Poyet means he'll be dropped unless the opposition formation suits his style of play, so no good long term?

Does that mean Poyet has to hold off on his final team until he knows the oppositions team set up? Can he do that? Or are both team sheets submitted at the same time (I'm presuming they are). Go easy on me here if I'm missing something obvious... 😉

No, it means he is considering 3-5-2 this weekend. That's basically it.

Got other issues to resolve so sticking to PVA. He has done OK so far this season so could quite easily play this gameweek and get an assist. No need to panic. Long term he is an issue though especially when you look at the clean sheets they have had without him playing.

Keeping definitely, don't see the need to sell as it would just mean I'd have to take a hit next week.

Hmmm... there is that. Just have no idea what to do with Baird. If he goes it is for a hit. I will keep PVA, -8 is not an option at all.

  20. KoloColo

What to do with this lot? 2 FT's & 0 ITB.

    Foster
    Naughton - Clyne - Bellerin - PVA
    Silva - Sanchez - Cazorla - Downing
    Defoe - Aguero

    Kane - Hazard - Terry

Was going to get rid of PVA, but seems like he might play now, and only option is Haidara.
Should I still get rid, or anything else to do?

    Thanks!

I'll be having 10 players playing this round .. what transfer to make??

    Foster (Ospina)
    Wollschield/Naughton/PVA (Alderwield/Terry)
    Boyd/Gil/Silva/Sanchez (Hazard)
    Giroud/Aguero (Kane)

Thinking of dumping Terry this GW .. for who tho?

Is this the week to do something bold with transfers? I have 11 starters already assuming PVA plays however Giroud is possibly under threat of rotation and Silva has a tough away fixture. I'm considering doing something a bit mental and using both FT's to move them on. Perhaps even Hazard could be sold? Anyone out there considering doing something drastic?

I believe your choice should relate to what you want to achieve.

If you are leading a ML by a mile - no need... (my case)

If you want to keep a great rank - no need...

If you want to make serious ground and possibly climb well up the rankings, this may well be the GW to do it. Many will not field 11 or even 10 and already have taken hits, the timing is excellent.

I want to finish as high as possible so I'm considering taking a chance. Whether this is the week to take the chance though is also debatable. It might be more worthwhile to have 2FT's after the blank and DGW to mix it up then.

          • 13 Years

As I see it the DGW players are seriously limited, Kane / Austin / Eriksen - perhaps Chadli or a Spurs DEF.

Most will be going for a combo of those. Perhaps use a FT this week on a "gamble" and then have 2 for DGW?

How about WHU - could smash Palace? I don't see any other "stand-out" games that one could take a spin on.

I also had a look at the top 10 teams and those guys are mostly well set not to take hits at all.

I'm not interested in the DGW either. I'm basically going to get Eriksen and thats it. Might save the other FT and optimise its use the following GW when most people will only have 1FT to use.

Sticking to my plan of keeping 2 FT for the DGW, but I can see your point - it's often these odd weeks before 'bigger' GW's where people switch off from the present and start thinking of the future - opportunity for the brave, for sure

Changed my mind. I'm thinking a lot of the moves I could make are too short term eg Rooney. I'm thinking its better to build a stronger overall squad first in preparation for taking some chances later, perhaps the week after the DGW.

Lose PVA then - despite his fixtures he is no longer nailed, so clean him up again while you have the chance.

Wait though - see if there is any news on Sturridge, he limped off a bit last night and played over 90 minutes......could potentially start from the bench?

Morning chaps - even though I own PVA and Baird I am thinking of making my transfer Azpi ---> Bertrand this week.

Is that crazy or seem ok? Azpi not nailed and I would want a Saints defender ASAP anyway.

    Krul
    Jones - PVA - Bellerin - Baird
    Sanchez - Walcott - ADM - Boyd
    Aguero - Defoe

    Panti - Azpi - Hazard - Kane

hi guys, shall i save or take care of either Gayle/PVA for this GW:

    Krul
    Haidara/Jones/Clyne
    Boyd/Cazorla/Sanchez/Silva
    Kun/Defoe/Gayle

    Subs: Pants - PVA/Haz/Terry

If both PVA and Gayle miss out then i only have 10 players (btw pls don't ask me why i still have Gayle)

    Possible options:
    1] PVA --> one of Naughton/Wolly/Reveillere
2] Gayle --> FWD max. 5.4 which is only crap i.e. Naismith, Barnes
    3] Save

    1 FT, 0.4 ITB

Poyet on PVA's chances of wknd return: "If Man U play a diamond then he’s very important because there’s space down the sides. We’ll see."

What should we make of this?
He's not going to know what formation utd are playing, so how can he decide based on that?
