Three middle-aged beards collide to talk Fantasy Football. Hipsters? Sadly, as Jonty so rightly points out, we bear a closer resemblance to a trio of David Brents.

A clean-shaven Ryan joins us to complete the quartet and boost the credibility: the Kiwi contributor wakes fresh and ready for action to mull over the Gameweek gone, the week’s transfer bandwagons and to look forward to the weekend’s action.

Around those regulars, we brace ourselves for the latest bout of quizzing from you, the community. We tackle the potential of the Palace form guys and the unlikely contribution from Hull and Leicester, as we cast an early eye on the looming double Gameweek.

The ScoutCast was beamed out live on Wednesday via a Google Hangout and you can view the full video recording on the player below.

Alternatively, for the polished, low-fat audio version can be found via this link or the first player.

Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and Google Plus page to keep informed of when future ScoutCast hit the screen.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

If WBA somehow keep Palace quite this week those Palace assets are going to depreciate very quickly as fantasy assets.

Praise was the wrong word. Showing off and disguising it as "I'm not sure, what do you think guys" is a more realistic assignment.

You don't like my team, that's cool. I asked for reasons why.
If you aren't willing to give your reasons then why post on my thread?

You crave attention by responding with silly comments most of the time. Bit childish if you ask me. But whatever floats your boat.

Random question in a slow deadzone.

How important is someone's grav to how you perceive them on here?

For example I went with a paranoid and depressed android with the brain the size of a planet, which I felt reflected me well (apart from the paranoid and depressed parts)

Has anyone changed their grav and you feel differently about them or is it more about first impressions?

Place a huge amount of weight into the grav. For example, if you have a grav of Bono, I probably will like you less than if your grav is anything besides a grav of Bono 😀

This is a good question. I have recently changed my grav and its freaking me out.

For some reason the caricature ones freak me out. Think there is a Wenger one somewhere.

      Just my story.

I started posting with the "flying Bergkamp" grav. But then I realized that another poster is using the same grav, and he's apparently the more familiar guy around this part, especially during Matchday. So I changed it to another Bergkamp image that suits well with my association with Team Netherlands in previous tourneys.

tbh I still think the old grav suits me best. Plus some other posters like NTFM said the older one is better.I will probably revert back to it after this Cricket tourney.

I generally keep my grav more or less the same. It would seem wrong to change it. I do view peopl based upon their grav's I think. I didn't like Muppet when he changed his.

Gravs do affect the way I view other posters. But not as much as their words/personalities. I mean, after you read enough posts from a few certain guys in particular, who I am this close to naming but won't, you get some insight into the fact that they are pretty much huge a$$holes.

I often wonder if I should bring back my original Jack Lambert grav. The one with the pissed-off looking linebacker with his two front teeth missing. I just started to wonder if it was appropriate to have an NFL dude's image on a non-American football site.

Had started with an Everton Blue colored kiwi, but then decided it needed some cricket flair, so I included a picture of Martin Crowe. Seemed like a good choice to dedicate our efforts to.

Now you can't tell that it's a kiwi fruit in the background, though. :/

Well, to go more directly to your question on the player, I'm not sure there is any way that any of us will know how much game time he is going to get in the next 3 matches. For me personally, I'm sorry I brought him in before last gameweek. Looking back on it now, I wish I had gone with Fabregas instead (already have Ivan and Hazard.)

yes next 3 nobody can predict.

but this gw, I think it's reasonable to have some idea.

definitely it myself, talk about going on a whim.

Even this GW, who knows? I couldn't understand that last half of your post, but for what it's worth, I'm feeling far too much iffiness with Remy at the moment. I may end up holding onto him for this GW and the double, but I'm not sure how much I'm going to like it.

I'm from Ohio originally. In college, which was a fair time ago now (mid-to-late 1990s), I studied abroad in Spain and Ecuador. Hit up Peru while down in S. America. The scenery down there in the Andes and along the Pacific coast, at least from what I saw, was amazing indeed. I've long wished to visit Chile, as I picture it to be a beautiful country with some good people on the whole. Have a friend in Peru who I'm really thinking about trying to link up with to get back down there, if not for a little bit at least. I'm familiar with Valparaiso, Chile. I do some travel-related work on the side, and from what I gather, it's probably the best city to visit in the country. One of them, for sure. Where you headed when you return to the States? Cali or something like that?

Cool man, I'm sure Ecuador has it's fair share of gems, Quito always looked like vibrant city to visit. Yeah the Andes is gorgeous, definitely one of the highlights of Chile is how narrow of a country it is. You have the pacific ocean practically next door to the Andes, makes for a great road trip if you get the chance. Yeah, Valparaiso is very touristy, it's safe and you can never run out of things to do down there.

I'm finishing my sophomore year actually, transferred into a college in nyc.

Yeah, I loved Ecuador. So much packed into such a small country. I was studying in Guayaquil. Not as lovely as Quito in terms of setting and such, but I liked it anyways. Hot and busy and all that. One of the things that Chile tempts me with is just what you said....that narrowness that brings the mountains so close to the sea. Enjoy your travels, man, not to mention your overall options and opportunities. I think I'll always find it hard to settle, because there is always an interesting and alluring horizon out there that I have yet to experience. And not getting to experience everything leaves me unhappy. Well, not everything. There are some things/experiences that I can do without.

I be in Ohio, USA. Have moved all around, sometimes to foreign lands, but this is where I was born and bred, if you will. Am back in my homeland for almost two years now, but not sure why, as I don't tend to feel like I belong anywhere exactly. Or perhaps better said, I wish I could be everywhere at once. It's an odd thing. Anyways, I don't know anyone here offline.

Don't know anybody offline, but my evening banter puts me square in the middle of the DZ. Can't handle the daytime flurry. One comment, no response, on to the next page. No discussions. No thoughtful replies, or three pages have flown by.

Murrays limited shots on target are a worry. Logic says he won't keep scoring every time he hits the target. Yet the fear of not having him this week is worse! Since when did this game go by logic?!

So Mane tried to take the penalty? Firstly, darnit that he didn't, and secondly could that have been why he was taken off early?

Second run in with Koeman for Mane not doing himself any favors. I remember when I actually had the boy on my squad he was a surprise on the bench because he was late for practice or some such thing. He certainly seems like he needs to mature a bit.

Going off the "Set Piece Takers' tab on here he is 2nd for free kicks/corners to Mirallas who which hasn't been playing recently (not sure if this absence due to injury or not)

Yep. Mirallas has be injured and is known to steal both corners and direct free kicks. Lukaku has taken over penalties so Baines is not the same pick as before.

REPOST: Please object, if you wanna sace me from a fail--

With a WC in hand, many seem to face the dilemma to pick either YAYA or Bolasie for one week.

I'm not quite sure myself, so I looked at the stats:

Yaya had 17 attempts to Bolasies 10 over the last 6 games. Although maybe (considering his more defensive position) predictably he only took 5 from inside the box to Bolasies 7 in that time.

Yaya averagely played further up the pitch when City had two strikers in the last 6weeks (which will be expected vs West Ham who sit deep). This speaks for the Ivorian but

..after Bolasies amazing performance last GW, I cheked if he played as centrally and as close to goal once before this season, which he did in GW29, when he had another two assists (in a 3-1 vs QPR at home).

Both seem like good options (Lennon has horrible attacking stats, he rarely shoots and loses out in all aspects to the others) but with Bolasies move to a no10 role and proof that he is able to replicate his output in this position (3 goals and 3 assists in 2 games there) I advice to go with the Congo International. He's in form, playing for the inform team with an inform striker and squaring up is WBA, the team that has conceded 12 and therefore, the combined highest number of goals in the last 6 Gameweeks!

Also Palace have scored 14 (just one less than leading ManUnited) to Citys poor 9 in the last 6games, which also underlines Bolasies better chance to assist - also backed up by his 3 assists to the 0 that Yaya had and by his 11 created chances to Yaya's 7...

All of a sudden, I think, it's quite obvious which way to go.
Although I like to spend my money, Bolasie is the clear favourite to score and assist this coming GW

If I didn't have a WC, I'd be going for Bolasie, but Yaya is such a perfect one-week punt (in that sense that you wouldn't really want him for more than 1 week, but he could go mental.)

I think Yaya have shown he can go mental on a much more regular basis than Bolasie have.

form over class for a one week punt though, imo. Both good options, probably not much in it. For me bolasie points out as a slightly better option.

Last 3 gameweeks were yummy for Fabregas owners, and if he is back in that kind of form, then dandy. The front end of the season and his time at Arsenal show him to be a good asset overall. Certainly, for the DGW he is worth considering.

is there no other mad man here considering Schmeichel as his go to keeper for the season? Has a lot of saves in his locker and there's has good fixtures on paper. Wont keep CS's but atleast you wont feel bad playing him looking at a blue home fixture next to him in the ticker 😆

IF you already had 3 Soton so could not get Davis, did not want to spend more than 5 million, dint want to get Ospina down the line cause you want 3 Arsenal attackers, wanted a keeper this week to cover for Myhill(and the rest of the season probably) would you then go for Schmeichel? 😆

I was in the same predicament. Went with Mignolet with Myhill to cover me this week. That way I get the double for Liverpool week then arguably one of the strongest keeper options for the rest of the season, and buying him now keeps cost down before he rises.

Domestic fantasy cricket way harder than footy, have to dig around to find good info and what players play the relevant formats. Love it though

Just keeping, even while wondering what made me get Sturridge last week.
      PLEASE DON'T BUY HIM.

I edited one a little to come from the UAE. I added sand where the grass was and put a robe on him using a picture editor. Not sure which one he was originally but very pleased if you thought t was an original.

    Hazard Silva Eriksen Cork
    Aguero (C) Kane Murray

1 FT and 2.3 ITB (WC next week)

Bellerin -> Coleman and play over Dawson?

If you are gonna pop the WC next week I'd rather do Cork to a Palace midfielder or Lennon. Higher points potential there I think.

Bolasie has been playing centrally in the 10 role of late with Puncheon back out on the wing. Does that change things?

I do not think that Pardew will persist with that, and if anything they will take turns in those two positions moving forward.

How are people preparing for GW37. I've tried planning ahead and we only have 3 transfers between 34 and 37. This pretty much means that the defence you go into 34 with will be the defence you have in 37, assuming that most transfers will be in the midfield and attack.

I'm thinking of holding Sanchez and Giroud through the blank, playing in GW34 which then allows me to get ready for GW37 with more flexibilty.

    1. Joggers Nipple
      • 16 Years
      10 years, 8 months ago

I am holding Giroud through the blank.

If i had enough cash i would get Sanchez back. dont think i will.

      Hold Giroud
      Fabregas to Ozil
      Sterling to Ramsey

      or
one of those mid moves with Mingloet to Ospina.

Holding one of Giroud and Sanchez is enough imo and the Sanchez cash gives you options

      1. rickytoso
        • 14 Years
        10 years, 8 months ago

If i lose Sanchez i'll lose enough vlaue that it will be hard to get him back for 37. I'm going with Ramsey, Sanchez and Giroud (at least that is the plan) for 37, and hoping Sanchez could be somehting of a differential.

        1. Joggers Nipple
          • 16 Years

Fair enough, Sanchez, Giroud and Ramsey looks the best 3 for 37 if all remains unchanged

I've only got Ramsey from Arsenal ATM, so it will be Giroud in for a striker + 1 other.

      Probably Sanchez.

Leaves 1 transfer for something else.

      GW 34: WC
      GW 35: Save
GW 36: Use 2 FT's to bring in Giroud and Sanchez/Ramsey
      GW 37: Not sure.

Will you need to keep money in the bank for this? If I went down that route i would need a cheaper team in 34, probably Terry would be sacrificed for a Leicester alternative so that I had money in the bank to upgrade Sterling and Hendo.

Yup, if price changes don't go my way though I would have to downgrade Aguero to Giroud. But as its only for 2 GW's its not a terrible move.

GW35: Remy and xxx to Giroud and Ozil

      GW37: Skrtel to Kosc

I'll probably stash Ospina and PVA on my bench on my WC then bring in an Arsenal mid and Giroud and maybe another Sunderland player if they show any form. Otherwise I'll probably get Benteke

    6. McNulty
      • 15 Years
      10 years, 8 months ago

Im trying my utmost the keep Sanchez through the blank and Chelsea game (benched) as he will be hard to get back at that price and ot seems likely people will get in Ramsey and Giroud because of their price instead. Both good options too but Sanchez has top scored over the season PPG so hes the main one I want, especially if his ownership is lower.

GW35 against Hull on Monday night when few have him could be the difference between a red and green arrow.

i'm hoping holding Sanchez might prove to be an end of season differential. Also lots of people not keen on playing Arsenal players against Chelsea, but Giroud and Sanchez could score well against them.

Cheers.. Thinking of going with Number 2.
That would leave me with this team before a WC next week.

        Fabianksi,
        Ivan, BAINES, Clyne
        Silva, Eriksen, Hazard, Siggy
        MURRAY, Aguero, Kane.

        Subs. (Myhill), Rose, Boyd

        I have Giroud at 8.5m (now 8.8m)
Worth Keeping him and going with Bolasie over Murray?

Keeping Giroud is a good option because it enables you to stack up on Chelsea and Liverpool midfielders for the DGW. You'd probably keep Silva as your 5th mid.

If I keep Giroud I ll have to switch out Siggy or Rose maybe to get in Baines/Bolasie.

      Going to go with Baines/Murray.
I can get Giroud back in with the WC if need be.

      Thanks again.

      Neither.
      But if you must,it's sterling.

Who would you have then if neither?
I will also have Terry, Haz, Henderson & Moreno for the double

I have those four currently too and I will transfer cesc in for this gw and skrtel for dgw.
I believe that liverpool are likelier to keep a cs than to score.
          think chelsea will concede.

Henderson doesn't offer too much fantasy potential when Gerrard is on.

At this rate they could easily end up getting one game up top each, which would make neither particularly appealing dgw picks.

This probably. Maybe Cout plays false 9 again as well

If Sturridge is fit, I'd captain him...but then again, he can't even play 2 consecutive games.

Is 8 dgw players too much for a wildcard team?

no coz chel liv can gradually become arsenal and the the other 2 can be benched

Pointless using the WC really if you're going to hold back on them.

I think Baines is the better pick and is still #1 penalty taker

      can't fault goalman.

Nabil, would appreciate your advice since we're on the matter in a way

      A) Naughton > Baines/Coleman, play 4-3-3
      B) Sanchez > Silva, play 3-4-3

DEF + MID this GW is

      Myhill
      Clyne Ivano Dawson
      Eriksen Hazard Mane (Ameobi)
