    I'm tempted to do this for my third striker spot...

    GW36 - Benteke.
    GW37 - Wickham.
    GW38 - Benteke (c).

    😎

      You mean spend three transfers to bring him in, out and in?

      Nah I wouldn't mate

        Nah, I've already got Benteke. Got four transfers left this year. I'll be bringing in Ramsey and Koscielny for GW36. Then I'll have one for GW37 and one for GW38.

      long as you aren't forced into other transfers, that seems like a good enough plan

      I currently have a relegation-zone slot for N'Doye/Wickham... not sure what I'll do with it for 38... seems far away now as I chase a 54 point gap in my ML while trying to help my cricket team

        cheers Nabil. I would play Schmeichel also, but worried that most of my rivals have one or 2 Southampton defenders...more of a blocking strategy if anything

        or just play my own game

    Hi all,
    Current Team for this Week..

    Schmeichel
    Terry, Schlupp, Skrtel
    Fabregas, Sterling, Hendo, Hazard,
    Kane, Aguero, Giroud

    Hey guys,

    my front 8:

    hazard, fabregas, sterling, henderson, ramsey
    aguero, kane, vardy

    A, Save FT (But whom to bench?!)
    B, fab + sterling ---> sanchez + cork
    C. fab + sterling ---> ozil + larson

    if I save my FT who would you bench?

    Cheers!

    @SARJEANT,

    I'm considering another route for DGW37 planning (Option C) -

    GW35 - save
    GW36 - Skrtel & Sterling -> McShane & Sanchez
    GW37 - Vardy -> Giroud and have 5 DGWers.

    Currently favouring this one - only if Giroud bangs in the goals from now on though.

    1. The Sarjeant
      • 12 Years
      10 years, 7 months ago

      Yeah, that looks good too.

      I've already got Pantilimon and Giroud. Next week I'll have Ramsey + Koscielny. Just don't know what to do with my free transfer for GW37, so I may just do Benteke >> Wickham and have an extra DGWer.

        Good moves too. Wickham is interesting, but then 2 FTs in GW38 would be exciting too 🙂

    2. Shifty
      • 12 Years
      10 years, 7 months ago

      I have Giroud at the moment and this is what I'm thinking too

      GW35 - save
      GW36 - Skrtel & Sterling > McShane & Sanchez
      GW37 - Silva > Ozil/Ramsey

      1. NABIL - FPL otai
        • 13 Years

        very, very similar. And I like it.

        wait, I thought you already got McShane?

        1. Shifty
          • 12 Years
          10 years, 7 months ago

          Nope went with Baird in the end, needed some coin just in case for future transfers and price changes. Just one of a few bad WC decisions 🙂

          Actually I got my order wrong. It's

          GW35 - save
          GW36 - Skrtel & Sterling > McShane & Ramsey/Ozil
          GW37 - Silva > Sanchez or other of Ramsey/Ozil

      1. Holmes
        • 12 Years

        Chances of missing current GWs pts increases. Just because I wanted to do Kane to Giroud this week, I went with Vardy over N'Doye and didnt do Bertrand to Terry.

        1. NABIL - FPL otai
          • 13 Years

          Point taken, but tbh that's a pretty poor planning. Berty should've gone for Terry regardless of the plan.

            • 12 Years

            Then I couldn't afford Kane to Giroud this week?

        2. The Sarjeant
          • 12 Years
          10 years, 7 months ago

          Yeah but Vardy's got a decent fixture this week.

          I actually went reverse and didn't plan/think enough when I was on my WC last week. I got Benteke in for a punt and didn't want Vardy for just a couple of weeks and didn't know who to then transfer him out to. Now I'm think I could have got Vardy instead and then got Wickham in for the double Gameweek.

        I'm not either, but taking a hit to get them out doesn't really make sense unless I find a clairvoyant that knows which midfielders will have goal involvement in at least two goals this weekend.

          NAh, don't play it safe. Live a little. Enjoy the 50pt lead.
          Pointless getting Ospina and filling a Arsnenal player slot when Panti has a DGW anyway.

              Yeah, but that's done and dusted now. You already have one Arsn in Ozil. I'm not a bg fan of him unfort...Giroud/Sanchez will be owned my most come DGW 37.

              Vardy makes sense, but who will you bench then? That's the problem with your team - spread of cash not ideal.

    GW 36 : Hendo -> Ramsey
    GW 37 : A punt

    b) GW 35 : Remy -> Benteke

    GW 37 : Clyne -> Kosc

    1. The Sarjeant

      1. Koflok
        • 13 Years

        Yeah both have punt really. Benteke have a good prospect but Giroud is the obvious choice.

        And with A I will have 0m ITB so I don't really have much option for punts.

    Nigel Pearson is such a strange guy, he seems to look for confrontation then is completely hopeless at it.

    He accuses the reporter of being an ostrich then suggests he isn't flexible enough to get his head in the sand, then claims he is flexible enough. So Nigel is the ostrich?

      To be fair, Nigel and Leicester have been getting ripped apart by the media all season long.

      Some of it was warranted and some of it wasn't justified so I can see why he got so upset.

      Could he have expressed his grief in a different way? Absolutely. There was no need for that long rant, he should have just stopped at the ostrich part because that was hilarious. It's tough for people to control their emotions sometimes. Happens to all of us.

        Frustration at the media or any other criticism is totally understandable. Not being able to articulate his argument or make any sense is bizarre though, and entertaining 🙂

      I think he's just one of those misunderstood intellects whose mind works too fast for his speech center... he knows what he means, but all gets mucked up by his brain speed...

      Too much made of how managers perform in presser when what matters is how they get their team to perform on the pitch... and he's doing pretty good in that department.

    Schmeichel
    Terry Ivan Skrtel
    Hazard Silva Sterling Henderson
    Kun Giroud Kane

    Davis, Albrighton, PVA, Baird

    A) Save
    B) Sterling > Ramsey

    If A, plan til GW37 is:

    GW36 - Skrtel + Sterling > McShane + Ramsey/Ozil
    GW37 - Silva > Sanchez or other of Ramsey/Ozil

    What are you're plans for your Chelsea assets after GW35, when they most likely will have secured the title? I guess it's likely we might see some more rotation, and maybe a more attacking side when Costa returns. My current plan is to downgrade Ivanovic, to allow Sanchez for the DGW. Terry and Hazard probably staying, not too many FT's left.

      think they see out the season very boring-ly.

      if Chelsea beat Palace, then Hazard > Sanchez. already doing Costa > Giroud this week most likely. only will keep Terry

      1. Pompel
        • 11 Years
        10 years, 7 months ago

        Shipping Hazard could be an option. Will make it easier to also get Benteke in addition to Sanchez. It's sensible to hold off bringing in Sanchez I think, to monitor this GW if he has sufficient form to justify the price tag.

            Easier to afford , but I think there will be more points in Arsenal midfield than defense.

      • 12 Years

      I think the old guard will continue playing. Rotation will probably between

      Oscar/Willian/Cuardado/Ramires
      Ramires/Mikel/Zouma
      Luis/Azpi,
      Zouma/Cahill
      Possibly Ivan/Azpi

        Thanks - I think I'll hold on to Terry at least. But focus on Arsenal players + getting Benteke or other potential differential. Benteke maybe not to be a "differential" very soon, though
