The Fantasy Football Scout Rate My Team Surgery

Please use this article to post your Rate My Team (RMT) queries and any questions regarding team selection and our panel will join the discussion to provide input on as many as possible.

The surgery will open run from 9pm until 11pm.

Here’s some quick house rules to read before you post:

  • Please do not spam post – we will scan the pages and try to address as many queries as possible. Spamming your post will get them removed so please be patient.
  • Please be as specific as possible with questions. While we’d love to give an opinion on your entire squad, it’s more effective to sum up your current dilemmas and questions regarding your current selection.

    Hi all, thanks for the replies earlier.

    I have 1.5m in the bank and here are a few options I was considering this evening:

    A) Upgrade Sakho-->Pelle (Have Mane already)

    B) Upgrade Francis-->Azpilicueta

    C) Save the money to make future transfers for Aguero easier

        I looked at the fixtures for a last time and thought the same.

        Just seen Mirallas is a doubt, you think he'll play? He's a rotation risk at the best of times.

      Howard? Fixtures not great after 1st game. I had Wanyama a lot last season and got a lot of 1's (as always got a yellow card) so never again for me. Has high ownership too so if people start shipping him out then value going to drop. If you downgraded Howard to a 4.5 then you could swap wanyama for a 5.0 midfielder. Team looks good to me otherwise.

    GK: Ruddy / Butland
    DEF: Koscielny / Cedric / Francis / Huth / Coates
    MID: Hazard / Walcott / Mane / Ritchie / Ki
    FOR: Rooney / Kane / Deeney

    Thinking behind it:

    GK: Rutland: seems as good as GK rotation as any (I always score poorly from GKs and often pick the wrong one so happy enough with this!)

    DEF: 24.5 so quite cheap. Might get a CHE / MCI defender as season goes on

    MID: Tried to go for goal scorers. Too scared to not have Hazard for the first week. Prefer Ki to the 4.5 options

    FOR: Rooney a good early pick and first week captain. Will probably make room for Aguero in a GW3/4 restructure! Keeney rotates well with Ritchie. Kane - a bit of a punt but might still be value at 9.5. Also easy to transfer out for Benteke, Pelle depending on form or downgrade to someone cheaper to facilitate Rooney to Aguero
