We delve into the Gameweek 3 data this evening in our first members article of the week. Up front, we assess Bournemouth, Chelsea and Liverpool’s lone forwards, whilst there’s plenty to analyse in the centre of the park, as we take a look at some standout statistics from Villa, Palace, United, West Ham and Norwich.
I’d like to say at the outset that a significant number of you had replied to my post or ‘’thumbed it up’’ and have been very generous with your comments. I thank the community for that, and while that was not the intent of the comment/post, it’s a nice feeling nonetheless. I had also intended for the post to be a one-off, just a spontaneous expression of what was in my head at the time – but some commenters had valid points w.r.t team value, static vs dynamic teams which don’t quite fit into my theory, and therefore this post is an attempt to expound a little on those thoughts. Also, the joy of sharing/giving and all that. Again, a long post possibly awaits and I would ask you to pardon my indulgence.
Let me start off with the dynamic vs static team philosophy. I guess the question is something to the effect of, how does one separate knee-jerkism from rational considered transfers or even rational considered transfers with a points hit. For example, how would my theory account for ivanovic vs kolarov, two or even three weeks into the season. How does the theory account for mahrez, silva, gomis, Wilson (on their way up), and ivanovic, rooney, hazard (on their way down but seemingly ‘’high quality’’ per my definition). And also new, potential bandwagons: I,e pedro, Wilson, kolarov. Lets take these one by one. Oh boy this may be a very long post!
Mahrez: After gameweek 1, when Mahrez scored what he did, my thought was – how did I overlook this guy so completely in my initial squad selection – he did not even enter my head. This I account to oversight. Any player can and must be evaluated on multiple parameters:
1) The team he plays for and therefore the fixtures
2) Personal form and team form
3) Importance to the team, if an attacker: how central/involved is he in the play, and also to a lesser extent is he on penalties, corners, direct and indirect free kicks etc.
4) My favourite parameter: inherent quality of the player
5) FPL consideration: price, and therefore how he affects team structure, balance, coverage etc
Mahrez to me ticked every singly box: right fixtures, great form, but MOST IMPORTANTLY: outstanding quality for an outstanding price. In my mind, I’d pegged mahrez as a high quality player last season when I saw him play for Leicester, and that just comes down to player evaluation and football knowledge. Some use stats, but I would say use stats in addition to watching a player. Mahrez is an outstanding attacking player. His close control, shooting ability are terrific, and he plays in an attacking position where he is integral to the team’s play. The fact that he ticked all these boxes and additionally, drafting him in meant squad balance and an enabler to an Aguero or some other heavy hitter, meant to my mind he was a no brainer. This is not a case, in my opinion, of knee jerking, but of sound transfer strategy.
Case no 2: Rooney. Great fixtures to open the season, central to the team, proven FPL quality etc. I had Rooney in my initial squad, for the reasons above. After the first two games of the season, however, to me it was clear that Rooney was not central to Man Utd’s attacking play, and man utd were simply not generating the kind of chances through their attacking play that suggested a glut of goals. Shipping him out vs Newcastle therefore, while still a risk, was a sensible decision based on observation of team play, team dynamics and so on. Also, with the chance of price drops coming into play, and the fact that him scoring huge would not affect you because so many players had transferred him out, meant he was less of a risk.
Case no 3: Hazard. I still have him in my team because of one factor above all else: he is one of the world’s best attacking players, possibly in the top ten, definitely in the EPL top two-three, and therefore as high quality as it gets. There is no such thing as a season keeper, but I had brought in Hazard with the intent of keeping him as long as he was not injured.
Now lets examine the cons: Chelsea’s stuttering start, his own form, the arrival of Pedro. What one needs to evaluate over time is whether Pedro actively changes the dynamic of the team into a three pronged attacking machine, with costa spearheading hazard from the left and pedro from the right. To me, the answer is unclear as of now and needs more data. My quality quotient is making me keep him, but if over time I see a shift, I might ship him out. My reasons for not doing so this early is that it’s too early to tell, Hazard has too much quality, and until he is proven to be not central to the team’s play, he should be given the benefit of the doubt, with seasons worth of points history behind him.
Case no 4: Pedro: Proven overall quality, in a potentially dominant side, but still a new entrant to the team, the league, the playing style. I would say getting him in for a hit is an example of a bandwagon, simply because it’s too early to judge, but getting him in as part of a strategic free transfer that allows you to upgrade (lets say) Huth to Kolarov next week (again for free)? May not be a bad option. My own view is I will wait on Pedro, to see how integral he is to the team’s play.
Gomis/Wilson: middling quality but more of budget enablers: no hits to bring them in, but part of thought out transfers, sure.
While I could go on with multiple other cases, I hope I have conveyed to you how I approach transfers. I am not a big fan of hits, where the inherent unpredictability of a player’s performance on the day due to my discrete events theory, makes the gamble an against-the-odds proposition. But an Ivan to a Kolarov on a free (Ivan’s lack of form, Kolarov nailed on ness etc) is not a bad option.
I believe it’s important to read into a manager’s philosophy and comfort when evaluating player decisions. City have been on a roll for the last ten games essentially with the same 4-5-1 team that includes Aguero and Kolarov. It’s important to read into tactics: how Pellegrini abandoned the 4-4-2 approach towards the end of last season, and opted for a lone striker in front, and kolarov gave them attacking verve and defensive solidity. Therefore, why would he abandon it? Therefore kolarov becomes a lesser risk proposition.
Take Walcott on the other hand or even Oscar or Willian, which are interesting cases going forward. Each of these are good quality players (I actually think Oscar is very good going forward and WIllian an outstanding overall player). But each of these have no guarantee of playing time, 90 mins match in and match out. Therefore I would avoid these entirely, even if Oscar comes on next match and scores two goals and trolls everyone.
Mistakes I’ve made and how I’ve learnt from them: I had Milner in my initial squad, but want to remove him now because even though I consider him high quality, he plays too deep in Liverpool. I should have seen this earlier. Rooney vs Silva: I went for form over my instincts, and have removed rooney already, will get in Silva this week.
As for price rises and falls, I would say that in the above philosophy, I try to manage price rises and falls as best as possible, with minimal hits.
Phew. Hope this helps.Crikey, maybe the audience was more sober last time 🙂
Before I spend the time to read and digest this - what are your FPL credentials? Thanks.
no rmts, which is nice
Good enough for me
True. I just read their first post and I agreed with pretty much all of it.
Makes my Mahrez post look like a haiku!
Mahrez keeps scoring,
Good fixtures, takes pens, nice hair,
Get him in your team.
Basically:
There were some players, with hindsight he should/shouldn't have bought
Don't by players who won't play 90 minutes every weekMahrez won't play 90 every week.
It's a no from me
I missed the first post. Next time I have 15 minutes to spare I'll go back and check it out 😉
I think what you are elaborating on is the single most important skill in fantasy football which is the ability to distinguish between a long term trend and short term randomness. Does the holding midfielder who scores a brace in week 1 become a good option? No. Does a proven quality asset become a bad asset after 3 blanks? Not unless something has changed in their role or team. These are the things that separate casuals from good players.
Playing for long term underlying trends will mean the randomness will average out in your favour over time.zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Some good things to consider both here and in your first post. Cheers.
Another fantastic post! Thank you for taking your time to write this
- Backing The Home Team
Okay, so I have uncovered the reason for my poor start.
I'll be the first to admit that I'm very much a 'fixtures' man - More precisely, a 'homer'
When there is a tough decision to be made on who to start in my squad, I usually opt for the player playing at home.
Also, when making transfers, I usually look to the players who have a decent run of home fixtures coming up (finding those teams with pockets of 3 home games in 4 is my particular favourite)
Anyway, so far, out of the 30 Premier League games this season, only 6 have resulted in home wins.
That equates to 20%.
I did some brief research on how this compared to previous seasons, and also to see whether there was any great fluctuation between % of home wins between seasons.
So, the previous 5 seasons:
2010/11 - 47.1%
2011/12 - 45.0%
2012/13 - 43.7%
2013/14 - 47.1%
2014/15 - 45.3%
As you can see, the percentage of home games won is pretty consistent between seasons, with an average of 45.6%
I am confident that my "always back the home team" policy will come good eventually...Good research that. 6 wins in 30 games does seem extremely low
That stat has been plastered everywhere. It is a surprising stat though
Good point.
But as someone who started Jenkinson on two GWs, I beg to differ 🙁it should come good. The number of fixtures played is not really a big enough sample size to be significant. It could just be that the fixture list has brought up a big amount 'away win' bankers so far this season
I'm sure that's contributing to many people's struggles, particularly in defence where you tend to back the mid-table teams when they're at home.
The results have been extremely unpredictable with only a couple of the big teams kicking off. Auto-complete teams rule the roost. Can't keep happening though!
I agree but this reminds me of 2 seasons ago when the 'pros' just couldn't catch up with the 'casuals'
it does, doesn't it? Scary stuff. Trying to go more obvious with my picks for now until I see some semblance of normalcy.
Silva, Wilson in this week. Going with the flow.Silva - check
Wilson just transferred out looks like I'm re transferring in!
Yep - less than 8% of this season has been completed - there is still over 92% of the season to go! Just be patient everybody!
nice stats to back up my base assumption. good to know the start to this season is an anomaly.
2014/15 Teams scored 45.48% of their total FPL points away from home. Highest was Crystal Palace (51.72%), lowest was Southampton (39.67%)
By player type (looking at last 38 game weeks - excluding newly promoted teams)
Goalkeeper - Overall 48.52% - Highest WBA (63%), Lowest Southampton (40.88%)
Defender - Overall 44.04% - Highest WBA (53.81%), Lowest Spurs (40.04%)
Midfielder - Overall 47.57% - Highest Crystal Palace (54%), Lowest Newcastle (40.10%)
Forwards - Overall 46.54% - Highest Arsenal (59.70%), Lowest Southampton (33.20%)
So, defenders at home gives the biggest points advantage. And some teams are more immune than others to Home / Away point differences with some cases of teams scoring more points away than at home.

Believe me now Balders?I do, I'm sorry!
Oviedo 4,4M?
Yep
He's first choice to replace Baines, ahead of Galloway & Browning, isnt he?
That's a good point actually. Hadn't considered him as worthwhile, but with Galloway injured and him back in action, those on a WC could do worse for a fifth mid. Reverse OOP, but still plenty of attacking potential.
Still no McCarthy. What does he have to do :/
Think his transfers have been mostly by those on wildcards, so might not contribute to him rising.
Thought it was Everton's Bartley for a second!
Hazard fell 🙁

Tekkers.
Well, you were unshiftable on Depay last week ...
This is a good point actually, you were in love with Depay.
Still am but fixtures. Depay could change my mind tonight.
But the fixtures didn't change...
Was a decent one week punt. You lot are right though. Will ponder. Thanks.
Too early for one week punts, imo.

- Full Backs Are Hogging Bonus
Sorry for the long post. I’ve been looking at the BPS from over the last 3 gameweeks. In short, fullbacks have been thriving from the new system, scoring more bonus points each gameweek than strikers. The bonus points have been split between defenders and midfielders, perhaps if this trend continues, a move to 3-5-2 with premium fullbacks would be key to a successful season? Now maybe it’s down to the fact that strikers aren’t scoring well yet, in fact, they haven’t scored more than midfielders in any gameweek so far. Goalkeepers seem to only be rewarded if they make a number of saves in a tight game. It is still early days. But for the moment, make of it what you will.

Interesting, thanks for sharing this.
I get the feeling this could be to do with the rise of 4-5-1, the number 10 playmaker and wingers who cut inside. Certainly there are a handful of Mids across the league that run their teams. Hazard, Sanchez, Depay, Payet, Siggy last year, Wijnaldum, Coutinho, Shaqiri soon to be, Eriksen etc.
The only team that doesn't have a fulcrum midifielder are Everton who have played with roving wingbacks for years. If FPL winner this year won it by 4-5-1, that would shake the beliefs.
4-5-1 in real life
I see. The popular 4-2-3-1.
yes
Yep. I'm taking that into account and considering 3-5-2 as valid option, at least for now until we see the change.
Figure are distorted atm by the amount of home games that have not produced. Hence the heavy bonuses in defense
Thanks, looked that full-backs were doing well but good to see some comprehensive statistics.
19 more bonus for 10 more attacking outputs could there possibly be a link?
Ps not all fbs or cb's are created equal some cb's will do better under the new system and some fbs will also and we need to be smarter than simple analysis like this in order to find them.
Morning gents,
any consensus on Mane's availability this weekend?
Thinking of losing him for Shaq, Afelli (or however you spell it) or even Van Ginkel..He may drop even if declared fit
Him, Stoke lad, or Coutinho.
Coutinho's stats look a little too strong for my leaving him out...Explosion imminent
actually, I can afford Coutinho...
with 4 piece of p!ss fixtures in the next 4 I think Cout has it!
He has a concussion only, so he should be fit, but I'm still selling due to form and the imminent fixture reversal
cheers.
coutinho the way forward? have diouf as stoke representationI'm going for Sanchez
Rumors:
Chelsea have targeted Zenit St Petersburg defender Ezequiel Garay as an alternative to Everton's John Stones. The Argentinian defender has been looking for a move away from Russia with Valencia and Roma among the clubs to have shown an interest. (Daily Mail)
Meanwhile, Everton have set their sights on Tottenham defender Federico Fazio, tabling a £5m bid for the Spurs centre-half. (Daily Mail)
Arsenal are on the brink of signing Russian striker Alexander Kokorin. The Dynamo Moscow striker has been linked with Paris St-Germain, Manchester United and Zenit. (Daily Star)
West Ham believe they can get a deal for Juventus' Italy international Simone Zaza done before the weekend. Slaven Bilic wants Zaza, 24, on a season loan with a view to an £11.5m transfer. (Daily Mirror)
Tottenham winger Erik Lamela is in talks with Inter Milan, his father and agent has confirmed. (Daily Express)Zaza would be great for team names

We should make it a captain's poll!
Can I have more points please?
Press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start in the points section.
Kolarov will do one of 3 things:
A. Get benched when you have coming on for you after a getting a sweet CS and 3 BP.
C. Keeps scoring every game, is the highest defender in points, and makes me look like an idiot.
obviously I'm thinking A or B.lol im not seeing B
B
what the hell? what happened to all my words?
did you use a less than sign?
yup between "insert player's name here"
duly noted, and thanks.yeah it's really annoying..it's a wordpress thing I believe
i will add wordpress to my list of things i hate in my 40th year on earth then. cheers.
time to call it a night, A, get benched when you have a -1 coming on as first sub. B, get a cameo when you have a clean sheet coming on as first sub. C as above.
D, og and red card!
eaten up by the DZ
Im tired but I think there is quiet a few words missing? B is a bit vague? lol 😉
dont worry, it will be C probably!
Kolarov will likely start as long as Zabaleta is out (IMO Pelle won't want two defensive backs) and on his overall form, City's defensive form and the connection he and Sterling are forming, it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Clichy is firmly 2nd choice and used to give Kolarov rests as Kolarov has improved noticeably in his defensive aspects.
That being said, get on board the Kolawagon and make sure to have at least one back-up for your defense.yeah....i have already used my City quota. i hope the Sil-Ya wagon has more endurance over the marathon. i hope. (and think!)
You went Silva-Yaya-Aguero?
yup, Aguero from GW1 knowing the risks but not caring, Silva cause he is magical, and just like the Yaya wagon over the Kolarov wagon.
yeah I had Kola and Aguero GW1 and got in Silva for this just-passed GW
well, go you then!
haha..well getting Kolarov from the start has been my only good decision so far it seems..though my WC last week wasn't half bad..
Kolarov = 23% of my points lol
i have no idea why u chose such an unwieldy, overlong username when u cud honour both graham zusi's dreaminess and the legendary CCR by simply calling yoself Zusi Q
i honor someone every year or two...but one at a time my friend.
Diego Forlan, Mix Diskerud, Graham Zusi. looking for the next hair applicant if anyone has suggestions. please note it has to be flowy hair, don't you dare give me Ronaldo or Neymar.ha. i'm just sayin cos the space afforded our usernames don't accommodate so many letters 🙂

Brilliant, thanks
Nobody from Leics or Watford even get a game?
All of their starting 11 were rested, totally different players starting
Just included Layun for Watford as he got a good few minutes in their first two games
Schlupp got 25 minutes, must have missed himTa
have you checked with Bond? 😉
FFS should try some linkbait type headlines for these articles:

err?
"Find out why experienced posters hate her..."
"Experienced posters have tried to have this table banned"
sorry "Experienced posters are doing everything they can to have this table banned"
Where the hell did that Dodoo chap from Leicester appear from? Never heard of him before yesterday's hat trick.

Morning all, here's my latest FPL article:
http://fantasyyirma.com/2015/08/26/arsenal-defenders-go-awol-and-bournemouths-wilson-hits-a-hat-trick/
Any feedback would be great!Nice article know exactly how you feel I'm sat at 119k overall but still feel like my team should have done better!
Cheers mate, fantastic rank considering how things have gone! It's an eternal problem, I have had mammoth 95 point weeks and been disappointed because I got the captaincy wrong; it's ridiculous logically but it's always a case of "what could have been".
Don't know how many times I'm spent a whole week beating myself up because I captained the wrong player (who probably got a hatrick). All part of the game though.
I think I made a mistake getting Williams over Naughton. Those Naughton creativity stats are good.
Lesson: Look at the stats more carefully before every transfer, and don't assume a player is superior based on a baseline BPS article...I must agree, Naughton's attacking output is good. But I chose Williams for a reason, he is just so very consistent. Naughton is (probably only slightly) a rotation risk, whereas Williams is not. Swansea are unlikely to keep up this attacking football all season, and Williams will keep up his bonus.
True. Williams will probably get more minutes. May be beneficial long term...
- and you haven't even seen the best of Williams, yet.
Whereas, this is the very best that Naughton can manage:
http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/my-stats-tables/view/10212/
I remain very happy with Williams:
http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/my-stats-tables/view/5599/You guys have made me feel better 🙂
Naughton's creativity won't be this good all season, his form will vary, whereas Williams maintains high BPS all season. That's my thinking anyway! I specifically looked for him as soon as the new BPS system seemed to indicate he could do (even) better.
He is currently below his batting average for CBI, an increase of which I am reasonably sure.
7 chances created. 😯
A few more CS and you won't be regretting. Williams got 3 bonus vs Newcastle remember?
Could have been worse. I looked at the stats and decided on naughton. Scout picks confirmed my decision. Last minute change to Williams as someone flagged naughtons red card history. My lesson is if in doubt go for the attacking full back!
Did the same with my WC last week. Was left kicking myself when scout predicted his runs and creativity would lead to an assist. Those bonus points hurt even more... Still think Ashley will outscore him overall though. Only just mind.
I think it's a bit of an overreaction. Don't forget the sample size is only 3 games
Could still prove correct but Williams is very consistentI drafted Williams. Strong bap guy. Plays a ton.
Nice Westwood numbers. In he comes for Fletcher as the most boring WC transfer this week 🙂
Gotta love this article, my second fav just behind the brilliantly written, every time, pre match pre amble.Probably the only GW1 starting player I got right!
A) Sanchez, Ayew, Wilson
B) Pedro, Ayew, Diouf
C) Pedro, Shaqiri, Gomis
Wondering what i get if i splash the sanchez cash elsewhereA
With Sanchez do you have no Chelsea attack?
Would mean no Chelsea players at all.
Costa and Haz both seem a bit pricey, while Fab isn't delivering at all.
Current draft has only 1 Arsenal or Chelsea player
A
Your name
I like C.
Seems fairly conclusive for A, I'll have a think. Was set on Sanchez, until i realised i liked the upgrades i could get from spreading the cash around
I sense hazard is going to explode any second and people will be taking hits LRC to get him in.
i don't think so - even though he is one of the best EPL players. Chelsea won't rely on him as much this year, with Pedro and potentially Pogba added.
Still will score points, but not like last year.
Hope i am wrong, but don't think so.Is Hazard explosive?
Hazardously so
When Hazard explodes all over the place it will certainly make a mess around these parts.
yes. and then u revel in their despair. ain't that what you feed on; tears and broken dreams?
I don't have Hazard or Sanchez but I still feel my team is really strong without them... for now.
Hope Hazard shares the spoils with Pedro if he explodes!
Leicester's chances of top 4? Honestly think they could make it
0%
Could see a top 7
southampton failed to do it for two years and the were really good.
hahahaha
good one...Don't think it is possible, Southampton last 2 seasons was also on form early season, but unable to sustain.
sounds like a good story, but 0%. They can be Swansea though, and there is nothing wrong with that. Stay up, build, keep staying up.
City arsenal n chelsea will most likely earn the top 3 at the end of the season..leaving the last spot for grab. V tough.
Sakho got arrested!? He's in my team! Some people give no thought to the effects of their actions on others!
Injured + arrested, nice combo
hahaha 😀

It gets to hot there in the summer anyway.
101.5
101 pts after three games. I really want to use my wildcard during the international break but I have itchy fingers.
Think I'm going to have plenty cold showers before 11.45am saturday to try and stave off the wildcard cravings 🙂http://fantasy.premierleague.com/entry/63253/event-history/3/
That's my team there if anybody fancies critiquing 🙂Hold off for one more week, you are fine.
Holding!
Rooney to tekkers mane to silva?
I really wanted to have a city midfielder for this weekend but I ended up with sterling as it was between him or toure.
Rooney is the first player gone after GW4 though 🙂
I would WC if i were you.
Why is there a photo of Danny Ings up on the article ?
Robbie Brady no?
😀 I genuinely thought it was Ings lol
Close enough. 😉
Danny Ings looks like Robbie Brady
he loves a big number
270.. The most minutes spent on the bench
Sorry mates lost at bottom of page
Ruddy, Gomes
Kolarov, Ivan, O'shea, Huth, Ward
Silva, Mahrez, Mata, Payet, Westwood
Aguero, Pelle, Gomis
Tasty enough? or needs more seasoning?Too much Chelsea.
lol
Don't ask for advice just to lol @ people especially when they are right
sorry mate, Just took it as a joke.
it had to be a joke Ayew just has something up his ....
how is too much Chelsea right?
Chelsea have conceded 7 goals and 51 attempts on goal (31 of those in the box) in the first 3 games.
That being said "too much Chelsea" when he has only one player (albeit the most expensive one compared with potential returns) is very curt and not good feedback.

Something I wrote, read it if you want, don't if you don't. Would like to know what you think.some intersting views
I like your writing style, its got good flow to it, keep it up 🙂
Thank you, appreciated
Nice read. Arsenal is in need of some more players too I'd think.
Yeah, I'm saving them for this time next year when they still need a striker.
😀 and a world class DM
Haha good point.
Lukaku is looking like a better pick all the time.
Spurs, Chelsea and West Brom defense is wobbly
Swansea won't be that tough.
Pool and Man Utd both at home which suggests goals could still come.
Arsenal away looks like the only real match where they might struggle in their awful run.I like your optimism but I'll pass!
I'm passing too, I can only have one disappointing target man at a time. Just went from Pelle to Benteke and I need to give him the right amount of time to disappoint before going Lukaku.
Lukaku is wobbly.
He's not that good
Lukaku is a heartbreaker. He still needs to prove to me that he's committed to banging in the goals when expected.
I believe Lukaku will do well this season, he's on the juice 😉
I really hope he does. I'd definitely get him in. I think Lukaku's better than Gomis but his form has been too erratic in previous seasons.
he'll have more pace this season, that's for sure. 😉
and now he is 8.2 ...
Mahrez's moment of stardom ended Saturday
Get off the wagon now. What happened?
In all seriousness, judging when to jump off a bandwagon is a real challenge... If he is injured for a few weeks or suffers a dry spell, will people be quick to ditch him? Somehow I doubt it.
I would. Just like how i hopped off Sigurdsson and Downing when it became obvious they were running out of steam.
At those 6+ prices it's ok to wait as these guys will continue to tick over.
I recall the mad Sanchez scramble at 11.2-11.4. Will he won't he start? Meanwhile prices rose and fell every other day.i don't think Sigurdsson and Downing continued to tick over after they ran out of steam midway through the season.
Good point. But have you ever wondered why Hazard and Alexis take a while to get going FPL-wise? Teams ACTUALLY have a gameplan against certain opponents. Hazard and Alexis are both well known of being the most threatening in each's respective team.
Can you name a player other than Mahrez that can singlehandedly win Leicester City a match? No.
So teams will go into the game against Leicester with a mentality of, "if we shut down Mahrez, we'll win or at least not lose."
*Hazard and Alexis go off midseason when teams turn their attention to the inform player for Chelsea and Arsenal*Hmm sorry but I don't get your point here - we're comparing Mahrez to Hazard & Sanchez now?
Don't think i mentioned in my reply that I would hop off Hazard/Sanchez when they run out of steam. We're talking about 2 very different set of players/prices here. There will be another mid price option further down the road and with the money banked in Mahrez, I don't foresee myself struggling with the decision whether or not to sell him if he runs dry.I completely agree with what you said. I guess I should have said "And have you ever wondered..." instead of "But have you ever...." And I never assumed that you would get rid of Alexis or Hazard like you RIGHTLY should with Mahrez.
I compared Mahrez to Hazard's and Alexis's current situation of always starting off slower than other players. Mahrez will struggle now that he's got the league's attention and teams will plan against him in hope of a win just like they are doing with Hazard and Alexis. And I'm not comparing Mahrez to Alexis and Hazard ability-wise but by how essential he is to all three respective teams
Vardy?
No
I can't wait for an excuse to offload and cash in
Especially if you got him at 5.5

Morning DZ, which one to play?
A) Payet (liv)
B) Westwood (SUN)
Cheers!wait for the pressers
For??
A)
Do you still think West Ham can still score goals away to Liverpool when all their strikers are out?
Maybe not but better chance of Payet contributing to a goal than Westwood
Make sense. Cheers!
id play westwood but its 50 50
I think Payet has higher possibility than Westwood to score more points, but I doubt when it is away to Liverpool. So it is really a 50-50 for me as well.
For real? Payet obviously, although I did do Young > Westwood this week and am starting Westwood!
Payet definitely is more likely to score more points than Westwood, but I am not sure now when away to Liverpool, while Westwood will be at home vs Sunderland. I think Payet is more explosive than Westwood, but Westwood is safer. Still not sure.
Be suprised if West Ham can't give Liverpool a game to be honest
Cheers!
Well lads, new to the website so looking for advice, is Kolarov a realistic captaincy choice?
very much so... just put ur vc on a banker
No
i bet u wont say that after the city game ayew...
I will, always stick to my word! Theres no denying the fact that Aguero and many more have better odds of grabbing points
If you're feeling ballsy
It would be a brave man to ignore Aguero this week... but After last week, who knows 😉Watching watford though they seem tight at the back (surprisingly) which is why I'm not so sure on Aguero, and also with watfords solidity they're sacrificing some attacking threat which is why I thought about Kolarov. Maybe too maverick..
No imo. However he is a lovely way of winding others up who don't have him.
Never captain never bench. He's Baines 2.0.
The fact is if he looks a good option in isolation there will always be 3 other City players who are a better proposition.No. I don't think any defender should ever be your captain.
