The final stanza of Gameweek 17 sees Arsenal and Manchester City do battle under the Emirates lights tonight. The Gunners are unbeaten at home since the opening Gameweek but will be wary of a Sky Blues outfit that’s replete with attacking talents.

Although the Gunners rank second for big chances created at home (26), their shot-conversion rate at the Emirates (8.6%) is far from exemplary. Nonetheless, they can always fall back on the second-best defensive record (five goals against) of any team at home. Additionally, the North Londoners chart second-bottom for both goals conceded (13) and second-bottom for shots inside the box conceded (86) and joint-bottom for big chances conceded (17) across the entire campaign – highlighting their defensive prowess.

Man City’s rearguard was exposed with alarming regularity over the previous four Gameweeks. Indeed, the Sky Blues allowed the joint-most big chances (12) and ranked joint-third for goals conceded (eight). On the flip side, they lay claim to the joint-best defensive record in away matches, having surrendered just six goals in seven outings. Only three teams have chalked up fewer away goals (seven) than Manuel Pellegrini’s charges, though, which should encourage those Fantasy mangers who have recruited from Arsenal’s defence.

Need a little advice. 2FT and 0.6m ITB. What moves would you make?

    -

    Butland - McCarthy

    Kolorov - Moreno - Smalling - Francis - Souare

    Hazard - KDB - Ozil - Mahrez - Stanislas

    Kane - Vardy - Lukaku

    -

I am thinking Vardy and KDB -----> Aguero and Alli

The Theo vs Ramsey debate has a key aspect to it though: Sanchez.

Ramsey will undoubtedly be a threat of some kind once Sanchez is back but I find it hard to believe he'll be forward as often when Alexis is there to attack (Campbell doesn't bring that same threat at all).

Theo will then become a rotational striker with Giroud, no?

    1. Ayew Serious
      10 years, 10 months ago

No, Theo will stay where he is

      Ramsey Flamini
      Sanchez Ozil Walcott
      Giroud

      This is correct, no?

Unless Wilshere/Cazorla/Welbeck suddenly get fit, Walcott should still be first choice.

My "balanced" view of past reliability, form and fixtures has given me rubbish points this year - only form seems to matter this year. Team is:-

    Hennessey, Myhill
    Toby, Dier, Sagna, Merte, Zouma
    KDB, Bolasie, Barkley, Mahrez, Stan
    Kane, Aguero, Lukaku

Based on cost/ form I'm thinking (with £2.4m itb)

    Aguero/Stan > Ighalo/ Ozil leaving £3.8m itb

    And captain Mahrez every week

I'd like Alli too but too many Spurs

Thoughts pls? I'm happy to take more hits if neccesary 🙂

    1. HammersFan
      10 years, 10 months ago

I have the same front 3, thinking of getting in Ighalo for kane or Aguero. Then again spurs play Norwich and Cit play Sunderland at home so is it better to sit tight with that front 3?

Guess to mistake was getting in kun to early, should have waited and jumped on the wagon when he hits form with everyone else
