Second meets fourth in Tuesday’s solitary fixture, as Leicester City play host a to a resurgent Manchester City outfit. The Foxes were held to a blank for the first time this season last Gameweek, while the Sky Blues maintained their home dominance with a 4-1 win over Sunderland.

Notwithstanding their 1-0 defeat to Liverpool, Leicester ranked joint-top for goals (eight) over the previous four Gameweeks. They did, however, chart fifth-bottom for attempts (42) and joint-third-bottom for shots inside the box (27), revealing a drop-off in their shot frequency. On the defensive front, Claudio Ranieiri’s unit were perhaps fortunate to only concede four goals, given that they allowed the third-most shots inside the box (39) and fourth-most big chances (nine).

Man City were wildly unpredictable over the past six Gameweeks, recording three wins and as many defeats. The Sky Blues have amassed 10 more home goals (29) than any side this term, yet only four teams have netted fewer times on their travels (eight) than Manuel Pellegrini’s men. In fact, Man City registered just three goals in their last half-dozen road fixtures, so there’s a chance this match-up could be a more attritional affair than many will predict.

    Butland Hennessey
    Bellerin VVD Moreno Nyom Simpson
    KDB Ozil Ramsey Mane Mahrez
    Lukaku Ighalo Vardy

I'm on 2 FT, what should I do? Askes a couple of times before and most suggest shipping Mane but he has Norwich next...

Must say I'm not very pleased with Vardy/Ramsey/Mane in my team but they all face the weaker teams this weekend so... 😀

Did we learn anything from tonight's game? I didn't see it.

Did Aguero play well enough to consider getting?

basically missed an open goal and should have had a penalty. Looked good off the ball.

One thing for sure - I'm glad I watched that match.

When I saw the team sheets I was a little more worried about not owning Aguero but watching the game he's still not fit enough to do a huge amount of damage I don't think. There were a few times he ran onto or for balls and another time would have got them.

Silva also not fit but maybe fitter than Aguero. Didn't have his shooting boots on and was much happier to play the pass. Not sure I want him in my team much longer - at least KDB has an eye for goal.

With Watford up next and being fairly solid I'm happy to leave Aguero for one more week. If he comes through that game plus the break at start of January then I'll look at him for home to Everton.

As for Leicester - they were pretty solid. Will probably play Huth next week against Bournemouth and am still tempted to bring Schmeichel in. I know they haven't kept many clean sheets this season so far but they've stopped conceding as many and have some okay fixtures in next 4.

        Aguero?

Not sure he was that sharp but did have at least one good chance.

To be fair to him, City overall just don't look on it right now, at least away from home.

Was just looking ahead for the 2nd of January matches and I'm totally stumped on who to bench!
My Defence for once seems like a more straight forward decision but my mid/forwards are causing me a headache:

    Arny, Mahrez, KDB, Ramsey, Ozil
    Ighalo, Lukaku, Vardy

Even though Ighalo is at home to Man City, surely I cant even consider benching him!?
Dare I go with Ramsey!? or Even KDB against a often resilient Watford home team?

    Suggestions please.

Extremely disappointed by the Aguero(C) blank. Especially when i sold Lukaku to get him. 🙁

He was playing ok , but Pelegrini is too scared of losing/injuries . Removing Aguero and Silva was an extremely coward move. On the other hand Ranieri gets in Ulloa and sends them attackng.
City will be right sacking Pelegrini. He has no ambition, to cover the amount of money they throw.

Sorry mate, that's rubbish. They both looked partially fit and had very little effect on the game. He may not have done what you wanted in an FPL context but he certainly knows his players better than you do.

Yes he obviously does. The fully fit Bony/ Navas managed to play even worse then them. Not that this is news. The substitution of Silva for Navas makes absolutely no sense. Anyway , he will be sacked at the end of the season latest, so how much he actually cares any more is doubtful.
