This afternoon we reveal the results from the first rounds of both the Fantasy Football Scout Cup XII and Members Cup VI and also roll out the second round draws, with the fixtures set to take place in Gameweek 24.

In the Fantasy Football Scout Cup XI four former winners departed at the first hurdle, with Edmond beating CMIFLFC, Wheato getting the better of Gribude, Hazardous Blue defeating Gooner Dave and The Quarrymen seeing off an Aguero-less Mark.

Among our remaining former winners Jonty (that’s me) will face No Luck, mch squares up to Pienaar Colada, sleepingmaster meets another community regular Oghash, Tdubb05 has an encounter with Frazek, Wild Rover will be hoping for victory over United Come On, while Ninja Fit Saints takes on nicool.

The highest-ranked manager left in the Fantasy Football Scout Cup is Chucky 77 – sitting in 122nd place, he faces a tough tie against Vantablack, who is ranked 6,500 places behind him.

Other notable match ups include a FFScout contributors and moderators derby as Greenwindmill takes on Scoutcast co-host Andy85wsm and Billy Gilmore meets Horlicks esq.

The full Fantasy Football Scout Cup XI results from Round 1 can be found here, while the Round 2 draw can be found here.

In the Members Cup, a couple of both former winners were sent packing, with Jimgranty getting the better of Trigg, while Genovoze defeated Acquafresca.

Rhinos’ tally of 90 points proved the highest score of Round 1 and earns him an encounter with CanTheyScore in Round 2.

Key ties in Round 2 also include former FPL winner Dufflinks (aka Simon March)’s match with chetl1985 and Hasselbaink Forever’s clash with the Members Cup’s highest ranked remaining manager Peadarb, who is placed 556th in FPL.

The full Members Cup Round 1 results can be found here, while the Round 2 draw can be found here.

      Highly doubt he'll outscore Agüero. Although Sunderland at home + bus + no KDB could give you a marginal chance. Definitely make or break

        So, Daniels might not be taking pens for too long. Eddie Howe likes his strikers to take pens. Wilson, then Murray.

          I don't think Murray was the planned taker that match, he just stepped up and felt confident. Daniels holds them until he misses or Wilson is back imo

      he is more likely to keep clyne out as clyne is injured and has also played nearly every minute this season, so has moreno though and both need a rest/ moreno will either get rotated soon or injured

      I think he was referring to his heart and spirit more than his performance. He was ok IMO considering how long he has been out but he made a few mistakes and didnt track Arnie for his run. Klopp wants fighters in the squad. Moreno is a better left back but looks tired

      1. Dr Dream
        • 13 Years

        Moreno is a shocking left back....a good midfielder though. And that's the problem.

          disagree with this. the guy needs a break that's all

    5. Dr Dream
      • 13 Years
      10 years, 2 months ago

      I think it's a distinct possibility as posted earlier.

      Klopp bawled Moreno out the other night and it wasn't for the first time. I feel he's on borrowed time unless he picks up dramatically for sure.

      1. djenzio
        • 11 Years
        10 years, 2 months ago

        as I said above he simply needs a rest. Gomez's injury has left Moreno our only proper left back, sure Sakho/Can/Flanno can play there but that's not their natural position, in fact it's not Gomez's either.

        as below we are looking to sign a new left back, we need one for rotational purposes but Moreno suits Klopp\s style and don't think he is falling out of favour or getting dropped, he needs to be rested more. His pressing stats have been very good and generally has been performing well. One of the top chances created in the league from him (not his fault the end product wasnt there)

        1. Dr Dream
          • 13 Years
          10 years, 2 months ago

          He's a player more suited to a wing back role IMO. I'm not knocking him as a player...just as a full back in a back four. He's too busy at the other end of the pitch as you say.

          1. djenzio
            • 11 Years
            10 years, 2 months ago

            depends who else is playing on the flank with him if they track back too..also if we had a proper centre back pairing and DM his licence to go forward would be greater

            1. Dr Dream
              • 13 Years
              10 years, 2 months ago

              Definitely need a decent and settled pairing at the back.

              Moreno, Kolarov, Janmaat, PVA would all benefit from the system Soton are playing right now. Kolarov gets away with it because City score so many..the other three not so much...If you want raiding full backs of that calibre a team needs to ensure they either score enough with a good striker or play three at the back to cover when the full back goes MIA.

          Depends on his development. Doesn't matter to Klopp if you're 19 or 29, if you're good enough, you will play.

          Plus, it's not that hard being better than Moreno 😛

      I really love Flanno but he needs more time, he has always been such a strong player and it's something we have been missing. he has so much heart and passion as you say but a lot of his tackles were poor and you could tell he was rusty, which is more than fair after 18mths of no football

      If the worst case scenario occurs they can always play in a European week. The league will just have to pay a fine, or more likely challenge it because it's UEFA's international competition that's causing the season to be shortened anyway.

    Westwood -> Payet
    KdB -> Firmino

    For free, leaves me with 0itb and midfield of Ozil Mahrez Firmino Payet Arnie

    Thoughts? Will I miss Silva?

    Hello....can do this transfer now with 0.1m to spare.

    KDB & Iggy -->> Alli & Kun (-4)

    A) Just pull the trigger
    or
    B) Wait for news on DGW and risk not being able to do it with price fall/rise

    So...thinking that if:
    A) DGW25, then just KDB -> Silva and save a trade
    Or
    B) No DGW25, then KDB & Moreno -> Sanchez & Ward (free)

    Sound sensible?

    Is Ogbonna a threat for Collins. Is Reid nailed on considerably more than him and what about his former goalthreat from set pieces?

    What i want know is Vardy or Austin until end of season? Vardy maybe has better fixtures, on pens and definitely plays gw27 but Austin is slightly cheaper and a differential. Please help.
