Concluding the day’s action, Southampton meet head-on with West Ham United at St Mary’s Stadium. The Saints have turned a corner of late – following a five-match stretch that yielded four defeats – and are unbeaten in four fixtures. The Hammers are also enjoying a rich vein of form, having lost just once since Gameweek 14.

Southampton registered the best defensive record over the last four Gameweeks, conceding zero goals during that period. Highlighting their home form and the challenge that West Ham face, Ronald Koeman’s charges outscored their last three visitors by an aggregate of 9-0. Furthermore, the south-coast outfit rank joint-third for goals scored (22) and third for shots inside the box (132) in home matches.

Across the previous four Gameweeks, only Tottenham Hotspur chalked up more goals (10) than the Irons (eight), who also placed joint-fourth for attempts (55). Further bolstering the appeal of West Ham’s attacking assets, they rank fourth for goals scored (18) in road fixtures. In terms of their defensive resolve away from home soil, the Londoners have conceded the third-most shots inside the box (127) and joint-sixth-most big chances (20).

My defence is looking very grim 😀

Bellerin - Dawson - Moreno - Francis - Morgan (sold Sagna earlier today)

Sold Williams for Moreno just before Williams CS/goal streak and Huth to Sagna just before Huth CS/goal streak.

As a Leicester Fan, I often hear that 'everyone' is rooting for us.

Aside from fans of clubs in the title race, would you agree that that's generally true or is if just hype and spin? I know we have certain players that are a bit marmite and our play style can be route one at times, which I always assumed football purists would be against.

As a football fan but not of a particular club, I hope they win the league. Don't like City to win the league because I hate clubs who ruin the love for football with money (look at PSG in France for example, nothing exciting about that league) but the fact that a small club like Leicester could win this league is just magnificent.

    5. Diva

I think supporters of teams outside the top five or six like the Leicester story not because it is Leicester or the way they play, but because it renews hope that smaller teams can still dream about winning the league.

Well, looking at the number of shots on/off target, it is true that the style of play is more about accuracy that just hitting (like quality over quantity).

The team is greatly inspired and ambitious - something which Chelsea in particular lacked. Hype cannot continue so long. This the most crucial time in the league when being over confident can hurt. Remember Utd throwing 8 points at the end of the season to let City win? So to sum it up, its not hype. It is for real !
