Petr Cech is sidelined for up to four weeks with a calf complaint ahead of the north London derby. Dele Alli could be in line to return to the Spurs XI, with Mousa Dembele set to be assessed. Southampton have concerns up front for the visit of Sunderland, whilst West Brom’s Chris Brunt is ruled out for six months with knee ligament damage.

Petr Cech has been ruled out for “three-to-four weeks” with a calf complaint sustained in midweek, Arsene Wenger confirmed earlier this morning. The Gunners boss admitted that Laurent Koscielny will miss the upcoming matches against Spurs and Hull with “a small injury”.

Mauricio Pochettino revealed that both Dele Alli and Mousa Dembele will be assessed ahead of the north London derby. The Spurs boss is hopeful that the Belgian will be involved after missing out against West Ham in midweek, whilst he also reckons that Alli stands a good chance of starting after the youngster was utilised as a sub on Wednesday night due to an ankle problem.

Lee Cattermole has been ruled out of Sunderland’s trip to St Mary’s with the concussion that forced him off against Palace on Tuesday. Jeremain Lens remains sidelined with a hernia problem, though Big Sam is hopeful that John O’Shea could recover from a calf complaint in time. The Black Cats boss admitted that he’s managing Jan Kirchhoff’s fitness after replacing the new boy in midweek due to fatigue, though the former Bayern man is expected to be available for tomorrow.

Norwich midfielder Alex Tettey is expected to miss the rest of the season after undergoing ankle surgery. Gary O’Neil and Robbie Brady are both available after recovering from a midweek collision that left the latter with a cut head and Brady needing a visit to the dentist after losing two teeth. Steven Naismith is back after overcoming a knock, whilst Andre Wisdom will return to training next week.

Bryan Oviedo is a doubt for Everton’s clash with West Ham after being forced off with a knock in midweek. Roberto Martinez has also revealed that Leighton Baines is set to see a specialist as he is still being hampered by the ankle problem that saw him miss much of the season – the left-back is expected to be available for the weekend, though. Mo Besic and Darron Gibson are likely to be available, whilst Tom Cleverley will continue to be monitored after missing out against Villa due to illness.

Charlie Austin is set to be sidelined for three-to-four weeks with the hamstring injury sustained at Bournemouth. The Saints are also without Shane Long for the visit of Sunderland, though the striker is expected to be available for the following weekend’s clash against Stoke. Victor Wanyama serves the fourth of a five-match suspension this weekend.

Ryan Shawcross is again expected to miss out for Stoke this weekend. Mark Hughes revealed that his skipper is seeing a specialist in Germany and, should he skip the trip to Chelsea, is optimistic that the defender could be back for Gameweek 30. Phil Bardsley has been ruled out with a calf complaint, whilst Geoff Cameron is “really sore” after returning to action from an ankle problem over the last week.

Harry Arter and Josh King are both “very doubtful” for Bournemouth’s trip to Newcastle, according to Eddie Howe. The duo were forced off with injuries in midweek and will be subject to late assessments.

West Brom were dealt a blow yesterday after Chris Brunt was ruled out of action for up to six months with knee ligament damage.

    Bench one from each set

    A) Williams, Daniels, Fuchs, Azpilicueta
    B) Ozil, Payet, Mahrez, Sigurdsson, Alli, Vardy, Kane

...or, put another way, pick my team for me. 😀 I have an idea who I'm benching but wouldn't mind a few opinions.

That's pretty unanimous. Surprised about Daniels actually. Against Newcastle and on penalties. I was considering benching Azpilicueta.

Very close - I'm actually benching Fuchs this week, I fancy Watford to get a goal vs. Lei. Meanwhile, I'm playing Daniels, just for the offensive threat.

      i'm seriously considering it.
with Aguero you have to balance whether he'll be fit for a full DGW. If his DGW goes as far as GW37 how much gametime he'll get if City are already qualified for CL?
the only doubt is that his 2nd game in a DGW is against Newcastle at home - possibly the only side worse than Villa away from home but also probably still fighting relegation by then.

By that train of thought, this game is the 2nd game of a DGW so he'll be rotated

With Targett not playing, I might be short of a player in GW30, so will need to take a hit anyway to get my starting 11. If I can get a DEF with CS this week, I think it will be better than taking the hit next GW!

In fact, I will need to take a hit somewhere to ship Cresswell since he'll blank next GW.
Isn't it better to ship him this GW for someone with a guaranteed CS?

BUT spending 4pts now maximises potential return as you're effectively spreading the -2pts over this and next week. Seeing as you were going to do it anyway

Definitely D. Always risky removing a defender for a hit. Cresswell likely playing left wing back so chance of attacking returns. City always concede sloppy goal and don't trust Swansea.

If I don't take the hit this GW, will need to take it next week imo.
With Targett not playing, I might be short of a player for next week.
So if I can get a decent DEF with a CS this week, this might solve my next week issue.
Can't see Cresswell having a CS this week, might even concede 2 or 3.

Is it just me who's concerned about rotation in easier prem games for Hart?

Willy performed well in the league cup, he could be rewarded with game time in easier prem games. It's either that or Pellegrini never starts him in another game this season, since City are now only in two competitions.

Hart has been rested for Willy in the prem before, I think he's at risk of that more than ever now.

The forecast is a little better for tomorrow. But travel disruption would be a problem if it continued tomorrow.

Aguero triple captain this weekend. I believe he will score more in one home game against villa than he will in a double gameweek against any other opponents, even if he gets 60 mins.

But would you put it on anyone other than Kun on a DGW?

            I don't think I would.

yes, for me it would depend on the fixtures.

In the past I've got got 50 points from Robbie Keane in a DGW and also captained the likes of Dempsey, Sess etc..

100 points behind ML, have 2FT and 3m itb..currently have 11 for gw30 even if arsenal don't play

    Henessey --- lloris
Williams daniels simpson --- souare wolscheid
Payet sanchez mahrez alli --- arnautovic
    Kane kun vardy

    Issues:
    - gk combo is crap
    - def for this week is okkish..need to get of souare
    - mid and fwds seem ok fir this gw I think

    Thoughts?

I dont do the whole goali swapping, just get 1 decent keeper
I think you look good for this week apart from Sanchez, depends if you want to stick with him.
I would start looking at City defence and mid(no idea who as they are all bad)
