We bid farewell to a truncated Gameweek 30 as Leicester City and Newcastle collide at the King Power Stadium. The Foxes haven’t been bested on home soil since a 5-2 defeat to Arsenal in Gameeweek 7, so they’ll fancy their chances of overturning a Newcastle United outfit that have lost five of their last six – despite the x-factor that is the arrival of new boss Rafa Benitez.

Leicester posted middling attacking stats over the last four Gameweeks, recording five goals and the seventh-most attempts (56). That being said, the Foxes haven’t needed a multitude of attempts to be effective this term, as evidenced by the fact they chart top for goal conversion rate (13.4%). Notwithstanding Leicester’s recent success at the back, they’ve conceded the fourth-most shots inside the box (38) since Gameweek 26, offering Benitez a glimmer of hope in his first match in charge of the Magpies.

Newcastle didn’t perform that much better than last-placed Villa across the previous four Gameweeks, ranking joint-bottom for goals (two), second-bottom for both attempts (29) and shots inside the box (17) and joint-second-bottom for shots on target (nine). Compounding their dearth of quality up top, the Tynesiders also surrendered the joint-second-most goals (nine) during that stretch, heightening the prospects of Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez as the Foxes look to consolidate their spot at the summit.

Screw the jockey's POV, that poor bleedin' horse has to jump around and carry all that weight whilst trying not to fall and die or break something then be killed.

Jockeys spend an hour a day in a sauna and ride in sweat suits all day. They devote their whole lives to caring for these horses and have a team of staff that are constantly at these horses beck and call. Hundreds of thousands of pounds a year are spent on installing equine swimming pools and cold water spas to allow them to run in their best possible condition. The site below says that 150 horses are shot per year at races however far more will be shot just from paddock injuries and illness. That's less than one horse per race meet. Far more horses are being shot on Dartmoor and Exmoor are being culled and fed to tigers in zoos. At the end of the day horses are animals and you should be worrying far more about the actual humans that are being shot every year instead of horses. And I've ridden my entire life and still own three horses which I devote my life to.

true. But do you remember when City and United were vying for the title when Mancini was around? City obviously had the title under their control but at every press conference, Mancini would play down their chances in a way to "minimize" the pressure on his players.

Well i think Mahrez and Vardy pace and directness would trouble a lot of defenders.. then factor in the money they get from qualification and the chance to bring in a higher calibre of player due to champions league football.. Just getting the chance is amazing
