Disappointed we didn't manage to grab a point last night but at least we showed a degree of fight which has been sorely lacking for months. Perform like that for the rest of the season and suddenly we have a chance of survival.

Big match on Sunday, every year its the Sunderland managers who come in always get off to a good start beating you, will times change and rafa win?

I think if we don't then it's season over. Fair to say I haven't been this nervous for a derby since the second division play offs in 1990.

Deserved might be pushing it but it wouldn't have been an outrageous result. Just hope it isn't one of those situations where we fight tooth and nail in the games we have little chance of winning and then roll over in the others...

Last derby got a bit ruined with Colo's RC tackle and RC. But isn't your result history vs them pretty dire?

We were absolutely mauling them until that travesty of a decision 🙁

Our recent history is hilariously bad but pre-2012 we'd been on top since the 80's pretty much.

I though we struggled to beat you. That penalty shout (which I only saw replayed once) was a good one. We were a bit fortunate that your finishing is so wayward.

I think the difference in confidence levels was the main difference last night. Your boys are riding a wave and we looked scared in front of goal - knocking each other over, scuffing the final pass, shanking shots wide, etc.

Now that game is out of the way I can sincerely back Leicester for the title though - really hope you win it.

Thanks GreenWindMIll - you're a generous man. I still have the pangs of doubt .... I can hardly believe what I am seeing and I dare not allow myself to get too confident. I was there is 1963 when were ahead with five games left. We lost 4 of them and drew the other. And then lost the FA Cup final to Utd. I never forget.

You're not going to stop me! My team this week,

    Elliott
    Kompany, Walker, Williams
    Sigurdson, Mahrez, Eriksen, Ozil
    Vardy, Aguero, Mitrovic

    Butland, Sterling, Simpson, Bertrand

Deeney to Mitrovic with my FT. Bringing in the big man for scum and Norwich. Will be wildcarding in 33 as I'm not all that happy with Eriksen, Walker, Bertrand or Sterling for various reasons.

    Decent punt?

I'm doing Sterling > Ozil which is swaying my thinking, however I do think B is the best option there.

      1. DVassell
        • 14 Years
        10 years, 26 days ago

Yeh Sterling to Ozil is more obvious...however with silva I think he could score against United- he tends to have a good record at home against them which gives me doubts to Ozil transfer.

Besides that he is a differential in my mini league- two of my rivals (behind me) own Sanchez and Ozil respectively

          • Fantasy Football Scout Member

Yep take your point that hes a differential.

But another way of looking at it is by not having arsenal cover both Sanchez & Ozil are differentials to you, and they are the ones who need them more. Putting Ozil in minimise the risk in my opinion

          1. DVassell
            • 14 Years
            10 years, 26 days ago

Hmmmm you have a point there- more importantly Ozil should outscore Silva in the next 2 imo

My other differentials are Siggy, Eriksen, Lloris and VVD which should be enough

I'll be making the call after the presser- cheers!

Lost count of the number of times someone in my minileague hasn't known a rule then complained about it. One of them captained Kolarov and vice captained Firmino (!) this week then moaned that it's a "sh*t rule" when I confirmed he doesn't get a captain.

Does the wildcard still remove saved transfers?

If I wildcard in GW33, and have 2FTs that week, in GW34 I will have 1FT - is that right?

So GW32 I should use 2 transfers before the wildcard as I'm going to lose that saved transfer anyway?

Hope for no injuries so I can save FT in GW34 so I'll have 2FT to remove the blankers in GW35.

    Does that make sense?

Perhaps I've understood the dgw's incorrectly, but is it correct that because both Everton and Liverpool have both had blank gws twice already that they are currently the only two teams at present to potentially get 2 dgw's?

No. West Ham, Man U and Watford I think are the only other three with two DGWs however I believe that Liverpool are the only ones without a blank in GW35. Also, Everton have 3 games to be rearranged.

Right, i obviously hadn't read into it enough yet, nice to see there are far more options than just the pool and Everton. Thanks for confirming

No. Pool will get two. Everton will get three. And they will blank in 35.

Pool are the best team to invest in right now as two doubles and no blanks

Thanks, I spent a rage wildcard ages ago so I'm trying to get players in early, hopefully we will get an update. I will probably get firmino in first and maybe s keeper after Thursdays games

Are people REALLY benching Payet this week

Against this Chelsea team? And a guy who has the second best away points in the league

    Madness

No chance. He's first choice on the pitch for me.

Vardy on the bench I think. Even Ozil perhaps

Hey, interested to know how you found out Payet's accumulated the second best away points. Was it a manual calculation or is there somewhere you can get this information? Don't worry, I won't tell anyone else!

Repost, cmon guys. What would you do with this lot?

    Butland
    Simpson, Kompany, Bellerin
    Silva, Alli, Mahrez, Arnautovic
    Aguero, Kane, Vardy

subs: Hennessey --- Özil, Wollscheid, Fonte --- 2 FT, 1.8 ITB

    A) Fonte -> Alderweireld
    B) Arnautovic -> Siggy
    C) Özil -> Sanchez (as a differrential, chasing in ML)

Nice work Doolittle. Tough draw in the Cup - who do you fancy? I'll be trying to get tickets for our last home match - against you! I'm hoping that you get lots of tough matches around then (no bias of course!) 🙂

Ha, I'm going to be doing a first in that game...I'll genuinely be wanting Everton to lose. I know it sounds bad, but we have absolutely nothing to play for in the league, and Leicester winning the title would be the greatest thing to happen in English football in my lifetime (presuming you haven't won it already by then of course).

I think I'd actually prefer Utd in the cup, West Ham look the better side at the moment.

Very generous of heart! I'm thrilled that so many neutrals are hoping for us to pull it off. I'm very nervous though - there's bound to be a stumble, possibly against Soton and/or West Ham. That Everton side of yours is capable of beating almost anyone on their day, so it will be squeaky bum time in the extreme!

Yeah your last few fixtures are real banana skins, hopefully you can get a lot of points on the board before then and Spurs slip up.
