There’s no double Gameweek on offer in FantasyBet this week, with the midweek match between Palace and Everton excluded from the round of fixtures. Instead the action kicks off at Upton Park, where Arsenal visit the Hammers looking for a third straight win, and ends on Sunday, when Manchester United visit Tottenham.

In between, Crystal Palace go head-to-head with Norwich in a proverbial six-pointer at Selhurst Park, whilst Newcastle travel to St Mary’s looking for a first win under Rafa Benitez. Meanwhile, at Vicarage Road, Everton will hope to arrest their recent poor form against a Watford outfit that have already lost their last four.

Manchester City are the league’s last participants in the Champions League and are fortunate to be facing West Brom at the Etihad. On Sunday, Leicester City make a trip to the Stadium of Light, where Sunderland have drawn four successive matches, whilst Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will have decisions to make at home to Stoke, with one eye perhaps on the Europa League second-leg clash with Borussia Dortmund. Finally, Manchester United travel to Tottenham in a match that could have a significant influence on both sides’ final positions.

If you are unfamiliar with FantasyBet it is particularly accessible for those who play Fantasy Premier League, as it uses a similar pricing and scoring system.

Check out this daily and weekly fantasy football guide to see how the game works.

MY TEAM

Thibaut Courtois (5m)
Charlie Daniels (4.5m)
Scott Dann (5m)
Nicolas Otamendi (6.5m)
Manuel Lanzini (5m)
Yannick Bolasie (6m)
Kevin De Bruyne (10.5m)
Alexis Sanchez (11m)
Graziano Pelle (8m)
Romelu Lukaku (9m)
Sergio Aguero (13m)

KEY PICKS

Thibaut Courtois: A 4-0 win at Villa took Chelsea’s unbeaten run to 15 matches under interim boss Guus Hiddink. The Blues have impressed on the road in particular, conceding only two goals in seven away ties, and their number one offers a safe and comparatively inexpensive route into the Dutchman’s defence for Saturday’s trip to Swansea.

Scott Dann: Although Crystal Palace have failed to record a clean sheet in 12 league outings, the visit of a Norwich side that have netted in only three of their last ten away trips means Alan Pardew’s backline have a reasonable chance of keeping the Canaries out. Dann also offers a serious threat from set-pieces, having scored five already this campaign.

Kevin De Bruyne: The Belgian has made an immediate impact on his return to action, scoring in both Man City’s matches over the last week. Remarkably, all nine of De Bruyne’s assists in the league this season have arrived at the Etihad, which bodes well for his prospects as Manuel Pellegrini’s troops welcome West Brom to the Etihad.

Graziano Pelle: With the threat of relegation looming, Newcastle have to go for three points on their visit to St Mary’s, which should leave plenty of space for the Saints to exploit. Before blanking at the King Power, Pelle looked back in form, having served up three goals and two assists in the previous two outings against Liverpool and Stoke.

THIS WEEK’S GAME PICKS

As always the best place to start if you’re new to FantasyBet are the freerolls. There is a £50 pot available for this Gameweek in both the weekly standard fantasy game and the Flash mode.

The Grand Weekend contest only misses the match at Upton Park, so line-ups can be entered right up until the 3pm kick-offs. It’s £11 to enter for a chance to win part of the £1000 guaranteed prize money.

In the run-up to the Grand Finale in Gameweek 38, which has a £5,000 pot on offer, it’s possible to enter a qualifier this week for a £3.30 stake to win an entry ticket worth £33.

LAST WEEK

I finished in the top half of the Double-up entrants, which provided the majority of my winnings for the week. Frustratingly my 81 points in the Grand Weekend contest was a single point from the money places. Awd2 had a six-point lead at the summit with a total of 102 in the Grand Weekend – captaining Alexis Sanchez delivered 26 points, while picking West Ham midfield duo Dimitri Payet (nine points) and Manuel Lanzini (ten points) also paid off.

THIS WEEK’S STAKE

I’m entering The Grand Weekend, the freerolls, the Double-up contest and entering a team into the FFScout Picks League for a total outlay of £15.40.

In addition, I’ll be going up against Geordienufc1, the Community champion in this week’s Scout Picks. He will be taking me on in a specially set up head to head game for a chance to win free entry into a £500 Guaranteed ‘Big Weekly’ game worth £22.

Also the eligible Community Champion who beats the Scout Picks by the highest margin every month will win a free entry into the £600 guaranteed ‘Boss’ game worth £55.

FFSCOUT PICKS LEAGUE

Awd2 also topped the Scout Picks League with a score of 103 points. Alexis Sanchez was his captain once again, while Pedro’s 16 points from midfield illustrates how picking one or two differentials in your line-up can deliver rewards.

FantasyBet have provided a £100 pot for the FFScout Picks League, with a £1.10 stake for entry, it is now possible to enter two teams into this contest. I will enter our Scout Picks as closely as possible, given a 15-man squad is required with the 100m budget and a captain also needs to be selected.

Feel free to go up against them this week and pick your own squad on FantasyBet.

Extremely hard. Firmino is a monster scorer but Coutinho tends to tick along nicely.
Coutinho played 90 minutes yesterday and Firmino just 13, rested for the weekend maybe?

Yeah could go both ways that, it could be him being rested, or it could be him not being fully fit.

Long time reader, first time poster (Wildcard problems).

    Option 1:
    DDG - Robles
    Monreal - Gabriel - Lovren - Simpson - Delaney
    Ozil - Payet - Coutinho - Mahrez - Lanzini
    Kane - Aguero - Lukaku

    Option 2:
    DDG - Robles
    Bellerin - Gabriel - Lovren - Simpson - Delaney
    Sanchez - Payet - Coutinho - Mahrez - Lanzini
    Martial - Aguero - Lukaku

Monreal, Ozil, Kane v Bellerin, Sanchez, Martial

Option 2 would also leave me a player short (after 2 FTS in GW35)

    Thoughts appreciated.

    A. DDG - Coleman - Moreno - Lanzini

Will lose TV if take out Ozil, but on the other hand Firmino has great fixtures and form, and I see Arsenal doing more CS than liv the rest of the season. Already have Bellerin as well.

Caught the end of the last article...

I’m still thinking of a GW36 WC rather than GW33 – anyone else with me? The main reason being that the TC options are better in 33 and 34 (between Lukaku and Sanchez for me)

After using FTs but without WCing my squad looks like this:

    GW33 – 2 x DGW
    GW34 – 9 x DGW
    GW35 – 12-14 players (depending where I use my FTs…

Open to taking a couple of hits this week or next to get a couple more DGWers.

Feel free to point out the flaws in the plan…

Yeah Simpson probably has the best chance of a cs but I don't see either team keeping a cs. So I'd play Smalling because of this.

On gw35, im thinking to do delaney and kdb out for azpi and pedro/fabregas for free !
Is that smart ? In that way i can field 10 players for gw35 and 11dgw players for dgw37.

Seems reasonable but that could be a good week for KDB home to Stoke

This week sees the reverse fixtures to those played in GW1. My line up that day:

    Ruddy
    Azpilicueta, Mertesacker, Morgan
    Fabregas, Walcott (c), Ozil, Sterling
    Sakho, Pelle, Rooney (v)

    Butland, Coates, Gomez, D. Fletcher

I pulled in a massive 31 points for a GW rank of 1,661,000

Fingers crossed I can do even better this time round 🙂

Ahh a fellow Walcott captainer. I got 29pts that week and another 1pt captain the next week towards 23pts in GW2 🙂

I wisely sold him before GW2 for Payet. Didn't stop me getting a 2m+ GW rank though!

I sold him for some guy called Mahrez 😉 Things got better.

I guess that's the price for having KDB in there. I'd go 1 out of them two

I'm 0.1m out from affording this wildcard team (after missing the KDB rise) - any suggestions?

    Mignolet Robles
    Rojo Delaney Bellerin Gabriel Simpson
    Lanzini Payet Firmino KDB Sanchez
    Aguero Martial Lukaku

    Thanks

        Migs to Darlow.

Rojo to Janmaat would give you another player playing in GW35. You are well short now. And Rojo isn't exactly nailed, so there's risk in having him in there anyway.

      Current WCT

      Robles (Darlow)
      Bellerin, Sakho, Simpson (Gabriel, Smalling)
      Mahrez, Payet, Sanchez, Bolasie (Coutinho)
      Aguero, Lukaku, Martial

      0.5 ITB

      Any Changes?

I can see myself being severely punished along with so many others in GW 35 when Kane, Mahrez, Vardy, Alli and Alderweireld all run absolute riot.

The fear of that one game week is going to be awful. I need a bigger couch.
