I look at my team now and can't be excited by 14 double players and a bench boost.

I look at my team and see I have no spurs cover playing a Stoke team that are on the beach and could easily be a cricket score.

    I hate this game.

    Right, where's the gin.

i'm thinking extra leicester defender, as a WC'er this week with everyone else being DGW'ers. makes GW35 easier too, and just don't see a decent DGW option. spurs rose/walker an option too, but i need to save a little for next transfer

Leicester fixtures are just horrible until the finish - they'll start conceding.

Does not seem so horrible to me. I would say they are mixed (cue Doos' fixture ratings):

GW 34 Home to WEST HAM
          GW 35 Home to SWANSEA
          GW 36 @ man utd

Good point, Doos (as usual). I think that Axolotl could also have a good point in that once they clinch, then you only need 3 defenders, and one or more can go to the bench. It cuts the degrees of freedom though.

For me, I already have Fuchs, so getting Simpson makes some sense given his cheap value.

Assuming Jagielka is confirmed out I think I'll just get Kyle Walker straight back in for him. Only 1 game but a decent fixture in both 34&35. Make sense? After MU's capitulation I wouldn't consider Rojo any further

Delaney (terrible fixtures), Darlow (terrible form), Gabriel (could be dropped) and Barkley (could be injured) is hardly looking promising for BB!

Sanchez or Aguero could easily outscore the lot of them put together.

No, shouldn't discard all our planning and thinking because of one poor game week, after all we did not set our WC teams up for this week.

Probably going to get a couple Spurs and Lei boys back for 35 though, so painful without them!

but now we have issues, like Jags/Barkley injuries, massive rotation for liverpool, Gabriel likely to miss at least one game, more confusion in the Man U lineup... plus the big players in big form (Aguero and Sanch)

I think Gabriel will play both, he really didn't play that bad just lost a couple of headers to the Goliath of Carroll!

Have DDG and Martial who are nailed and dont have Barks or Jags and have both Sanch and Aguero, so looking ok.

100% bench boost next week IMO.

thats actually not a bad idea, but seeing as i've been planning for this for weeks it seems crazy not to BB.

I'm rally not sure it's a wise option. If yo've 3 Arsenal players, you need some transfers to get a deep DGW squad for GW37.

I'm sticking to the plan. Fingers crossed!!

Depends on your team. If you have the likes of Rashford, Darmian and Jagielka then it might make sense. Though even then you could just take a hit or two.

I'm sticking anyway. As LVG says, it's a process.

Nah I'm still pressing ahead with it. Hopefully Wenger takes Gabriel under his wing this week and helps him rather than drop him. Other than that I'll be getting walker in for jags and that should be me , assuming no more injuries!

I have 3 Leicester players and I'm 50/50 on TC or BB.

      12 DGW. Thoughts?

I was thinking this earlier actually. My bench would be Darlow, Dann, Jagielka, Bolasie. Original plan was Dann to United and Bolasie to Milner for -4.

      If Jags injured that's 0, Darlow can't see more than 6, Dann 2, Bolasie 4 - only 12.

Current thinking is Jags and Dann to Simpson and Smalling - 4

Or Jags Dann and Bolasie to Smalling, 4m and Milner (for GW35 as well) - 8

I think the most painful thing about today for me was that Mahrez and Kane blanked.

I didn't go all out on the doubles and held back to "cover" off Spurs and Leicester as I thought they had some good options and still got well and truly hammered by it.

    🙁

It was Toby. All of the rest I could stomach. But not that. Nobody was going to keep a 6.4m defender who didn't have a double.

We got our trousers pulled down.

I think Alli hurt me the most.

I nearly kept him but the lure of Barkley and Coutinho's doubles was just too much!

        That's the hope anyways!

They did at least seem to have some sort of organisation to them, just the lack of quality seen in the derby.

Need a hand from them next week if we're to have any chance at all. A Norwich win and they're home and dry!

    All I can say is...

    Balls.

    Hairy ones.

This will go down as one of the biggest fails in my FPL career. Awful. And now I will be bench boosting with Gabriel, Darmian & Cout 50/50 as to whether they will play, while my league leaders have stuck with the Vardys, Kanes, Allis and Fuch's.

Stil.... GO ON LEICESTER! Hopefully Brighton can get promotion and emulate you next year 😉

Ok... So it's done... I'm calm again... Let's consider GW34 and sort this out!

    Hart - Gomes
    Bellerin - Fuchs - Sakho - Gabriel - Delaney
Sanchez - De Bruyne - Payet - Coutinho - Bolasie
    Aguero - Kane - Mitrovic

Still Bolasie > Lanzini the best move?

    Any other moves better?

    e.g. Mitrovic > Carroll

May do both for a hit?

    1. FAITHNOMORENO
      • 14 Years

Don't have the funds for that.

In fact, if I go through with Bolasie > Lanzini, I do have the funds for Mitrovic > Vardy, but that feels like a panicked reversal.

Carroll a bit knee jerky for me, he's not going to score a hatrick every week!

I have the same midfield as you and am probably going to do Bolasie to Lanzini, then with the added funds do Lukaku to Sturridge.

I predict good weeks for us next week (I pray)

      1. Jøssy ⭐

I could do Kane to Sturridge for a hit (only -2, since Kane is a SGWer), and we have Newcastle the following week.

        What do you think?
