Rounding off the first wave of fixtures this Gameweek, Stoke City attempt to curtail Tottenham Hotspur’s title charge at the Britannia Stadium. The Potters suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Liverpool last time out, while Spurs lost just once in their last 12 fixtures.

Stoke’s attacking recruits have come up short in home fixtures this season, charting fifth-bottom for attempts (189), bottom for shots inside the box (91) and joint-fifth-bottom for shots on target (53). Conversely, their rearguard has provided a solid foundation, conceding the seventh-fewest shots inside the box (98) and the fourth-fewest big chances (18). Moreover, the fact they’ve conceded the fewest attempts from set plays (35) in home ties could be significant given that they’re pitted against the team ranked top for set-play goals (17).

Aside from recording nine goals in their previous four outings, Tottenham ranked top for attempts (70), top for big chances (11) and top for shots on target, limiting the clean-sheet prospects of the hosts. Looking strictly at their attacking prowess away from White Hart Lane, no team has managed more attempts (233) or shots on target (88) in road clashes than the Lilywhites, portending a high-tempo contest at Stoke.

Wow...pretty impressive stuff from Spuds. They're certainly the form team. Screw the doubles.

Swallow my (dented) pride and do:

Rashford / KDB / Darmien --> Kane, Alli, Francis

    -8 BUT means i can field 11 in GW35 (vs 8 currently!)...so really it's only a -4.

    Yes/No?

Well that went badly! 1-0 to the non-wildcarders. If a few of our players actually play this week, there's a chance we'll still finish on top. Albeit with lower TV and a worse team.

    Kane
    Alli
    Toby
    Fuchs

All out on a GW32 WC. Wasn't the greatest idea, in hindsight.

Any chance that James Collins plays on Wednesday night?

Jammy rival has Aldeweireld on the bench, and is already getting Alli from the bench.

They are without a doubt a better team. Leicester have been brilliant and fortunate. 3 games ago, I thought Leicester would win the league by a point, it's going to go to wire.

Vardy has really stuffed up, if he didnt get sent off theyd more than likely have won that match yesterday and be 2 wins away from title, now he is banned and they are in trouble.

winning is good and to win you need goals and if you're banned then you can't score goals so you can't win
