Liverpool’s Divock Origi is set to miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury. Jose Fonte and Victor Wanyama have been passed fit for Southampton’s trip to Villa, Xherdan Shaqiri is ruled out of Stoke’s visit to City, whilst Chris Smalling has overcome a knock in time for United’s FA Cup semi-final with Everton.

Reports in the local press suggest the Divock Origi is ruled out for the season with the ankle injury sustained against Everton in midweek. The Liverpool striker will undergo further scans today to ascertain the likely length of absence.

Eddie Howe has confirmed that Harry Arter and Adam Smith will remain sidelined for the visit of Chelsea. The Bournemouth boss also indicated he will continue to ease Callum Wilson back into action after the striker was afforded a couple of sub appearances following his return from injury.

Jose Fonte and Victor Wanyama are available for Southampton’s trip to Villa after recovering from the knocks that forced both off in last week’s draw at Everton. Ronald Koeman has also confirmed that Charlie Austin remains unavailable though is close to returning from a knee problem.

Chris Smalling has shrugged off a knock picked up against Palace on Wednesday night and is available for United’s FA Cup semi-final against Everton. Adnan Januzaj remains unavailable due to a lack of match fitness.

Xherdan Shaqiri is ruled out of Stoke’s trip to the Etihad with the hamstring injury that forced him off during Monday’s loss at Spurs. Mark Hughes has revealed that Shay Given is likely to keep his place in goal, though Marc Wilson, Glen Johnson and Jon Walters are still sidelined.

Ramiro Funes Mori serves the first of a three-match ban for Everton’s FA Cup semi-final encounter against Man United. Earlier this morning, Roberto Martinez also confirmed that Gareth Barry, Phil Jagielka and John Stones are set for late assessments, though Seamus Coleman has failed to recover from a hamstring complaint.

Kieran Gibbs is a doubt for Arsenal’s trip to Sunderland after missing last night’s win over West Brom with a minor back problem.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

    I've rose 700,000 places in just 6 weeks! Now at 107,000 after triple C Sanch delivered. And most importantly swung a 60 point mini league deficit to a 45 point lead! Thanks for all the help so far

    Lots of people saying Studge is going to get more minutes now, others saying he's going to get less. Impossible to tell, I suspect he will get 60 per game on average which going on how he and Liverpool are playing makes him essential.

      Origi was the Europa lad. Now it's Sturridge. Less PL mins for him

      With Origi out I definitely think EL will be prioritized for him. He is a bit frail considering his injury history, so I don't think he'll be a definite starter (and subbed at >60) in PL, and definitely not play 90 minutes for the coming fixtures.

        Can see him playing several to keep the engine ticking over. I think over resting is bad for Danny.

      I own him and I've been pretty pessimistic about him starting tomorrow.

      However, given that the EL game is away, will he trust sturridge to put the same kind of shift in that origi did vs dortmund? he may opt for firmino as a false 9 on thursday.

      All speculation anyway, all we can do is wait and see.

    A) DDG, Martial to Mannone, Kane (-4)
    B) DDG, Martial, Mitrovic to Lloris, Kane, Defoe (-8)
    C) Robles, Martial, Payet to Forster, Kane, Alli (-8)

    Need to get Kane in so its one of the above..but which one? Cheers

              nI could have done:

              KDB > Alli
              Coutinho > Milner
              Rashford > Kane

              -8 but missed milner rise last night so now priced out of it (unless rashford rises tonight, which seems unlikely given he doesn't have a game)

    I'm leading my ML by 40 points, but need to take a couple of hits to adjust my team. Team right now (* means no game, ? means might be rested, rotated):

    DDG* - Robles*
    Simpson - Bellerin - Gabriel? - Sakho? - Fosu-Mensah*
    Sanchez - KDB? - Coutinho? - Payet* - Lanzini*
    Aguero - Mitrovic? - Martial*

    So the plan is:
    Mitrovic -> Kane
    Martial -> Defoe
    Lanzini > Alli

    ... for -8.

    Or is that overkill? Should I assume all of Sakho, KDB and Coutinho plays, save 4 points and have exactly 10 outfield players with a game?

      I'd pick Dier. No rotation risk and likes a shot. What about Vertongen?

        Dier looking absolutely naield on - but is Verthongen?

      I think Rose and Walker will play the remaining 4 games, but Dier is probably the safest as the full back role in the Spurs team is by far the most demanding

    Nearly top 1k but having to take an 8 pointer to get a decent xi out on the weekend. So near, yet so far 🙁

    Are most on here taking -8 or -4 's. Or have you planned it perfectly ?

      Planning -4, won't go anything above unless I have 9 players

    Sanchez KdB Payet Alli King

    I'll try again 🙂

    Is this team GTG? Already on -8 with 0.1 ITB.

    Darlow
    Koscielny Bellerin Walker
    Alli Coutinho Milner Sanchez De Bruyne
    Kane(C) Kun

    Bench (Robles, Borini, Sakho & Delaney)

    Would you change the bench order?

      All good I think! Always have the further forward player first on the bench!

    With Clyne and Gabriel both needing to play to get a full starting XI, is Delaney to Rose worth a hit?

      I'm wondering a similar thing (below) - I have Sakho and Coutinho who need to play to give me an XI.

      I might well take a -4 for a Spurs defender. Will be solid starters for the rest of the season.

    Hi all - hope you're all as happy as I am today, the new leader in my cash league hehe 🙂

    Set on bringing Alli in for Lanzini, but unsure what else to do:

    A) Bring Toby in for Smalling - this is a blocker, too, as my closest ML rival has been benefitting from Toby all year. Downside is that I lose a GW37 DGWer but will United really do anything in those two games?
    or
    B) Bring Borini/Defoe in for Lukaku. Troll looks to have already left Everton in spirit, but he's likely to troll me if I remove him, plus he has a good fixture in GW36 (BOU).
    or
    C) Leave it and hope Nasri/Coutinho/Sakho all play (Gabriel on the bench likely to be bench fodder from here on out).. obv depends a bit on Pelle's presser later on.

    Probably A, right?

    Got 1ft, 4 blank outfielders and Gabriel, coutinho, sakho, moreno and mitrovic as rotation risks as well. What should i do
    A) fosu-mensah -> rose (no subs)
    B) Coutinho, martial -> alli, Kane (-4) (no subs)
    C) coutinho, fosu-mensah -> alli, rose, (-4) (no subs)
    D) coutinho, fosu-mensah, martial - > rose, alli, kane (-8) (1 sub)

      B I reckon - I'm toying with removing Coutinho myself just for rotation reasons but doesn't quite seem worth it atm.

    is Fosu-Mensah > Morgan worth a -4 hit, can't field a full 10 of outfielders without this and cresswell is a better choice come GW37 assuming TFM even plays the double & can't afford anyone decent if i take out Lanzini

    Which looks best?:

    A) Iwobi/Martial - Alli/Defoe

    B) Iwobi/Martial - Alli/Long

    C) KDB/Martial - Alli/Pelle

    D) KDB/Martial - Alli/Sturridge
