Saturday’s late-afternoon clash finds Arsenal playing host to Norwich City at the Emirates. The Gunners tasted just one victory in their previous quartet of fixtures, while the Canaries will strive to rebound from successive defeats.

Arsenal’s attack has recorded middling stats over their last four outings, ranking ninth for goals (six) and joint-12th for big chances (four). It’s also worth noting that the Gunners place ninth for goals scored in home fixtures (26). On a more positive note, Arsene Wenger’s troops have conceded the second-fewest goals (11) and third-fewest big chances (18) on home soil, underlining their strong clean-sheet potential.

Norwich failed to net in their last two league ties and have struggled to exert their attacking influence away from home this term, ranking joint-third-bottom for goals (13), joint-second-bottom for big chances (12) and third-bottom for shots on target (51). Equally, Arsenal will be buoyed in the knowledge that the Canaries place fourth for goals conceded (33) and joint-top for big chances conceded (40) in road encounters.

Doesn't help that Arsenal have had their peachy patch of fixtures as he's fallen out of favor. Mert will get 3 straight cleanies and become undroppable.

The lack of quality strikers is Wenger's fault.

Giroud is not top quality and Wenger has been far too stubborn and refuses to accept that. Other managers would have shipped Giroud after 1-2 seasons

Lol. I feel you bro. Did the same. Hard to bench an elite keeper for a third stringer, and yet, this is sometimes how things turn out. Maybe we'll get lucky and LvG gives DDG a rest. I highly doubt it, but you never know...fingers crossed!

Both deeney and Darlow owners are extraordinarily fortunate in both cases this week. On paper de gea was the right call all day long

It was a wild set of events for Deeney with the two late goals, and for Darlow to get the equivalent of a dgw double clean sheet with baps haul. Wow.

Mmmm not sure I agree. I played Darlow over De Gea. It helped that I had Smalling too but I still think I'd have opted for Darlow given Palace had little to play for and Leicester are going for a win to claim the title.

Can't see the "luck element" with Deeney either. I almost brought him in and I've captained him in UFPL. He was in our Differentials and was clearly an option for this week. Probably third down the chain behind Carroll and Defoe and it turns out he's outscored them both. Anyone who brought Deeney in for today's game fully deserves the points in my view.

Good call on Darlow over DDG, Mark. Ultimately, anyone who makes the right decision earns the points. It's all about results, no matter how those points are generated. Everything lose is just rationalizations so that those of us who made the wrong decision, feel just a tiny bit better. Oh well.
