Yaya Toure is passed fit for City’s trip to Real Madrid. Robert Huth and Marouane Fellaini are handed violent conduct charges by the FA, Cesc Fabregas could also face a charge in light of Monday’s tunnel altercation at the Bridge, whilst Emre Can and Santi Cazorla step up their recoveries from injury.

Toure available for Real clash

During his pre-match press conference ahead of City’s clash with Real Madrid this evening, Manuel Pellegrini confirmed that Yaya Toure is fit and available after recovering from a muscle injury. David Silva is still sidelined with a hamstring problem and is joined on the sidelines by Pablo Zabaleta – the latter took to twitter to announce he’s ruled out for around three weeks with a calf complaint.

The Scout Says: It remains to be seen whether Toure will make a first-team return at the Bernabeu, given that he was benched in the last Champions League match he was available for. Instead, Pellegrini could choose to unleash him from the start against Arsenal on Sunday in a match that City need to win to climb above their visitors into third. Despite the numerous changes to Sunday’s team sheet at Southampton, the importance of the Arsenal clash – which is also Pellegrini’s final home league match in charge – suggests that the Etihad side could be back to full strength against the Gunners. Even if they progress past Madrid, the fact that the Champions League final takes place on May 28 would surely quell any need for rotation this weekend, allowing Sergio Aguero and Kevin de Bruyne likely returns to the domestic fold after they warmed the bench from start to finish at St Mary’s. At the back, Zabaleta’s absence looks set to allow Bacary Sagna a domestic return – the Frenchman has failed to start the last six league matches but now looks poised to line up at right-back for the final two clashes against the Gunners and Swansea.

FA charge Huth and Fellaini

The FA have confirmed that Robert Huth and Marouane Fellaini have been retrospectively charged with violent conduct following an incident in Leicester’s draw with United last Sunday. The pair have until 6pm this evening to reply.

The Scout Says: Should they be found guilty, a three-match ban looks on the cards for both players. This would rule Huth out of Leicester’s final two league matches and the summer’s Community Shield, whilst Fellaini would miss United’s final three league matches before being available for the FA Cup final clash against Palace. Clearly, with a single goal to his name all season, Fellaini’s likely absence would have next to no effect on Fantasy teams, though Huth’s potential ban may well persuade those holding Leicester’s defenders to cash in ahead of double Gameweek 37. Furthermore, with the league already won, there’s the chance that Claudio Ranieri could choose to play with the handbrake off once again after months of grinding out the wins, thus reducing the Foxes’ prospects of clean sheets in the final two fixtures.

Fabregas could face FA charge

Reports from yesterday’s local press suggest that Cesc Fabregas could be in hot water for his alleged involvement in the tunnel fracas at the end of Chelsea’s home draw against Tottenham.

The Scout Says: With three double-figure hauls in seven appearances prior to Monday’s match, the Blues’ midfielder had started to convince he was worth a double Gameweek 37 gamble for trips to Sunderland and Liverpool. A possible suspension for the Spaniard could strengthen Eden Hazard’s case for inclusion after he emerged from the bench to notch a late leveler against Mauricio Pochettino’s men. Guus Hiddink could also choose to hand Ruben Loftus-Cheek more minutes in the central support role before the season is out, though after dropping to the bench in the last two, there’s clearly big question marks over the 4.6-priced youngster’s pitch time. Elsewhere in the Blues midfield, though, Willian has bagged a goal and assist in the last two and, at a cost of 7.0, has remained under the radar in recent weeks with just 7% ownership.

Can steps up Reds recovery

Liverpool’s Emre Can is back in training ahead of the midweek Champions League clash with Villarreal. The German had initially been expected to be sidelined for the rest of the season with an ankle injury but could be in contention for Thursday’s evening’s squad.

The Scout Says: With Can sidelined for the last five league matches, Jurgen Klopp has afforded the likes of Kevin Stewart and Joe Allen more pitch time as he juggles his squad to cope with the busy schedule. Should the German prove his fitness, his return merely adds another name to Klopp’s options in the centre of the park and heightens the idea of rest and rotation – particularly if Liverpool progress past the Spanish outfit. Ahead of Liverpool’s double Gameweek 37 home matches with Watford and Chelsea, the result in Europe may ultimately determine their domestic Fantasy prospects from this point onwards. Lose in midweek and the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and James Milner could well benefit if Klopp decides to finish the league strongly. A win, however, is likely to see the current team sheet uncertainty remain, bearing in mind that the Europa League final comes just three days after Liverpool play West Brom in Gameweek 38.

Big Sam hints at tinkering

Ahead of Sunderland’s pair of double Gameweek home matches against Chelsea and Everton, Sam Allardyce admitted he’s likely to make some team sheet alterations to cope with the busy schedule. Bracing himself for a run of three fixtures in eight days, the Black Cats boss went on to say:

“We’ll probably change the side more in these three games than we have done since the turn of the year. The (current side) have played well enough to stay in the team, which causes an under-current of very frustrated players in the squad, The challenge for the frustrated lads is be ready and when you get the chance, grasp it with both hands. If they do that, then they stay in the team”.

The Scout Says: Certainly, with 14 goals to his name it would be a major surprise if Jermain Defoe was amongst those rested to the bench. The 5.3-priced frontman fired eight attempts against Stoke on Saturday and looks far too vital to his side’s prospects of survival to be omitted from the first XI. Looking at Big Sam’s recent substitutions, it seems far more likely than he’ll freshen up on the flanks – Fabio Borini and Wahbi Khazri remain in pole position, though the likes of Duncan Watmore, Dame N’Doye and even Jeremain Lens will all be pushing for inclusion. Allardyce also has a tendency to manage Jan Kirchoff’s minutes – perhaps something to consider for those eyeing up a defence with three clean sheets in five. With regards to the Sunderland backline, then, five-goal Patrick van Aanholt remains the man most likely as the Wearsiders attempt to play their way to safety.

Cazorla handed run out for Gunners reserves

Santi Cazorla stepped up his recovery from a five-month injury lay-off by playing 60 minutes for Arsenal reserves last night. The Spaniard earned an assist in the 2-1 win over Blackburn and was joined by the likes of Tomas Rosicky, Calum Chambers and Serge Gnabry in the starting line-up.

The Scout Says: After returning to the first-team squad as an unused sub in last weekend’s narrow win over Norwich, it seems likely that the importance of this week’s trip to City will ensure Cazorla remains on bench-warming duties as the Gunners look to move six points clear of the Etihad outfit. Whilst Arsenal’s home match against Villa in Gameweek 38 obviously bolsters the armband appeal of Alexis Sanchez, it remains to be seen whether Arsene Wenger will make too many changes to his starting XI on the final day, bearing in mind that the Gunners are currently still in with a shout of overhauling Tottenham in second.

The only player I'd lose either for is Vardy, and even then probably not for a hit.

I have him, Kun and Kane, and not sure if I'd have lost either of the latter for the former. Maaaybe Kane, definitely not Kun.

Kane is who I'm likely to move on. Kun and Sturridge are my other two.

With hindsight, I may not have brought Sturridge in last week (although he did score), and I'd have got Carroll that way. Can't sell a (potential) DGWer this week (although still have to wait to see what happens Thurs night).

      Are we overlooking Norwich?

(MUN+WAT) & eve are decent fixtures defensively anyway for defenders in the sub - 4.2 bracket that are fighting for survival, I see lots going for Newcastle / Sunderland, but not Norwich as they're not as fashionable.

Should I actually drop Kane or Aguero? I mean City against Arsenal this week is such a massive game for champions league qualifications. and I would imagine Kane would want the golden boot.

What to do with Liverpool players?

Having fallen far from the "gold standard", do we see the premium options many of us are still lumbered with (Coutinho; Firmino; defenders; Mignolet) as single game weekers next week or do we reckon they will play the double?

If they're only SGWers, does that diminish their appeal?

I think it may for Kane. history has showed that with Dembele out Kane is forced to drop deeper. But having said that Alli was a factor then....he took over some of the passing role that Dembele has, but was less good at it. With Alli and Dembele out it could mean Bentelab or Mason is tasked with that role. I think that will harm Spurs' attacking play. Its certainly enough to make me consider ditching Kane.

your bench is going to be 3 defensive players out of the 4, i think you can have a sstronger bench this week than 34. Everyones first 11 is going to be "weak" though. I presonally sold Agüero in gw36 wildcard and have 5 expensive attacking defenders now.

For those with triple West Ham already (Lanzini,Payet,Cresswell), is it worth getting rid of one to get Carroll? If not, then who is the best bet DGW'er to get, besides Defoe? (and possibly Sturridge if he plays Europa)

1- which 3 West Ham to own?
2- is martial a good pick? Considering united rarely score more than one
3- best TC options, someone like Noble? On pens, in form, or go for safe payet
4- what scores would you be happy with considering this is a smaller DGW?

With a lot of wildcards available leading up to GW34 people were targetting at least 11 or 12 DGWers.
Because of the way most teams loaded up for that DGW it seems many will be going into this DGW with only 5 or 6 guaranteed DGWers.
Is it worth taking hits this late in the season to get up to 10 or 11 DGWers?
i still have Bench boost. But is 3 Arsenal (Gabi, Sanchez & Bellerin) much of a bench at Man City? Bearing in mind they could rack them up against VIlla in GW38.

Two chips left - two game weeks to go.
A Triple captain gw 37 probably Payet then All out attack in 38, or.......
B All out attack in 37 mid Payet, Sanchez, Townsend, Mahrez, Hazard ( transfer in for Alli). Then triple captain. Sanchez vs Villa in 38?

Chasing in mini league if that alters advice.

I've got a similar issue with bloody Coutinho, Borussia!

Think Fab is in big danger of a ban at the mo - maybe Willian / Haz if you can afford instead for option A?

No point in really removing Martial - has a DGW and has been scoring.

I dropped Aguero last weekend because I didn't think he'd play - think I've got to stick by that decision now as I've already used a bit of the released funds.

Think Kane will be gunning for the golden boot and Southampton are leaky at the back - think there will be retribution for the Chelsea game meted out by Spurs this weekend.

        Sticking with Harry, in short.

      Lost on last page!

      Hi all

Still lumbered with Coutinho and likely to do a defensive swap to get Cresswell in (thanks to community members for commenting yesterday)

The question is now who do I bench:

      A) Coutinho. Not likely to play vs. Watford regardless of Liverpool outcome. So I guess he turns into a SGWer vs. Chelsea (H).
      B) Sanchez. Surely madness to bench Sanchez?! Even if it is City.

      Who takes first bench?

      Thanks in advance 🙂

Yeah Cradders can see us playing well vs. City, we beat them last year there so I just dk what to do.

Cheers Foley - no I'm in the lead by 20 points or so, so I'm not too sure what to do really.

              Basically I have 2 choices:
              1) Take Coutinho out for a midfielder who will play; have only 1 DGW defender.
              2) Take a defender out for a DGW defender; risk it with Coutinho

Don't fancy taking a -8 (I already did Payet in for Alli for my TC) because my lead is fairly slender, so I guess it's one of those two... spose option 2 is the best?

Carroll could very easily score more points than Payet. He's a rotation risk though whereas Payet is nailed on and we know what he can do.

I'm personally putting it on Payet.

        I'm definitely going Payet.

Should get returns of some sort at least in terms of an assist, and could well score a free kick or a rebound (he seems to be the king of rebound goals this year) which would propel your TC from okay (~25-30) to pretty good (~45). At this stage of the season that's all I'm looking for.

Hmm. I like Carroll a lot as a prospect actually, Foley - if I had space for him (I've got Deeney, Kane and Lukaku so I don't see any need to remove anyone there and have other fish to fry as per the other thread you kindly commented on) I would love to have him in.

To be honest, it's worth a punt if you're chasing. If you're protecting a lead, Payet. If you're way out in front, punt too!

rp on right article: An annoyingly broad question, but what would you do with 1 FT in this BB team:

      de Gea - Gomes
      Cresswell - Smalling - PvA - Moreno - Azpi
      Sanchez* - Mahrez* - Payet - Hazard - Firmino
      Defoe - Kane* - Carroll
      1FT 0.6m

      a) save
      b) Firmino or moreno out, if they play tomorrow?
      c) Kane to sturridge if studge looks like getting enough minutes?

Leicesters defence with Drinkwater and, more importantly, Huth out has to be worse off. Besides the team have lost their mean motivation for keeping clean sheets

Yup, but I still prefer their prospects over Bellerin/Koscielny who are on my bench.

Fancy Fuchs to get forward 🙂

Amartey could come in and shore up the backline..

      A couple of questions fellas
      1) Play Mignolet DGW (WAT,CHE). Or Darlow (avl)
      2) Keep Mitrovic in the chance he will play VS avl
      3) Sell Mitrovic and Firmino > Hazard and Defoe -4 0.2 ITB
      Cheers.

        1) Darlow - I think he'll bag more points against AVL than Migs over the two

        3) Good call - Mitrovic out imo.

        1) I'd regard Migs as a probable SGWer rather than a DGWer, given Klopps love of rotation. I'd do Darlow

Bench Lingard and his inevitable 4 points. Mané is on fire, can score against anyone, and between injuries and suspensions, who knows what sort of defense Spurs will cobble together. Alexis could easily blank, but on the other hand, with 3rd/4th/5th to play for, there could easily be goals in that game, and that City defense has not been trustworthy all season.

Is anybody else stuck with Khazri? minutes look pretty iffy to me, seems silly to shift now though?

I think Khazri to Townsend my be a bit of a sideways transfer but I don't know whether Khazri will play both games if he does then keep but if he doesn't may aswell bring in Townsend. I'd rather have Townsend playing Villa once then Khazri playing CHE/EVE once. But then again its impossible to guess whether he plays both

      Triple captain/All Out Attack question!!

Was always planning on using the TC in GW37 and AOA in GW38, but looking at the fixtures, my current line-up, and facing the probability of haven’t to bench Kun/Sanchez this week, wondering whether the TC might be better played in GW38!? (Sanchez home to Villa!! Kun v Swansea!) And AOA this week!?

      Robles Darlow
      Bellerin Gabriel Simpson Delaney Smalling
      Sanchez Payet Lanzini Milner Lingard
      Kun Carroll Sturidge

Wondering if others are facing similar quandary??

I have both left and I'm playing TC on the final day and AOA this week. And its going to be more fun watching Sanchez scoring a hatty against a sad Villa team in their final game 🙂

        Yo

I think just look at the basic facts - Triple Captaining a double game week player means you get two bites at the cherry. It may well be that Sanchez will score a hattie vs. Villa, but he could equally blank completely - the likelihood is if you shove it on a dgwer you have two chances for returns which always pushes upward your possibility of a successful play of the chip.

AoA for you surely suits GW38 with the Villa game? Both Arsenal defenders and grab some Southampton cover 🙂

      Hi,
I'm currently second in ML and 31 points adrift from top spot, gradually been crawling him back over the weeks.
I've still got BB chip and TC chip to play.
      My team is currently...
      Robles Darlow
      Bellerin Sakho Smalling Kirchoff
      KDB Sanchez Payet Coutinho Milner
      Defoe Carroll Aguero

      1.0 mill ITB

Any suggestions on how to improve team to hopefully get to number one in my ML?

      Thinking of KDB for HAZARD?
Getting Cresswell or Noble in there as well? Maybe Coutinho for Noble? KUN to Sturridge?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Team's looking good for BB if you remove a few players:
        KdB
        Sakho

I'd consider going for broke and packing your team with DGW players. Could definitely do with a West Ham defender (Reid; Cresswell) in for Sakho and reinvesting the KdB money into a huge punt (like Hazard, as you say).

And who is your fifth def? If he's so bad that you can't even bear to list him I'd consider making another change to get a DGWer in.

KDB to Hazard looks good and I also like Coutinho to a West Ham mid but not sure between Noble and Lanzini I own Lanzini because I'm not quite sure about Nobles form, yes he is the captain so his spot should be nailed on, and yes he is on pens but I think that his form has to end soon and that's where I think Lanzini has that slight edge

DO I TAKE A HIT OR NOT????

I'm in a H2H league and with 2 games left I'm playing joint top with my self this week. If I beat him this week I pretty much win the league on points difference even if I lose last game of the season (playing bottom) as I have 83 more points going into this game week. So what to do I could take a hit to bring Hazard in but for me to do that I would need to take 2 players out, so I'm unsure if to take an -8 point hit.

The guy I'm playing has 2 FT and I have none as I swapped Cech for DeGea (Smart move I think). So my question is WHAT TO DO!! I have put my team below, rip it apart and help this guy take home the crown haha.

      DeGea - Hennessey
      Bellerin - Dier - Fuchs - Moreno - Klose
      Payet - Barkley - Ozil - Lingard - Loftus-Cheek
      Aguero - Kane - Sturridge
