Following Gameweek 34’s rollercoaster set of double fixtures, the community is ready to go through it all again. Our community writers were full of advice on the best players to draft in for double Gameweek 37, whilst our hot topic posters were mulling over the pros and cons of dumping high performing single-Gameweek assets. After scoring at least twice in each of their last seven, West Ham are among the most in-demand double Gameweek sides and our Members Tables take a look at the Hammers’ underlying stats. We also find out who will be looking over their shoulders at the top of our community tournaments during what promises to be another nail-bitingly busy week of Fantasy Football.

The Community Articles

Motivation of teams, whether it be for Premier League survival or a place among Europe’s elite, is set to play a key role in whether double Gameweek 37 is a success, according to Bowstring the Carp. His latest article examines where Fantasy managers would be wise to invest their budget ahead of the last double Gameweek of the season.

Another motivated group are the Fantasy Premier League veterans being tracked by Kavali. As his latest update shows, they go into Gameweek 37 with plenty to smile about.

Among our most popular regular articles is Bolivian Seaman’s look at the fans’ forums to gather clues around line-ups and tactics. The series was named the best of April following a community vote, which means a £20 Amazon voucher will be heading his way. Here is his latest look at what the fans are saying ahead of the weekend’s fixtures.

Don’t forget, if you’ve got some analysis, scout reports or features brewing, be sure to visit our community section to submit your article.

The Hottest Topics

A popular transfer this week is to remove Harry Kane in favour of a double Gameweek striker, such as Andy Carroll or Jermain Defoe. According to our hot topic on lessons learned from the previous double Gameweek, though, ditching such a high performing single Gameweeke player could prove costly.

Test Eagles dropped by with a further reminder of the risk of dumping such a player, with his look at the latest Golden Boot table, which shows the Spurs striker facing stiff competition from Sergio Aguero to claim the accolade this season.

Spurs will not have it easy in Gameweek 37, though, as they face a Southampton team that has scored nine times over the last three matches. As our Rough with the Smooth run down of your Gameweek 36 performances showed, their midfielder Sadio Mane is more than capable of upstaging Kane and co.

Whilst Mane’s latest hat-trick proved a game-changer for many Fantasy managers, top billing in Gameweek 36 went to Leicester, who finally secured their first top flight title. We took a closer look at the Foxes’ stats this season so far to find out just how they managed to defy the bookies odds and catch so many Fantasy managers off guard.

The Members Tables

West Ham’s key assets come under the watchful eye of Speculativefrom30 in his latest tables. His first takes a look at how Andy Carroll and Dimitri Payet’s attacking stats compare, while his second examines the defensive form of Swansea and Manchester United, West Ham’s two opponents in double Gameweek 37.

Meanwhile, Kushal21’s latest table seeks to find the midfielders who are quickest off the mark in recent weeks in creating goal scoring opportunities.

If you’re a member and are yet to get to grips with the custom statistics tables, you can view this movie for an explanation of how they work. Also, remember to tag them so that people can find the tables with ease.

In addition, with blanks and double Gameweeks now here it is wise to sort by matches rather than Gameweeks to give a fairer gauge of form,

The Community Tournaments

Ralf Buckenmaier continues to top Red Lightning’s Top 10k Any Season and is up to 47th overall. Meanwhile, taking the lead in Red Lightning’s January to May League is Sam Isaacs’ team, which since the start of the year has been managed by his uncle RuthNZ.

In the FFScout moderators and contributors Andy has a 33-point lead over second-placed Evs, while Anorak moves up to third.

Jon Wilmore topped the latest monthly FFS £1K league in Ultimate Fantasy Premier League and came within 25 points of winning April’s £1,000 prize.

The Going Out With a Bang league, set up by Kings of Lyon to assess how the chips are being used for the season run-in, continues to be lead by Enter Shaqiri. He now has an 11-point advantage over second-placed Hooky.

Feed Feo and Sepp Blattered prevailed in their Gameweek 36 semi-final ties in Jarvish’s Frequent Posters Cup, which is dedicated to FFScout’s chattiest community regulars. The final will take place in Gameweek 38.

Spectrum & Newton1982 beat Still Unsure & Mr Alex in the first of the best of three set final of Balders’ Wimbledon tennis tournament. Meanwhile, in Gameweek 36 Hooky was crowned champion of Balders’ inaugural Community Play Offs competition.

In TorresMagic‘s Last Man Standing competition, Ohhhhh Gary Macca! hit the top score in Gameweek 36 with 59. There are now five teams left after nine were eliminated when the safety score was set at 47. The final will be held in DGW37 where winner takes all.

Finally, Jaffalicious dropped by earlier this week to reveal the two community regulars who have made it through to the FFS UEFA Champions League final.

If you are running a community tournament and would like the latest scores included in future Community Round Ups please email me a brief summary of the current leaders and a link to your league, spread sheet or head to head competition, at jonty@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk.

    Robles (Darlow)
    Moreno Bellerin Delaney (Simpson Gabriel)

I would keep Bellerín for final GW. I would ship a different defender for perhaps Reid if you can afford that instead?

Thanks for the input. I was leaning towards no as I don't like taking hits for defenders and Bellerin plays Villa next week. For some reason I feel like the lineup's filled with "2nd class" DGWers! (Costa, Coutinho, Antonio, Lukaku etc. Rather than Carroll, Cresswell etc.)

I think I'll be starting Mahrez. Home to Everton rather than away to City. Could go either way though with Leicester going out with a bang vs. Sanchez exploding. Just my two cents.

    Hazard(vc) Fabregas Payet(TC) Lanzini
    Deeney Sturridge Lukaku

A, B or C.. First to 5 votes will be my pick.

Pretty set to take first hit of the season.
Coutinho and Bellerin to Haz and Reid for 4 pts

    Robles
    Reid PVA Simpson
    Sanchez Haz Payet (tc) Mahrez
    Kun Kane Defoe
    Subs: Darlow Delaney Gabriel Alli

Allows me to bring in an Arsenal mid for Alli (and finally play AOA) for a a GW37 punt vs. Villa.

    Look good?

I think that looks reasonable - although I think that Bellerín will be a prize asset come GW37. I can see him doing very well. Can't have it all ways though I suppose!

Add Kane to Carroll which will help you get Cresswell instead of Reid.

Kane will miss Dembelle too much imo and Spurs are shot now.

Live a little if you are chasing. Dont buy a ticket you cant win. -8 will get you a nice return.

Repost with the late crowd - opinions please guys?!

    ---------------------| de Gea | ----------------------
    -------------| PVA | Rose | Simpson | ----------
    ---| Hazard | Payet (TC) | Lanzini | Milner |--
    ---------| Agüero | Kane | Defoe |--------------

    Subs: | Darlow | Sánchez | Bellerín | Gabriel |

    £2.9M in the bank, 1FT

    I'm chasing a 26 point lead. I have triple captain, rival doesn't.

Similar teams (only 2 different in front 7). Similar defenses (both got DDG, Sunderland, and a Spurs).

    Best option?

A): Rose --> Cresswell (rival already has him) [0]
    B): Kane + Rose + Lanzini --> Carroll (TC) + Smalling + Fabregas [-8]
    C): as B) but also Simpson --> Cresswell [-12]
    D): Kane + Milner --> Costa + Fabregas [-4]
    E): Kane + Defoe --> Sturridge + Carroll [-4]
    F): Something else I've missed?

    Thanks!

        Thanks! I think you're right.

I know for sure he has taken a -4 hit this week. I'm also fairly sure he'll captain Payet this week and Sánchez next week. Knowing the extent to differentiate is the problem!

I'm fairly sure he won't have Carroll, so that could be a differentiator for sure with TC, but I can see myself looking back with incredulity at not TCing Payet!

    2. Owusu90
      • 13 Years

Both of you Payet (C) would be good as your guaranteed to gain some points.

Tricky one...any idea on rival transfer looking at TV?

      1. Gastar
        • 11 Years
        9 years, 9 months ago

Thanks for reply! Hmm very true...

Value dropped by about £1.3M. I reckon he shipped Alderweireld and Alli for another two (a lot of value tied up in them) to who I'm not really sure.

Now I'm considering an even riskier move of

        Rose + Kane --> Carroll + Lovren

If both play, it could be very nice and only for a -4... but then again if Lovren is rested one game it could be painful! Although would Toure and Skrtl partner together?

        This is a tough choice!

Will Sturridge be benched in the DGW? With Europa final on 18th may and their GWK38 match on 15th may, he is more likely to get rested for that one so surely he is a good chance to start both games in the DGW?

    Hi All

    Opinions please.........

    DDG

    Smalling / Rojo / Cresswell

Payet / Hazard (TC) / Townsend / Sanchez

    Carroll / Kun / Defoe

    (Robles / KDB / Simpson / Delaney

1 - Do I risk TC on Hazard?

2 - Bench Sanchez or KDB?

3 - Any general feedback on the DGW team.

      Payet the 'safer' TC pick.

Play Sanchez over KDB, should be a tight game but he's more of the explosive pick.

    3rd attempt!

    Any help appreciated!

    --------- De gea. ---------

    -- Smalling. PVA. Simpson. --

    Payet. Hazard. Milner. Noble

    ---- Defoe. Kun. Caroll ----

    Bench. Darlow. Sanchez. Bellerin. Kosc.

Worth a hit to swap Simpson for someone? If so, who??

    £2m in the bank.

Loving seeing all these people take hits on ditching arsenal players when they'll be taking hits next GW to get them back in.

It's actually crazy the amount of hits happening to get DGW's and a lot are unjustified

Anybody still on TC sanchez gw38 vs villa?
I don't know if its still a valid idea, but I can't find anyone worthy this gw
Caroll will be hard to get in my team since i already have kun-kane-defoe and no FT's

I am. Not confident enough in Payet, Hazard or Defoe this week so it's going to have to be. Yes he could be rested for the kids for last day but hope they're still going for 3rd and he plays 90 and he should outscore my three other options for this week
