There’s emotion in the air as we prepare to bid goodbye to another season in tonight’s ScoutCast.

I’m joined by Jonty, Andy and Luke as we take the opportunity to look back on our campaigns, dwelling on our successes and regrets and recalling our favourite moments from a most testing Fantasy Football season.

We also take time to identify out lessons learned and appraise the Fantasy Premier League season, carrying out a “Chips Post Mortem”, whilst discussing the likely impact of next season’s Friday night kick-offs.

Finally, for one last time this term, we look forward to the weekend and attempt to identify the final day heroes who could yet make an impression on ranks and mini-leagues.

The ScoutCast is first aired live on our YouTube channel on Wednesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get a heads up on future broadcasts.

You can view the full Google Hangout version of this episode via the second player below or stream the edited audio from this link or the first player.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Not clear how much money you have, but Carrol and Firmino to Giroud and DeBruyne would be great--if you can't afford that then Giroud and Mane/Tadic.

Protecting first place in 2 x cash mini-leagues (5pts and 29pts in front), used my 1 FT for Townsend to Tadic early as had exact money ITB, don't wanna take any hits if poss (they will have to for sure to stand a chance i think).

5pts in front of this rival in biggest cash ML :

    Lloris

    Smalling / Bellerin / Cresswell / Morgan

    Payet / Mahrez / Hazard

    Kun / Carroll / Defoe

    McCarthy, Delaney, Siggy, Alli

Has 1 FT and 2.4 ITB...all chips used.

    ME 2188 :

    Migs

    Valencia / Bellerin /Cresswell

    Payet / Sanchez / Hazard / Mane / Tadic

    Kun / Carroll

    Darlow, PVA, Simpson, Defoe.

    0 FT's and 0 ITB...no chips left also.

Am thinking Sanchez is big enough diff even if he does bring in Southampton and can see him poss going with Carroll > Giroud maybe for -4?? He'll 99% captain Aguero.

    So basically i either :

A - Stick and captain Sanchez?
B - Stick and captain Kun?
C - Carroll > to Long -4 (giving triple Southampton) Captain Sanchez?

Sorry for long post but this is my final hurdle and just wanna get it right, any input/ideas much appreciated...thanks 😉

Tadic would make sense in the middle but if you have the lead should have pu'd one of his starters. Next try to predict who he is likely to Capt. Good Luck, you do have all his fwds blocked.

Ty for reply, he is likely to capt Aguero i think and won't be able to bring Sanchez in, so do i try block his Kun captaincy by doing the same or capt Sanchez as big diff? Thanks 😉

      A. But I have to say that the length of this post meant that I scrolled down to the questions and am just answering on principle: you should captian Sanchez because he will score the most points.

Likely to transfer out Defoe, because I can get a potent striker, but leaving PVA, because I reckon he will either play or not play (ie, no cameo). There are reasons to think that Defoe will play (trying to get an England call-up) but I don't like the doubt.

Currently 33rd in the world for Quarter 4 of the overall rankings. 39 points behind number 1 spot. Probably too far ahead to catch, but really want that prize!

    Current squad:

That looks like Fate. And yes, I would bench Defoe. Don't take my advice alone, of course, but I would do exactly that in your situation: Firmino to Mane and Carroll to Giroud. But this all depends on whether it is clear that Mane is fit.

I really fancy Giroud this week. Think that could easily be a 4 or 5 nil scoreline. Same with the Southampton match. Might have to take a punt and captain one of Giroud/Mane if I do bring them in. Cheers for the tip mate, hadn't even considered it.

    DDG
    Bellerin PVA
    Sanchez Hazard Fabregas Townsend Payet
    Defoe Carroll Sturridge

    Gomes Fuchs Cresswell Martin

    Planning to take -8 hit:
    1. Carroll to Giroud
    2. Sturridge to Kane
    3. Townsend to tadic/arnautovic or fabregas to eriksen

Any sugestion regarding the transfer plan would be very much appreciated.

Not sure such a big hit is wise given it's the final GW - am suffering with a similar dilemma below

Despite this season being a bit of a nightmare - I've probably had more fun in the last couple of months than ever before. 167 in GW 34 and 126 in GW37 have somehow propelled me into the top 40k (from 300k mark in GW 30).

I'm now within touching distance (5 points!) of 1st in my main ML - what do you think I should do with this team?

    De Gea
    Azpilicueta - PvA - Smalling
    Sanchez - Fabregas - Hazard - Payet - Firmino
    Carroll - Defoe

    (Mannone, Cathcart, Reid, Sturridge)

Lots of players I'd like to bring in (Kane, Giroud, Eriksen, Tadic, Bellerin) but can't really justify too many hits given it's the final GW..

I'm thinking Sturridge -> Kane and then benching Firmino. Should I be bolder?

I'm not sure how much the back-story has to do with it, but Sturridge to Kane is sound. I think Giroud is more likely to score (and the bookies do too) so that is where I would go. Firmino to Mane (or Tadic) is also recommended.

Ha sorry got a bit carried away. Just couldn't believe I've got a chance of winning my ML. Thanks for the feedback.

13 points above above 10k. Agueroless. Want to stay there.

Do I take -4 to bring him in.

    Yah or nah.

No way. He is away, without Silva, and against a team that has shown some recent spirit. He might do well, but getting him for a -4 is not a cautious thing to do.
