Sunday affords DraftKings managers a trio of Euro 2016 fixtures to construct their squads around as Groups C and D get up and running.

Our next set of player recommendations assess whatโ€™s on offer tomorrow as in-form pair Turkey and Croatia square up in the early two o’clock slot before Poland take on Northern Ireland and Germany go head-to-head with Ukraine later in the evening.

Croatia and Turkey both boast fine recent records. The pair have tasted defeat just once in their last 13 and 16 fixtures respectively and Croatia warmed up for their opener with a 10-0 trouncing of San Marino in midweek.

World Champions Germany fired more shots and attempts on target than any side on the road to Euro 2016, whilst Poland arrive as the top scoring team in qualifying.

Weโ€™ve assembled our player tips for Sundayโ€™s DraftKings contests below, focusing on a mix of big-money names that are likely to be key figures, along with a sprinkle of value alternatives that may just prove equally vital to our eight-man line-ups.

Matchday 3 Player Picks

Darijo Srna, Croatia โ€“ $6100
The Croatia captainโ€™s raids down the flank look vital to his sideโ€™s prospects against Turkey. Srna sat third top for crosses amongst defenders in qualifying and has maintained that form in the last four friendlies by earning a trio of assists. Turkey are clearly susceptible to aerial balls โ€“ they conceded 22 headed attempts over the group stages, the fourth-worst defensive record โ€“ and with target man Mario Mandzukic back in top form, Srnaโ€™s supply line could prove decisive.

Jakub Wawrzyniak, Poland โ€“ $4100
With three clean sheets in their final four friendlies, Polandโ€™s defence looks worthy of consideration against a Northern Ireland outfit that has scored more than a single goal in just one of their last seven. An injury to first-choice left-back Maciej Rybus has allowed Jakub Wawrzyniak to start two of the final three friendlies. Priced at a kind $X, he produced a cross every 30.4 minutes in qualifying, quicker than the pricier Lukasz Piszczek on the opposite side of the back-four for Adam Nawalkaโ€™s side.

Toni Kroos, Germany โ€“ $6700
An all-action option in the centre of the park, Kroos was ranked amongst the top five midfielders for both attempts on goal and chances created in the qualifiers. Having averaged 73% possession on the road to France, Germany are likely to dominate proceedings against Ukraine, with Kroosโ€™ ball-winning abilities key to breaking up their opponentsโ€™ rapid counter attacks. Number one for corner kicks, the Real Madrid man offers a secure pick at a time where Joachim Lowe is mulling over the make-up of his attack.

Yevhen Konoplyanka, Ukraine โ€“ $7100
The Ukraine wide man approaches the tournament in fine fettle after bagging two goals and a pair of assists in his last four outings. Konoplyankaโ€™s pace and trickery on the break will be a vital weapon against Germany if Mikhail Fomenkoโ€™s side are to upset the world champions โ€“ he won more fouls than any player over the qualifiers. As his nationโ€™s chief creator from open play and dead ball situations, Konoplyanka will be tasked with unlocking a backline thatโ€™s managed just a single clean sheet in their last nine matches.

Robert Lewandowski, Poland โ€“ $11,200
Given that Thomas Muller could be utilised on Germanyโ€™s right flank against Ukraine, weโ€™re turning to Polandโ€™s talisman as our premium DraftKings forward for Sundayโ€™s matches. Top scorer in qualifying with 13 strikes, Lewandowski also supplied a trio of assists and played a part in 51% of his sideโ€™s goals. Opponents Northern Ireland can be expected to sit deep and soak up the pressure but considering they mustered a mere three clean sheets on the road to France, the Bayern Munich frontman should be afforded plenty of opportunities to get off the mark.

DraftKings contests for Sunday’s matches are now available, including a $3 entry “Striker” with a $5k prize pot.

DraftKings is available only to those aged 18 or over. Be sure to take note of their Terms and Conditions here.

      Muller is 10-20 points easy

  3. England were poor against a very bad Russian team - Sterling looked attacking but no end product as usual - Lallana should be nowhere near the squad. Far too many unnecessary offsides. 5 players from the team that finished 3rd in the league, yet none from the team that won the league. Hopefully we flop in this tournament (as we have zero chance of winning it) so we can get Woy (whose survival after the abysmal World Cup performance was a worldwide embarrassment).

he was joint top scorer in euro 2012 and is 3 off being the joint highest scorer in euros history. he has also arguably NEVER played against a team as weak as iceland on paper, so let's put this myth to bed already.

                ^this.

In fact, Zlatan is also at 6, with less matches than Ronaldo. And Rooney at 5, with only half as many games as Ronaldo.

his record being worse than the record of one of the most successful forwards of the 21st century and england's all time leading goalscorer doesn't really imply anything about how much he'll score against iceland. it also doesn't imply that they would be better options given that one is in a far harder group and one is playing in midfield.

Oh, I'm not having the "is Ronaldo against Iceland a good option" argument. I only entered the "does Ronaldo have a great record in Euros" part, or will he be the best Euro player ever if he breaks in 20 matches the scoring record that Platini set in 5 matches.

And I wouldn't belittle Platini's record because it was scored at the 80's. There weren't more goals in the game back then, and if you look at the top scorer lists it's not as if there were others from 80's with that kind of crazy record. In fact, most players on top scorers list are from recent years.

ah fair enough. i wasn't arguing he's close to being the best euros player ever or close to platini, i just think saying he can't hack it at international tournaments is too far, it surely isn't a *bad* record. and yeah, i was initially responding to the idea that he won't score against iceland *because* internationals are a 'step too far' for him or w/e. if someone was arguing he won't score against spain or something because he's nowhere near as prolific for country as club, then yeah fair enough.

his record compared to other players from his era is perfectly good and absolutely not deserving of your comments, especially when you consider the average team he's normally been playing with and how quickly they've been knocked out of some tournaments.

in euro 2008 czech republic won their qualifying group ahead of germany btw.

                  Um, still:

Ronaldo 6 goals in 14 matches
                  Zlatan 6 goals 11 matches
Rooney 5 goals in 7 matches.

to clarify (also see above): i do think ronaldo tries too hard in international tournaments and may well not be capable of looking great for such an average side, but i don't really think that's his fault and i don't think he needs to be great to score plenty in this group. hungary are the worst side in the tournament and iceland aren't that much better - even austria aren't exactly one of the big guns.

Goin by what you and Kingnidge said that's kind of crap... if you setup a fun league here you want people you at least semi recognise.

Reminds me of the FPL Cup, about 2/3rds of the people that qualify have never so much as written or contributed anything on this site

True. It is difficult to make sure people participate fully in these kind of things though.

We noticed during FIFFSA a lot of people dont get into the spirit of things as much. They work best when there is banter

Still a good score. Wait until the end of the week. A Big score from someone would be huge especially as a lot of teh top people will have their captains locked in already

Should I take out Giroud for Calhanoglu?

    Front 8 are:

    Payet (10) - Ozil - Blaszczykowski - Perisic
    Bale (6) - Giroud (5) - Milik

And should I swap my Bale captain to one of those and to who?
