Friday’s second Euro 2016 match sees the Czech Republic meet Croatia, one of the tournament’s most attacking sides so far.

In overcoming Turkey 1-0 in their opening Group D clash Ante Cacic’s side had an impressive 19 goal attempts.

In sharp contrast, the Czech Republic, could only muster six attempts on goal in their 1-0 opening game defeat to Spain. If Pavel Vrba’s side do not score today this will be the first time they have failed to register a goal in two consecutive European Championships games. Their last draw in 90 minutes at the European Championships came in their Euro 96 goalless semi-final against France. They eventually won that match on penalties, only to lose to Germany in the final.

This is the first competitive meeting between the two sides. In their two friendly encounters, which took place in 1996 and 2011, Croatia have the edge winning both times.

Really looking forward to the Spain Croatia game. Interesting to see how they get on against a "top" team assuming they play a full strength team.

Great touch by Perisic going to both guys that lost their fathers this week after scoring the goal.

Unlikely. Czech Republic is forced to attack now or else they'll be going out. Perisic should be getting more chances in the second half.

Rival in mini league (for some reason) has modric, I have perisic.

After last week proving immensely frustrating for me, this is much more like it. From his performance last time out it was only a matter of time before perisic started racking up the points
